1 Pre se inge ma lal Habakkuk, mwet palu:
A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, according to the Shigionoth.
2 O LEUM GOD, nga lohng tari ke pungom, Ac nga arulana fwefela ke orekma lom. Sifilpa oru in pacl lasr uh Orekma usrnguk ma kom tuh oru meet ah. Pakoten nu sesr, finne pacl kom kasrkusrak.
I have heard, Lord, of your fame, I have seen, Lord, your work; through the years you have make yourself known, in wrath you remember mercy.
3 God El ac sifilpa tuku Edom me; God mutal El tuku liki eol srisrik lun Paran, Wolana lal afunla inkusrao, Ac faclu sessesla ke kaksakinyal.
God comes from Teman, and the Holy One from the mountain-land of Paran. (Selah) His glory covers the heavens, and his splendour fills the earth.
4 El tuku wi kalmen sarom; Kalem sarmelik liki inpaol, Yen ku lal wikla we.
Before him it is like the light, rays he has at his side, where his power is hidden.
5 El supu mas upa uh in fahsr meet lukel, Ac sapkin tuh misa in fahsr tokol.
Before him pestilence stalks, after him plague follows.
6 Ke pacl se El tui, faclu kusrusr; Ke ngetang lal, mutunfacl uh rarrar. Fineol ma nuna oan oemeet me muliplipi, Ac eol srisrik su ac oan nwe tok tili, Aok eol srisrik yen El fahsr we in pacl oemeet ah.
He stands, and the earth trembles, he looks, and the nations melt away, and the mountains of old are scattered, the everlasting hills bow down. These are his ways from of old.
7 Nga liye ke mwet Cushan elos sangeng, Ac ke mwet Midian elos rarrar.
The tents of Cushan are afraid, the curtains of Midian tremble.
8 LEUM GOD, ya infacl uh pa tuh oru kom kasrkusrakak ah? Ya meoa uh pa tuh oru kom foloyak ah? Kom kasrusr fin pukunyeng uh; Pukunyeng in paka uh pa chariot nutum Ke kom tuh use kutangla nu sin mwet lom.
Is your wrath, Lord, with the rivers? Is your anger against the streams? Or your rage against the sea? Is that why you ride on your war-steeds? Why you mount your chariots of victory?
9 Kom akola in orekmakin mwe pisr nutum, Akola in pisrik sukan pisr nutum. Sarom lom foklalik faclu.
Why you bare your bow? Why you fill your quiver with shafts? You split the earth with torrents.
10 Pacl se ke eol uh tuh liye kom, elos rarrar; Kof uh kahkla inkusrao me. Kof ye faclu ngirngir, Ac noa kaclos pisryak nwe lucng.
The mountains see you and writhe. The tempest of waters sweeps by. The great deep sends forth its voice, and lifts up its hands.
11 Ke usren mui lun pisr nutum Ac saromla lun osra saromrom nutum Faht uh ac malem uh tui, tia mukuikui.
The sun forgets to rise. The moon stands still in its place. Your arrows go forth to give light. Your glittering spear is as lightning.
12 Kom fahsr sasla fin faclu ke kasrkusrak, Kom futfutungya facl puspis ke folo lom.
In rage you stride over the earth. In wrath you trample the nations.
13 Kom illa in molela mwet lom, In molela tokosra lom su kom sulela. Kom uniya mwet kol lun mwet koluk Ac sukela mwet lal nukewa.
You go forth to save your people. You go to help your anointed. You crush the head of the wicked nation, laying him bare from thigh to neck. (Selah)
14 Mwe pisr nutum fakisya ac sasla ke mwet kol fulat lun un mwet mweun Ke elos tuku oana sie paka in liskutelik. Elos engnu oana mwet su akkeokye mwet sukasrup in lukma.
You pierced his head with his spears, as his champions storm out to scatter us, as they rejoice to devour the poor secretly.
15 Horse nutum uh futungya inkof uh, Oru inkof uh wiawala.
You tread the sea with your horses, while the mighty waters roar.
16 Nga lohng ma inge nukewa, ac nga rarrar; Ngoasrok rarak ke sangeng. Monuk ulla, Ac niuk tukulkul. Nga fah misla tupan pacl se Ke God El ac fah kalyei mwet ma mweuni kut uh.
I hear, and my body trembles, and at the sound my lips quiver. My bones begin to decay, and my footsteps totter beneath me, while I long for the day of distress to come upon those who attack us.
17 Sak fig finne wangin fahko Ac wangin grape ke oa in grape uh, Sak olive finne tia fokla Ac ima uh finne tia isus fahko, Sheep nukewa finne misa Ac kalkal in cow uh pisala,
Though the fig tree bears no fruit, and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive harvest fails, and the fields produce no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls,
18 Nga fah srakna insewowo ac engan Mweyen LEUM GOD El langoeyu.
yet I will exult in the Lord, and rejoice in the God who saves me.
19 LEUM GOD Fulatlana El ase ku nu sik. El oru niuk in oakwuk oana soko deer, Ac karinginyu fineol uh.
The Lord God is my strength; he makes my feet as sure as the feet of deer, and causes me to walk on the heights! To the music director: Use stringed instruments.
