Genesis 36

Nowe these are the generations of Esau, which is Edom.

2 Esau el payuk sin mutan Canaan inge: Adah, acn natul Elon mwet Hit; Oholibamah, acn natul Anah wen natul Zibeon mwet Hiv;

Esau tooke his wiues of the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon an Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon an Hiuite,

3 ac Basemath, acn natul Ishmael ac tamtael lal Nebaioth.

And tooke Basemath Ishmaels daughter, sister of Nebaioth.

4 Adah el oswella Eliphaz. Basemath el oswella Reuel.

And Adah bare vnto Esau, Eliphaz: and Basemath bare Reuel.

5 Oholibamah el oswella Jeush, Jalam, ac Korah. Mukul inge nukewa isusyang nu sel Esau in acn Canaan.

Also Aholibamah bare Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah: these are the sonnes of Esau which were borne to him in the land of Canaan.

6 Na Esau el us mutan kial, wen natul, acn natul, ac mwet nukewa in lohm sel, wi kosro nukewa natul ac ma lal nukewa ma el eis in acn Canaan, ac som lukel Jacob, tamulel lal, nu ke sie pac acn.

So Esau tooke his wiues and his sonnes, and his daughters, and all the soules of his house, and his flocks, and all his cattell, and all his substance, which he had gotten in the land of Canaan, and went into an other countrey from his brother Iaakob.

For their riches were so great, that they could not dwell together, and the lande, wherein they were strangers, coulde not receiue them because of their flockes.

8 Ouinge Esau el som ac muta infulan eol in acn Edom.

Therefore dwelt Esau in mount Seir: this Esau is Edom.

9 Pa inge fwilin tulik natul Esau, papa tumun mwet Edom.

So these are the generations of Esau father of Edom in mount Seir.

10 Inen wen natul Esau pa inge: Eliphaz wen natul Adah, mutan kial Esau. Reuel wen natul Basemath, sie pac mutan kial Esau.

These are the names of Esaus sonnes: Eliphaz, the sonne of Adah, the wife of Esau, and Reuel the sonne of Bashemath, the wife of Esau.

11 Wen natul Eliphaz pa Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam ac Kenaz.

And the sonnes of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.

12 (Timna el mutan kulansap se kial Eliphaz, wen natul Esau, ac el oswella Amalek nu sel Eliphaz.) Elos inge wen natul Adah, mutan se meet kial Esau.

And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esaus sonne, and bare vnto Eliphaz, Amalek: these be the sonnes of Adah Esaus wife.

13 Ac wen natul Reuel pa Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, ac Mizzah. Elos inge wen natul Basemath, mutan se akluo kial Esau.

And these are the sonnes of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.

14 Oholibamah, acn natul Anah wen natul Zibeon, el oswela wen tolu nu sel Esau, inelos pa Jeush, Jalam, ac Korah.

And these were the sonnes of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon Esaus wife: for she bare vnto Esau, Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.

15 Pa inge sou lulap ma tuku ke fwilin tulik natul Esau. Eliphaz, wen se omeet natul Esau, pa sifen sou lulap inge: Teman, Omar, Zepho, Kenaz,

These were Dukes of the sonnes of Esau: the sonnes of Eliphaz, the first borne of Esau: Duke Teman, Duke Omar, Duke Zepho, Duke Kenaz,

16 Korah, Gatam, ac Amalek. Elos inge nukewa ma natul Adah, mutan se meet kial Esau.

Duke Korah, Duke Gatam, Duke Amalek: these are the Dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom: these were the sonnes of Adah.

17 Reuel, wen natul Esau, pa sifen sou lulap inge: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, ac Mizzah. Elos inge kewa ma natul Basemath, mutan se akluo kial Esau.

And these are the sonnes of Reuel Esaus sonne: Duke Nahath, Duke Zerah, Duke Shammah, Duke Mizzah: these are the Dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom: these are the sonnes of Bashemath Esaus wife.

18 Sou lulap inge ma tuku kacl Oholibamah, mutan se aktolu kial Esau, su acn natul Anah: Jeush, Jalam, ac Korah.

Likewise these were the sonnes of Aholibamah Esaus wife: Duke Ieush, Duke Iaalam, Duke Korah: these Dukes came of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah Esaus wife.

19 Sou lulap inge nukewa tuku ke fwilin tulik natul Esau.

These are the children of Esau, and these are the Dukes of them: This Esau is Edom.

20 Pa inge mukul natul Seir mwet Hor, su mwet na pwaye lun acn Edom: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,

These are the sonnes of Seir the Horite, which inhabited the lande before, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah.

21 Dishon, Ezer, ac Dishan. Elos pa sou lulap lun mwet Hor, su wen natul Seir in acn Edom.

And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the Dukes of the Horites, the sonnes of Seir in the land of Edom.

22 Lotan pa sifen sou lulap lal Hori ac Heman. (Oasr pac tamtael se lal Lotan pangpang Timna.)

And the sonnes of Lotan were, Hori and Hemam, and Lotans sister was Timna.

23 Shobal pa sifen sou lulap lal Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho, ac Onam.

And the sonnes of Shobal were these: Aluan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.

24 Oasr wen luo natul Zibeon, inelos pa Aiah ac Anah. (Pa inge Anah se ma konauk unon in kof fol se in acn mwesis ke pacl se el liyaung donkey natul Zibeon, papa tumal.)

And these are the sonnes of Zibeon: Both Aiah, and Anah: this was Anah that founde mules in the wildernesse, as he fedde his father Zibeons asses.

25 Oasr mukul se natul Anah, inel pa Dishon, ac mutan se natul pa Oholibamah.

And the children of Anah were these: Dishon and Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah.

26 Ac wen natul Dishon pa Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran, ac Cheran.

Also these are the sonnes of Dishan: Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

27 Ezer pa papa tumun sou lulap lun Bilhan, Zaavan, ac Akan.

The sonnes of Ezer are these: Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Akan.

28 Dishan pa papa tumun sou lulap lun Uz ac Aran.

The sonnes of Dishan are these: Vz, and Aran.

29 Pa inge inen sou lulap lun mwet Hor: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,

These are the Dukes of the Horites: Duke Lotan, Duke Shobal, Duke Zibeon, Duke Anah,

30 Dishon, Ezer, ac Dishan. Pa inge kais sie sou lulap lun mwet Hor in facl Seir.

Duke Dishon, Duke Ezer, Duke Dishan: these bee the Dukes of the Horites, after their Dukedomes in the land of Seir.

31 Pa inge tokosra ma leumi acn Edom, meet liki mutawauk in oasr tokosra lun mwet Israel:

And these are the Kings that reigned in the lande of Edom, before there reigned any King ouer the children of Israel.

32 Bela, wen natul Beor, el leum fin acn Edom. Inen siti sel pa Dinhabah.

Then Bela the sonne of Beor reigned in Edom, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.

33 Bela el misa, ac Jobab, wen natul Zerah mwet Bozrah, el aolulla in tokosra.

And when Bela dyed, Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozra reigned in his steade.

34 Jobab el misa, ac Husham, su muta in acn sin mwet Teman, el aolulla in tokosra.

When Iobab also was dead, Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his steade.

35 Husham el misa, ac Hadad wen natul Bedad, su tuh kutangla mwet Midia in acn Moab, el aolulla in tokosra. Inen siti sel pa Avith.

And after the death of Husham, Hadad the sonne of Bedad, which slewe Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.

36 Hadad el misa, ac Samlah, sie mwet Masrekah, el aolulla in tokosra.

When Hadad was dead, then Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his steade.

37 Samlah el misa, ac Shaul mwet Rehoboth, sie siti sisken Infacl Euphrates, el aolulla in tokosra.

When Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer, reigned in his steade.

38 Shaul el misa, ac Baal Hanan, wen natul Achbor, el aolulla in tokosra.

When Shaul dyed, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his steade.

39 Baal Hanan wen natul Achbor el misa, ac Hadar el aolulla in tokosra. Inen siti sel pa Pau, ac inen mutan kial uh pa Mehetabel, acn natul Matred, su acn natul Mezahab.

And after the death of Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor, Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pau: and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

40 Pa inge inen sifen sou lulap lal Esau, ke sou lalos ac inen acn selos: Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,

Then these are the names of the Dukes of Esau according to their families, their places and by their names: Duke Timna, Duke Aluah, Duke Ietheth,

41 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,

Duke Aholibamah, Duke Elah, Duke Pinon,

42 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,

Duke Kenaz, Duke Teman, Duke Mibzar,

43 Magdiel, ac Iram. Pa inge sou lulap lal Edom. Edom pa Esau, su papa tumun Edom, fal nu ke oakwuk lalos in acn selos.

Duke Magdiel, Duke Iram: these bee the Dukes of Edom, according to their habitations, in the lande of their inheritance. This Esau is the father of Edom.
