< Deuteronomy 15 >

1 “Ke yac akitkosr nukewa, kowos fah sisla soemoul lalos nukewa su soemoul nu suwos ke mani.
“At the end of seven years you make a release,
2 Kowos ac oru ouinge: Kutena mwet su sang mani nu sin sie mwet Israel wial, elan sisla soemoul sac; el fah tia srike in eisla sel, mweyen LEUM GOD El fahk tari in sisila soemoul uh.
and this [is] the matter of the release: every owner of a loan [is] to release his hand which he lifts up against his neighbor, he does not exact of his neighbor and of his brother, but has proclaimed a release to YHWH;
3 Kowos ku in sap mwetsac nukewa in folokonot soemoul lalos nu suwos, tusruktu kowos tia enenu in eis soemoul lun mwet Israel wiowos.
of the stranger you may exact, but that which is yours with your brother your hand releases,
4 “LEUM GOD lowos El ac fah akinsewowoye kowos in facl se su El sot nu suwos. Wangin sie suwos ac fah sukasrup,
except there is an end [when] no poor [are] with you; for YHWH greatly blesses you in the land which your God YHWH is giving to you [for] an inheritance to possess it,
5 kowos fin aksol ac arulana karinganang in oru ma nukewa nga sapkin nu suwos misenge.
only if you listen diligently to the voice of your God YHWH, to observe to do all this command which I am commanding you today.
6 LEUM GOD El fah akinsewowoye kowos, oana ke El wulela. Kowos fah sang mani nu sin mutunfacl puspis su elos ac fah enenu in folokonot, tusruktu kowos fah tia enenu in ngusr mani selos. Kowos fah leumi mutunfacl puspis, tusruktu wangin mutunfacl ac fah leum fowos.
For your God YHWH has blessed you as He has spoken to you; and you have lent [to] many nations, but you have not borrowed; and you have ruled over many nations, but they do not rule over you.
7 “Fin oasr sie mwet Israel muta in enenu in kutena siti ke facl se ma LEUM GOD lowos El asot nu suwos, kowos in tia nunku keiwos sifacna, a kowos in kasrel.
When there is with you any poor of one of your brothers, in one of your cities, in your land which your God YHWH is giving to you, you do not harden your heart, nor shut your hand from your needy brother;
8 Kowos in kulang ac engan in sang kutena enenu lal, na el ac fah folokonot tok.
for you certainly open your hand to him, and certainly lend him sufficiency for his lack which he lacks.
9 Kowos in tia srangesr sang mwe enenu lal an mweyen yac se akitkosr — yac in sisila soemoul uh — apkuranme. Nimet lela nunak koluk ouinge in oan in kowos. Kowos fin srunga sang enenu lun sie mwet Israel wiowos, el ac pang nu sin LEUM GOD lain kowos, ac kowos ac eis mwata.
Take heed to yourself lest there be a worthless word in your heart, saying, The seventh year [is] near, the year of release; and your eye is evil against your needy brother, and you do not give to him, and he has called to YHWH concerning you, and it has been sin in you;
10 Sang enenu lal an ke inse engan, tia ke inse toasr, na LEUM GOD El fah akinsewowoye kowos ke ma nukewa kowos oru.
you certainly give to him, and your heart is not sad in your giving to him, for because of this thing your God YHWH blesses you in all your works and in every putting forth of your hand;
11 Pacl nukewa ac oasr kutu mwet Israel su sukasrup ac muta in enenu, pa sis nga sapkin kowos in kulang nu selos ac kasrelos.
because the poor does not cease out of the land, therefore I am commanding you, saying, You certainly open your hand to your brother, to your poor and to your needy one in your land.
12 “Sie mwet Israel wiom, mukul ku mutan, fin sifacna kukakunul nu sum tuh elan mwet kohs lom, kom tufah fuhlella tukun el kulansupwekom ke yac onkosr. Ke sun yac se akitkosr, kom enenu in aksukosokyalla.
When your brother is sold to you, a Hebrew or a Hebrewess, and he has served you [for] six years, then in the seventh year you send him away free from you.
13 Na ke kom fuhlella elan sukosokla, nimet supwalla pisinpo.
And when you send him away free from you, you do not send him away empty;
14 Sang nu sel sheep ac nani, wheat ac wain, fal nu ke lupan ma LEUM GOD El akinsewowoye kom kac.
you certainly adorn him from your flock, and from your threshing-floor, and from your wine-vat; you give to him [from] that which your God YHWH has blessed you [with],
15 Esam lah kowos tuh mwet kohs in Egypt, ac LEUM GOD lowos El molikowosla, pa oru nga sot ma sap se inge nu suwos.
and you have remembered that you have been a servant in the land of Egypt, and your God YHWH ransoms you; therefore I am commanding you this thing today.
16 “Tusruktu mwet kohs lom an fin lungse kom ac sou lom, sahp el ac tia lungse som liki kom, a el ac kena mutana yurum.
And it has been, when he says to you, I do not go out from you, because he has loved you and your house, because [it is] good for him with you,
17 Fin ouinge, usalla nu ke srungul in lohm sum, ac putala sie pat ah ke sracl, na el ac fah mwet kohs lom ke lusenna moul lal. Oru oapana nu sin mutan kohs lom.
then you have taken the awl, and have put [it] through his ear, and through the door, and he has been a perpetual servant to you; and you also do so to your handmaid.
18 Nik kom inse toasr ke kom aksukosokyela sie mwet kohs lom, mweyen ke yac onkosr el tuh orekma nu sum ke tafunna molin sie mwet kulansap. Oru ouinge, na LEUM GOD El fah akinsewowoye kom in ma nukewa kom oru.
It is not hard in your eyes in your sending him away free from you; for [his worth has been] double the hire of a hired worker [when] he has served you six years; and your God YHWH has blessed you in all that you do.
19 “Srela nu sin LEUM GOD lowos wounse mukul ke cow ac sheep nutuwos. Nimet sang cow inge in orekma, ac nimet kal unen sheep inge.
Every firstling that is born in your herd and in your flock—you sanctify the male to your God YHWH; you do not work with the firstling of your ox, nor shear the firstling of your flock;
20 Ke kais sie yac, kowos ac sou lowos in kang ma inge ye mutun LEUM GOD ke acn sefanna ma El sulela kowos in alu nu sel we.
you eat it before your God YHWH year by year, in the place which YHWH chooses, you and your house.
21 Tusruktu kosro inge fin ul, ku kun, ku oasr kutena ma koluk yohk ke manolos, kowos fah tia kisakin nu sin LEUM GOD lowos.
And when there is a blemish in it, [or it is] lame or blind, [or has] any evil blemish, you do not sacrifice it to your God YHWH;
22 Kowos ku in kang kosro ouinge in lohm suwos. Finne mwet ma aknasnasyeyukla ku tia, kowos nukewa ku in kang, oana ke kowos kang deer ku antelope.
you eat it within your gates, the unclean and the clean alike, as the roe and as the deer.
23 Tusruktu nimet kang srah kac — kowos in okoala nu infohk uh oana kof uh.
Only, you do not eat its blood—you pour it on the earth as water.”
