< Orekma 5 >
But a certain man named Ananias, with Sappirah, his wife, sold a possession,
2 Tusruk el ac mutan kial insesela in sruokya kutu mani uh, ac sang ma lula nu sin mwet sap.
and kept back part of the price, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part, and put it at the apostles' feet.
3 Peter el fahk nu sel, “Ananias, efu ku kom lela Satan elan leum fom, oru kom kikiap nu sin Ngun Mutal ac sruokya kutu mani ke acn lom an?
But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Meet liki kom tuh kitala acn se lom ah, acn sac ma na lom; ac tukun kom kitala ah, mani kac ma pacna lom. Na efu ku kom sulela kom in oru ouingan? Kom tia kiapu mwet uh, a kom kiapu God!”
While you kept it, did not it remain your own? After it was sold, was not it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to people, but to God."
Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and died. Great fear came on all who heard it.
6 Na mukul fusr uh tuku, nokomla manol, ac usla pikinya.
The young men arose and wrapped him up, and they carried him out and buried him.
About three hours later, his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in.
8 Peter el siyuk sel, “Fahk nu sik, ya pa inge nufon lupan mani ma kom ac mukul tomom ah eis ke molin acn lomtal ah?” Ac mutan sac fahk, “Aok, pa ingan nufon.”
Peter answered her, "Tell me whether you sold the land for so much." She said, "Yes, for so much."
9 Na Peter el fahk nu sel, “Efu ku kom ac mukul tomom ah tuh sulela in srike Ngun lun God? Mwet ma pikinya mukul tomom ah pa tu ke mutunoa an, ac elos ac uskomla pac!”
But Peter asked her, "How is it that you have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out."
10 In pacl sacna el putatla ke nial Peter ac misa. Mukul fusr elos utyak ac liye lah el misa, na elos usalla ac piknilya sisken mukul tumal ah.
She fell down immediately at his feet, and died. The young men came in and found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her by her husband.
11 Mwet nukewa lun church, wi mwet nukewa saya ma lohng ke ma inge, elos arulana sangengla.
Great fear came on the whole church, and on all who heard these things.
12 Mwet sap uh elos oru mwenmen ac ouiya usrnguk puspis inmasrlon mwet uh. Ac mwet lulalfongi nukewa elos kwacna tukeni ke Sawalsrisr lal Solomon.
By the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. They were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
13 Wangin mwet sayen u sac pulaik in utyak nu inmasrlolos, mwet uh finne kaskas wona kaclos.
None of the rest dared to join them, however the people honored them.
14 Tusruktu srakna oasr mwet sifilpa weang u sac — mukul ac mutan puspis su lulalfongi in Leum.
More believers were added to the Lord, crowds of both men and women.
15 Ke sripen orekma ku lun mwet sap uh, mwet mas uh utuki nu sisken inkanek uh ac fili in mwe oan kialos, tuh pacl Peter el fahsryak we, ngunal in ku in luliya kutu selos.
They even carried out the sick into the streets, and put them on cots and mats, so that as Peter came by at the least his shadow would fall on some of them.
16 Mwet puspis tuku liki siti srisrik ma oan apkuran nu Jerusalem, ac use mwet mas lalos wi pac mwet ma oasr ngun fohkfok yoro; ac elos nukewa akkeyeyukla.
Crowds also came together from the cities around Jerusalem, bringing sick people, and those who were tormented by unclean spirits: and they were all healed.
17 Na Mwet Tol Fulat ac mwet lal kewa su oasr ke u lun mwet Sadducee, elos arulana sokyak sin mwet sap uh, ouinge elos wotela selos in lainulos.
But the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy,
18 Elos sruokya mwet sap uh, ac siselosyang nu in presin.
and laid hands on the apostles, and put them in public custody.
19 Tusruktu in fong sac, lipufan se lun Leum God ikasla presin uh, ac kolla mwet sap uh liki nien kapir uh, ac fahk nu selos,
But an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors by night, and brought them out, and said,
"Go stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life."
21 Mwet sap elos akos ma el fahk, ac toang na ke lotu tok ah, elos utyak nu in Tempul ac mutawauk in luti. Mwet Tol Fulat ac mwet lal uh elos pangoneni un mwet matu lun mwet Jew nu ke sie meeting lulap lun Un Mwet Pwapa Fulat. Na elos sapla nu in presin in tuh utuku mwet sap uh nu ye mutalos.
When they heard this, they entered into the temple about daybreak, and taught. But the high priest came, and those who were with him, and called the council together, and all the elders of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
22 Tusruktu, pacl se mwet ma supweyuk inge elos sun presin ah, elos tiana liyauk mwet sap we, ouinge elos folokla ac fahkang nu sin Un Mwet Pwapa Fulat,
But the officers who came did not find them in the prison. They returned and reported,
23 “Ke kut som nu in nien kapir ah, kut liye mutunoa nukewa lak, ac mwet topang nukewa elos tu ke mutunoa uh; tusruktu, ke kut ikasla utyak, kut liye tuh wangin mwet we!”
"We found the prison shut and locked, and the guards standing before the doors, but when we opened them, we found no one inside."
24 Ke sifen un mwet topangi Tempul uh ac mwet tol fulat elos lohng ma inge, elos sukna lah mea se sikyak nu sin mwet sap ah.
Now when the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these words, they were very perplexed about them and what might become of this.
Mwet ma kowos filiya in presin ah pa tu in Tempul ac luti mwet uh!”
One came and told them, "Look, the men whom you put in prison are in the temple, standing and teaching the people."
26 Na sifen mwet topangi Tempul el us mwet lal ah som, ac use mwet sap ah. Tusruk elos tia orek keke nu sin mwet sap ah, mweyen elos sensen mwet uh ac tanglalos.
Then the captain went with the officers, and brought them without violence, for they were afraid that the people might stone them.
27 Elos use mwet sap uh, ac tulokunulosi ye mutun Un Mwet Pwapa Fulat uh, ac Mwet Tol Fulat el kusen siyuk nu selos.
When they had brought them, they set them before the council. The high priest questioned them,
28 El fahk, “Kut fahkot na kalem nu sumtal komtal in tia sifil luti ke inen mwet sacn, a liye ma komtal oru inge! Komtal oru mwe luti lomtal ingan fahsrelik in acn Jerusalem nufon! Ac komtal sis mwatan misa lal nu facsr!”
saying, "Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this man's blood on us."
29 Peter ac mwet sap wial uh fahk, “Kut enenu in akos God, ac tia mwet uh.
But Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than people.
30 God lun mwet matu lasr somla uh pa akmoulyalak Jesus liki misa, tukun kowos unilya ke kowos srupsrulak fin sakseng.
The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed, hanging him on a tree.
31 God El akmoulyalak nu lac po layot sel, oana sie Mwet Kol ac Mwet Lango, in sang pacl lun mwet Israel in auliyak, ac tuh ma koluk lalos fah nunak munas nu selos.
God exalted him with his right hand to be a Leader and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
32 Kut mwet loh nu ke ma inge — kut ac Ngun Mutal, su mwe kite lun God nu selos su aksol.”
We are witnesses of these things; and so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."
33 Ke Un Mwet Pwapa Fulat elos lohng ma inge, elos arulana foloyak, ac kena uniya mwet sap inge.
But they, when they heard this, were furious, and wanted to kill them.
El sap in utuklawin mwet sap uh lukelos ke kitin pacl,
But one stood up in the council, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law, honored by all the people, and commanded to put the men out for a little while.
He said to them, "You men of Israel, be careful concerning these men, what you are about to do.
36 Kowos esam lah ke kutu pacl somla Theudas el sikyak, ac sifacna fahk mu el mwet fulat se, na apkuran in mwet angfoko tuh welulla. Tusruk el tuh anwuki, ac mwet ma welul ah fahsrelik, na u sac wanginla.
For before these days Todah rose up, making himself out to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were dispersed, and came to nothing.
37 Tukun ma sac, Judas mwet Galilee el tuh sikyak ke pacl in oaoala mwet uh.
After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the enrollment, and drew away some people after him. He also perished, and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered abroad.
Now I tell you, withdraw from these men, and leave them alone. For if this counsel or this work is of human origin, it will be overthrown.
39 A fin ma sin God me, kowos koflana kutangulosla.
But if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them, and you would be found even to be fighting against God."
40 Elos pangonak mwet sap uh, ac sap in sringsring elos, tari elos fahkang eltal in tia sifil luti ke inen Jesus; na elos ikasulosla.
They agreed with him. Summoning the apostles, they beat them and commanded them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
41 Ke mwet sap uh som liki Un Mwet Pwapa Fulat sac, eltal insewowo lah God El oru mu eltal fal in wi keok ke inen Jesus.
They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the Name.
42 Na len nukewa in Tempul, ku in lohm sin mwet uh, elos sikalani in luti ac fahkak ke Pweng Wo ke Jesus su Christ.
Every day, in the temple and at home, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming that Jesus is the Christ.
