< Daniel 3 >
1 Tokosra Nebuchadnezzar el sap orekla ma sruloala gold se, fit eungoul fulata ac fit eu sralap, ac el sap tulokyak in acn tupasrpasr se pangpang Dura, apkuran nu ke siti Babylon.
King Nebuchadnezzar made a gold statue that was sixty cubits tall and six cubits wide. He set it up in the Plain of Dura in the province of Babylon.
2 Na tokosra el sapkin mwet pwapa lal nukewa in fahsreni — mwet fisrak nukewa, governor nukewa, governor akluo nukewa, mwet kol lun kais sie kain in orekma, mwet liyaung mwe kasrup, mwet nununku, mwet pwapa fulat ke kais sie acn, ac mwet kol saya nukewa lun acn we. Elos in fahsreni ac wi kisaela ma sroloala se ma Tokosra Nebuchadnezzar el tulokunak ah.
Then Nebuchadnezzar sent messages out to gather together the provincial governors, regional governors, and local governors, together with the counselors, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the high officials of the provinces to come to the dedication of the statue that he had set up.
3 Ke mwet fulat inge nukewa fahsreni nu ke kisa sac, ac tu ye mutun ma sruloala sac,
Then the provincial governors, regional governors, and local governors, together with the counselors, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the high officials of the provinces gathered together to the dedication of the statue that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. They stood before it.
4 sie mwet in sulkakin pweng lun tokosra el fahk ke sie pusra lulap, “Kowos, mwet mutunfacl nukewa, su sramsram ke kain in kas nukewa!
Then a herald loudly shouted, “You are commanded, peoples, nations, and languages,

that at the time you hear the sound of the horns, flutes, zithers, lyres, harps, and pipes, and all kinds of music, you must fall down and prostrate yourselves to the golden statue that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.
6 Kutena mwet su tia pasrla ac alu nu kac ac fah sisiyang nu in sie funyu in e firir uh.”
Whoever does not fall down and worship, at that very moment, will be thrown into a blazing furnace.”
7 Ouinge ke elos lohng pusren mwe on uh kasla, mwet in mutunfacl nukewa ac kain in kas nukewa elos pasrla ac alu nu ke ma sruloala gold se ma Tokosra Nebuchadnezzar el tulokunak ah.
So when all the peoples heard the sounds of the horns, flutes, zithers, lyres, harps, and pipes, and all kinds of music, all the peoples, nations, and languages fell down and prostrated themselves to the golden statue that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
8 In pacl sac, kutu sin mwet Babylonia elos konauk pacl wo lalos in akkolukye mwet Jew ah.
Now at this time certain Chaldeans came and brought accusations against the Jews.
9 Elos fahk ouinge nu sel Tokosra Nebuchadnezzar, “Lela in loes moul lun tokosra!
They said to Nebuchadnezzar the king, “King, live forever!
10 Tokosra tuh sapkin mu pusren mwe on uh fin kasla, mwet nukewa in pasrla ac alu nu ke ma sruloala gold sac,
You, king, have made a decree that every person who hears the sounds of the horns, flutes, zithers, lyres, harps, and pipes, and all kinds of music, must fall down and prostrate himself to the golden statue.
11 ac kutena mwet su tia pasrla ac alu nu kac ac fah sisiyang nu in sie funyu in e firir.
Whoever does not fall down and worship must be thrown into a blazing furnace.
12 Oasr kutu mwet Jew ma kom sang in karingin acn ma apkuran nu Babylon — Shadrach, Meshach ac Abednego — su tia akos sap lun tokosra. Elos tiana alu nu sin god lom uh, ku pasrla nu ke ma sroloala se kom tulokunak ah.”
Now there are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon; their names are Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, king, pay no attention to you. They will not worship or serve your gods, or prostrate themselves before the golden statue you have set up.”
13 Ke elos fahk ouinge, tokosra el arulana kasrkusrakak ac sap in utuku mwet tolu ah nu ye mutal.
Then Nebuchadnezzar, filled with anger and rage, commanded that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be brought to him. So they brought these men before the king.
14 Ac el fahk nu seltal, “Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, ya pwaye lah komtal srangesr alu nu sin god luk uh, ac tia pasrla nu ke ma sroloala se nga tulokunak ah?
Nebuchadnezzar said to them, “Have you made your minds up, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you will not worship my gods or prostrate yourselves to the golden statue that I have set up?
15 Komtal fin lohng pusren mwe ukuk, oboe, lyre, zither, harp, ac mwe on saya nukewa in kasla,’tal pasrla nu ke ma sroloala sac ac alu nu kac. Komtal fin tia, na ac sisiyang komtal nu ke funyu in e firir. Ku komtal nunku mu oasr god ac ku in molikomtalla?”
Now if you are ready—when you hear the sounds of the horns, flutes, zithers, lyres, harps, and pipes, and all kinds of music—to fall down and prostrate yourselves to the statue that I have made, all will be well. But if you do not worship, you will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace. Who is the god who is able to rescue you out of my hands?”
16 Na Shadrach, Meshach, ac Abednego topuk ac fahk nu sel, “O Tokosra, kut ac tia srike in fahk kutena kas in akwoye kut.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered the king, “Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.
17 God se su kut kulansap nu se uh fin ku in molikutla liki e firir ingan, ac liki ku lom, na El ac molikutla.
If there is an answer, it is that our God whom we serve is able to keep us safe from the blazing furnace, and he will rescue us out of your hand, king.
18 Tusruktu El finne tia molikutla, lela in arulana kalem sin tokosra lah kut tia ku in alu su sin god lom an, ac kut ac fah tiana pasrla nu ke ma sruloala gold se ma kom tulokunak an.”
But if not, let it be known to you, king, that we will not worship your gods, and we will not prostrate ourselves to the golden statue you set up.”
19 Na Nebuchadnezzar el arulana rarak ke kasrkusrak, ac ngetang suilya Shadrach, Meshach ac Abednego. Na el sap mwet lal uh in tanak e uh in fol pacl itkosr yohk liki pacl nukewa.
Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with rage; the look on his face changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He commanded that the furnace should be heated seven times hotter than it was normally heated.
20 Ac el sap mwet ma ku oemeet sin mwet mweun lal in kapriya mwet tolu inge ac siselosyang nu in funyu in e firir sac.
Then he commanded some very strong men in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and to throw them into the blazing furnace.
21 Ouinge elos kaprelosi ke elos putena nuknuk, susu, ac ma nukewa, ac siselosyang nu in funyu sac.
They were tied up still wearing their robes, tunics, turbans, and other clothing, and they were thrown into the blazing furnace.
22 Ac ke sripen tokosra el tuh sap in tayak e sac in arulana fol, oru e sac tuh esukak pac mwet ma us mwet tolu ah ac siselosyang nu ke e sac.
Because the king's command was strictly followed and the furnace was very hot, the flames killed the men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
23 Na Shadrach, Meshach, ac Abednego srakna kapir, ac sisiyang elos nu in fiten e sac.
These three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell into the blazing furnace while they were tied up.
24 In kitin pacl ah na Nebuchadnezzar el atuyak ke lut ac fwefela lal. Ac el siyuk sin mwet pwapa lal, “Ku tia mwet tolu pa kut kapriya ac sisang nu in e sac ah?” Ac elos fahk, “Aok, pwaye.”
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was amazed and stood up quickly. He asked his advisors, “Did we not throw three men tied up into the fire?” They replied to the king, “Certainly, king.”
25 Na el sifil siyuk, “Ac efu ku mwet akosr pa nga liye forfor in e se ingo? Eltal tiana kapir ac wanginna akilenya mu eltal fol — ac mwet se akakosr ingo oana luman lipufan se.”
He said, “But I see four men who are not tied up walking around in the fire, and they are not hurt. The brilliance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”
26 Ouinge Nebuchadnezzar el fahsryang nwe ke mutun funyu firir sac, pangyak ac fahk, “Shadrach! Meshach! Abednego! Kowos su mwet kulansapu God Fulatlana, oatume!” Na elos tukenina oatui.
Then Nebuchadnezzar came near the door of the blazing furnace and called out, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of God Most High, come out! Come here!” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the fire.
27 Mwet nukewa: fisrak, governor, governor akluo, ac mwet leum saya nukewa lal tokosra, elos fahsreni in liye mwet tolu ah, su tiana folla ke e sac. Aunsifalos ac nuknuk lalos tiana firiryak, ac elos tia pac fokulasrla ke e sac.
The provincial governors, regional governors, other governors, and the king's counselors who had gathered together saw these men. The fire had not hurt their bodies; the hair on their heads was not singed; their robes were not harmed; and there was no smell of fire on them.
28 Na tokosra el fahk, “Kaksakin God lal Shadrach, Meshach, ac Abednego! El supwama lipufan lal ac molela mwet su orekma nu sel ac lulalfongel inge. Elos tuh pilesrala moul lalos ac tia akos ma sap luk ke sripen elos tia lungse epasr nu sin kutena god sayen God lalos sifacna.
Nebuchadnezzar said, “Let us praise the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his messenger and given his message to his servants. They trusted in him when they set aside my command, and they gave up their bodies rather than worship or prostrate themselves to any god except their God.
29 “Na inge, nga sapkin tuh mwet in kutena mutunfacl, ku kutena kain in kas, fin fahk kutena kas ma ac akkolukye God lal Shadrach, Meshach, ac Abednego, ac fah sreyuki manol ke kupasr nukewa kacl, ac lohm sel fah rakinyuki nwe ke oana sie yol in kutkut. Wangin siena god su ku in oru inkanek in molela ouinge.”
Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language that speaks anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego must be torn apart, and that their houses must be made into rubbish heaps because there is no other god who is able to save like this.”
30 Ac tokosra el sifilpa kulak wal lal Shadrach, Meshach, ac Abednego in acn Babylon.
Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.
