1 Tokosra Agrippa el fahk nu sel Paul, “Inge kom ku in sifacna kaskas keim.” Paul el asroela paol ac mutawauk in fahkak kas in aksuwos lal ouinge:
Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
2 “Tokosra Agrippa! Nga arulana srui lah nga ku in sifacna loangeyu ye motom misenge liki kain kas nukewa ma mwet Jew uh elos akkolukyeyu kac —
I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:
3 yokna mweyen kom arulana etu ouiyen moul lun mwet Jew, ac sramsram in alein lalos. Ke ma inge nga siyuk kom in mongfisrasr in porongeyu.
Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
4 “Mwet Jew nukewa arulana etu ouiyen moul luk oe ke nga fusr me. Elos etu ma nga oru in facl sik ah meet, ac tok in Jerusalem.
My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
5 Na elos funu engan in orek loh keik, elos lukun fahkak lah oemeet me nga sie sin mwet Pharisee — u se ma suwoswos emeet in akfalye ma sap ke alu lasr uh.
Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
6 Ac inge nga tu inse inge in nununkeyuk ke sripen finsrak se ma oasr sik ke wulela lun God nu sin mwet matu lasr somla —
And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers:
7 nuna finsrak se na ma sruf singoul luo lun mwet lasr uh finsrak nu kac ke elos alu nu sin God ke len ac fong. O Tokosra, finsrak se inge pa oru mwet Jew elos tukakinyuyak uh!
Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
8 Efu ku kowos su oasr inse inge kofla lulalfongi lah God El akmoulyauk mwet misa uh?
Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?
9 “Nga sifacna, nga tuh nunku mu nga ac oru kuiyuk nufon in lain Jesus lun Nazareth.
I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
10 Pa inge ma nga tuh oru in acn Jerusalem. Nga tuh eis ku luk sin mwet tol fulat, ac kaliya mwet lun God puspis in presin; ac ke pacl wotla mu ac anwuki elos, nga wi pac akkeye.
Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.
11 Pacl puspis nga sap akkeokyeyuk elos in iwen lolngok uh, ac nga srike in oru elos in lafwekin lulalfongi lalos. Nga tuh arulana kasrkusrak selos, oru nga som pac nwe in siti ke mutunfacl saya in kaprelosi.
And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.
12 “Sripa se pacna inge pa nga tuh som nu Damascus kac, wi sap ku ac lela sin mwet tol fulat.
Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
13 O Tokosra, nga tuh fahsr inkanek uh ke infulwen len, ke nga liye sie kalem — saromrom liki faht uh — sarmelik lucng me ac sreyuwi ac oayapa mwet ma wiyu ah.
At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
14 Kut nukewa putati nu infohk uh, ac nga lohng sie pusra fahk nu sik in kas Hebrew, ‘Saul, Saul! Efu ku kom kalyeiyu? Ke kom lainyu kom sifacna oru kom ngalyak, oana soko kosro ox ma futungya sak kosroh inpoun mwet kifasul uh.’
And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
15 Na nga siyuk, ‘Leum, su kom an?’ Ac Leum el fahk, ‘Nga pa Jesus, su kom kalyei.
And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
16 Tuyak. Nga sikme nu sum in srisrngikomi tuh kom in mwet kulansap luk. Kom ac fah fahkak nu sin mwet uh ma kom liye misenge, ac ma su nga ac fah akkalemye nu sum tok.
But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
17 Nga fah molikomla liki inpoun mwet Israel, ac liki inpoun mwet sayen mwet Jew su nga ac supwekomla nu yorolos.
Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
18 Kom ac fah ikasla mutalos ac furokolosla liki lohsr nu ke kalem, ac liki ku lal Satan nu sin God, tuh ke lulalfongi lalos in nga ma koluk lalos uh fah nunak munas nu selos, ac elos fah eis acn selos inmasrlon mwet sulosolla lun God.’
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
19 “Ke ma inge, Tokosra Agrippa, nga tiana seakos aruruma se ma sikyak nu sik inkusrao me ah.
Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
20 Nga fahkak nu sin mwet in Damascus meet, ac in Jerusalem, na in facl Judea nufon, oayapa inmasrlon mwet sayen mwet Jew, tuh elos in auliyak liki ma koluk lalos ac forla nu sin God, ac oru ma su ac akpwayei lah elos auliyak.
But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judæa, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
21 Sripa se inge oru mwet Jew elos sruokyuwi ke nga muta in Tempul ah, ac elos srike in uniyuwi.
For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
22 Tusruktu God El kasreyu na nwe misenge, ouinge nga tu inse inge ac orek loh keik sifacna nu sin mwet nukewa, mwet fulat ac mwet pusisel oana sie. Ma nga fahk uh oapana ma mwet palu ac Moses tuh fahk mu ac sikyak:
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
23 lah Christ el ac keok, ac el pa mwet se oemeet ma ac moulyak liki misa, in fahkak ke kalem lun molela nu sin mwet Jew, oayapa mwet sayen mwet Jew.”
That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
24 Ke Paul el fahk ma inge in sifacna loangel, Festus el woilya ac fahk, “Paul, kom wel! Lupan lutlut lom an oru kom wella!”
And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.
25 Ac Paul el fahk, “O Festus Fulatlana, nga tia wel! Ma na pwaye pa nga fahk uh.
But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.
26 Tokosra Agrippa! Nga arulana pulaik in kaskas nu sum, mweyen yohk etu lom ke ma inge. Nga lulalfongi mu kom akilen ma inge nukewa, mweyen tia lukmaiyuk insruwasrik uh.
For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.
27 Tokosra Agrippa, ku kom lulalfongi kas lun mwet palu ah? Nga etu lah kom lulalfongi!”
King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
28 Na Agrippa el fahk nu sel Paul, “Mea, kom nunku in furokyula nu ke moul in Christian ke kitin pacl na?”
Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
29 Na Paul el fahk, “Finne kitin pacl na, ku pacl loes se, nga pre nu sin God lah kom, ac mwet nukewa ingan su lohng ma nga fahk uh, in ekla oana nga — sayen mwe kapir keik inge!”
And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
30 Na Tokosra Agrippa, Governor Festus ac Bernice ac mwet nukewa saya elos tuyak,
And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:
31 ac ke elos illa, elos fahk nu sin sie sin sie, “Wanginna ma mwet se inge orala su fal elan misa kac, ku elan kapir kac in presin.”
And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
32 Na Agrippa el fahk nu sel Festus, “Funu mwet se inge tia ngisre in nununkeyuk sel Tokosra Fulat Rome, lukun el taltalla.”
Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Cæsar.
