1 In yac se akluo ma Darius el tokosra fulat lun Persia, ke len se oemeet in malem se akonkosr, LEUM GOD El tuh kaskas nu sin mwet uh sel mwet palu Haggai. Kas inge ma nu sel Zerubbabel, governor lun Judah su wen natul Shealtiel, ac nu sel Joshua, Mwet Tol Fulat su wen natul Jehozadak.
In the second yeere of King Darius, in the sixt moneth, the first day of the moneth, came ye worde of the Lord (by the ministery of the Prophet Haggai) vnto Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, a prince of Iudah, and to Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, saying,
2 LEUM GOD Kulana El fahk nu sel Haggai, “Mwet inge fahk mu tia pacl fal se pa inge in sifilpa musai Tempul.”
Thus speaketh the Lord of hostes, saying, This people say, The time is not yet come, that the Lords House should be builded.
3 Na LEUM GOD El fahk kas inge nu sin mwet uh sel mwet palu Haggai:
Then came the worde of the Lord by the ministerie of the Prophet Haggai, saying,
4 “Mwet luk, efu ku kowos muta in lohm ma musaiyukla arulana wo, a Tempul luk musallana oan?
Is it time for your selues to dwell in your sieled houses, and this House lie waste?
5 Ku kowos tiana akilen ma sikyak nu suwos uh?
Now therefore thus saith ye Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts.
6 Kowos yukwiya fita na pukanten, a ma kowos kosrani uh arulana pu. Oasr mwe mongo nowos, a kowos tia ku in kihpi kac. Oasr wain kowos in nim, a kowos tia muti kac! Oasr nuknuk lowos, tuh tia ku in akfusrfusrye kowos. Ac mwet orekma uh, molol tia fal in sang enenu lal.
Ye haue sowen much, and bring in litle: ye eate, but ye haue not ynough: ye drinke, but ye are not filled: ye clothe you, but ye be not warme: and he that earneth wages, putteth the wages into a broken bagge.
7 Kowos tiana akilen lah efu ku sikyak ouinge?
Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts.
8 Kowos utyak inge nu fineol uh, pakema kutu sak, ac sifil musaela Tempul, na nga fah insewowo, ac kowos fah alu nu sik we.
Goe vp to the mountaine, and bring wood, and build this House, and I wil be fauourable in it, and I will be glorified, sayth the Lord.
9 “Kowos finsrak nu ke kosrani yohk, a ma kowos kosrani uh arulana srik. Ac ke kowos use ma kowos kosrani nu lohm suwos, nga okla wanginla. Efu ku nga oru ouinge? Mweyen Tempul luk oanna musalla, a kais sie suwos kafofona in orekma ke lohm sel sifacna.
Ye looked for much, and lo, it came to litle: and when ye brought it home, I did blowe vpon it. And why, sayth the Lord of hostes? Because of mine House that is waste, and ye runne euery man vnto his owne house.
10 Pa inge sripen wangin af, ac wangin ma ku in kapak uh.
Therefore the heauen ouer you stayed it selfe from dewe, and the earth stayed her fruite.
11 Nga use tuka nu fin acn uh — aok nu fin inging uh, ac inima in wheat, inima in grape, inima in sak olive, ac nu fin fohk nukewa su oswe fokin ima uh, oayapa nu fin mwet ac ma orakrak, ac nu fin ma nukewa kowos srike in yukwiya.”
And I called for a drought vpon the land, and vpon the mountaines, and vpon the corne, and vpon the wine, and vpon the oyle, vpon all that the ground bringeth foorth: both vpon men and vpon cattell, and vpon all the labour of the hands.
12 Na Zerubbabel ac Joshua ac mwet nukewa su foloko liki sruoh in Babylonia elos oru ma LEUM GOD lalos El fahk nu selos in oru. Elos tuh sangeng sin LEUM GOD, oru elos akos na ma Haggai, mwet palu su mwet kulansap lun LEUM GOD, el fahk.
When Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, and Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest with all the remnant of the people, heard the voyce of the Lord their God, and the wordes of the Prophet Haggai (as the Lord their God had sent him) then the people did feare before the Lord.
13 Na Haggai el sang kas lun LEUM GOD inge nu sin mwet uh: “Nga ac fah wi kowos — pa inge wulela luk.”
Then spake Haggai the Lords messenger in the Lords message vnto the people, saying, I am with you, sayth the Lord.
14 LEUM GOD El pirik mwet nukewa in orekma ke Tempul: Governor Zerubbabel lun Judah; Mwet Tol Fulat Joshua, ac mwet nukewa su foloko liki sruoh. Elos mutawauk in orekma ke Tempul lun LEUM GOD Kulana, su God lalos,
And the Lord stirred vp the spirite of Zerubbabel, the sonne of Shealtiel a prince of Iudah, and the spirit of Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people, and they came, and did the worke in the House of the Lord of hostes their God.
15 ke len aklongoul akosr ke malem se akonkosr ke yac se akluo in pacl Darius el tokosra fulat.
In the foure and twentieth day of the sixt moneth, in the second yeere of King Darius,
