< Luo Samuel 3 >

1 Arulana paht mweun se inmasrlon mwet mweun kasreyen sou lal Saul ac mwet mweun kasreyal David. In pacl se inge ku lal David yokyokelik, a ku lun mwet lainul sriksrikeni.
Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.
2 Wen onkosr natul David inge takla ke matwalos, elos isusla in acn Hebron: Amnon — nina kial pa Ahinoam, mutan Jezreel;
And unto David were sons born in Hebron: and his firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess;
3 Chileab — nina kial pa Abigail, mutan Carmel katinmas kial Nabal; Absalom — nina kial pa Maacah, acn natul Talmai, tokosra lun Geshur;
And his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;
4 Adonijah — nina kial pa Haggith; Shephatiah — nina kial pa Abital;
And the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith; and the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital;
5 Ithream — nina kial pa Eglah. Wen natul inge kewa isusla in acn Hebron.
And the sixth, Ithream, by Eglah David's wife. These were born to David in Hebron.
6 Ke mweun uh srakna orek inmasrlon mwet mweun lal David ac mwet mweun kasreyen sou lal Saul, Abner el kui na kui inmasrlon mwet mweun lal Saul.
And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul.
7 Sie len ah, Ishbosheth wen natul Saul, el akkolukyal Abner fahk mu el motul yorol Rizpah, mutan kulansap kial Saul, su acn natul Aiah.
And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ishbosheth said to Abner, Wherefore have you gone in unto my father's concubine?
8 Ma se inge oru Abner el kasrkusrak ac fahk, “Ku kom nunku mu nga ku in oru koluk nu sel Saul? Mea pwaye lah kom pangon mu nga kulansupu mwet Judah? Oemeet me nga nuna pwayena nu sel Saul, papa tomom, oayapa mwet wial ac kawuk lal, ac nga pa pwanang kom tia kutangyukla sel David. A misenge kom akkolukyeyu ke sripen mutan se?
Then was Abner very angry for the words of Ishbosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head, which against Judah do show kindness this day unto the house of Saul your father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David, that you charge me to day with a fault concerning this woman?
9 Lela God Elan sringilyuwi ngan misa, nga fin tia akpwayeye ma nga fahk inge: nga fah oru oana wulela lun LEUM GOD nu sel David,
So do God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD has sworn to David, even so I do to him;
10 in eisla tokosrai lukel Saul ac fita lal, ac sang nu sel David tuh elan tokosra fin acn Israel ac Judah, mutawauk e Dan nu epang fahla nwe Beersheba nu eir!”
To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.
11 Ishbosheth el arulana sangeng sel Abner, oru el tia ku in fahkla sie kas.
And he could not answer Abner a word again, because he feared him.
12 Abner el supwala mwet utuk kas nu yorol David, su muta Hebron in pacl sac, tuh elos in siyuk, “Su ac leumi facl se inge uh? Kom fin orala sie wulela nu sik, na nga ac fah kasrekom eisla acn Israel nufon lom.”
And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make your league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with you, to bring about all Israel unto you.
13 David el fahk, “Wona. Nga ac orala sie wulela nu sum kom fin orala ma se inge: usalu Michal, acn natul Saul, ke kom ac tuku.”
And he said, Well; I will make a league with you: but one thing I require of you, that is, You shall not see my face, except you first bring Michal Saul's daughter, when you come to see my face.
14 Ac David el oayapa supwala mwet utuk kas nu yorol Ishbosheth ac fahk, “Folokunulma Michal, mutan kiuk. Nga molella tari ke siofok kulun ma mukul lun mwet Philistia, tuh elan mutan kiuk.”
And David sent messengers to Ishbosheth Saul's son, saying, Deliver me my wife Michal, which I espoused to me for an hundred foreskins of the Philistines.
15 Na Ishbosheth el sap utuku mutan sac lukel Paltiel, mukul tumal, wen natul Laish.
And Ishbosheth sent, and took her from her husband, even from Phaltiel the son of Laish.
16 Paltiel el fahsr na tung tokol nwe ke siti srisrik Bahurim. Tusruktu ke Abner el sap elan folokla, na Paltiel el folokla.
And her husband went with her along weeping behind her to Bahurim. Then said Abner unto him, Go, return. And he returned.
17 Abner el som nu yurin mwet kol lun Israel ac fahk nu selos, “Kowos tuh kena David elan tokosra lowos ke pacl na loes.
And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, All of you sought for David in times past to be king over you:
18 Inge pacl wo lowos. Esam lah LEUM GOD El tuh fahk, ‘Nga ac orekmakunul David, mwet kulansap luk, tuh elan molela mwet luk Israel liki mwet Philistia ac liki mwet lokoalok lalos saya nukewa.’”
Now then do it: for the LORD has spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.
19 Abner el kaskas pac nu sin mwet in sruf lal Benjamin, na el som nu Hebron in fahkang nu sel David ma mwet in sruf lal Benjamin ac mwet Israel insesela in oru.
And Abner also spoke in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel, and that seemed good to the whole house of Benjamin.
20 Ke Abner el tuku nu yorol David in acn Hebron wi mwet longoul, David el orala kufwa se nu selos.
So Abner came to David to Hebron, and twenty men with him. And David made Abner and the men that were with him a feast.
21 Abner el fahk nu sel David, “Leuwa, inge nga ac som ac eisani mwet Israel nukewa in mwet lom. Elos ac fah eis kom in tokosra lalos, na kom ac fah leum fin mutunfacl sac nufon, fal nu ke lungse lom.” David el wulela na ku nu sel Abner lah el ac muta in misla, na el supwalla inkanek lal.
And Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that they may make a league with you, and that you may reign over all that your heart desires. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.
22 Tok, Joab ac mwet pwapa saya lal David elos folokla liki mweun, ac elos us ma wap pukanten welulos. Tusruktu Abner el tila muta Hebron yorol David, mweyen David el supwalla wi sie wulela ke misla.
And, behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them: but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace.
23 Ke Joab ac mwet lal ah sun acn we, fwackyang nu sel lah Abner el tuku nu yorol Tokosra David, ac supweyukla el tari, wi wulela ke misla.
When Joab and all the host that was with him were come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he has sent him away, and he is gone in peace.
24 Ouinge Joab el som nu yurin tokosra ac siyuk sel, “Mea se kom orala uh? Abner el tuku nu yurum, ac efu ku kom fuhlella elan som?
Then Joab came to the king, and said, What have you done? behold, Abner came unto you; why is it that you have sent him away, and he is quite gone?
25 Nga lulalfongi lah kom etu na lah el tuku in na kiapwekom, ac in etu ke ma nukewa kom oru uh ac yen nukewa kom fahsr nu we!”
You know Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive you, and to know your going out and your coming in, and to know all that you do.
26 Tukun Joab el som lukel David, el supwala mwet in tuh usalu Abner, ac elos folokunulma liki luf in Kof Sirah. Tusruktu David el tia etu kac.
And when Joab was come out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, which brought him again from the well of Sirah: but David knew it not.
27 Ke Abner el sun acn Hebron, Joab el kololla nu sisken mutunpot lun siti sac oana elan ke sramsram lukma nu sel. Na Joab el fakisya insial Abner. Ouinge akmuseyuki Abner mweyen el tuh unilya Asahel, tamulel lal Joab.
And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and stroke him there under the fifth rib, that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.
28 Ke David el lohngak pweng sac, el fahk, “LEUM GOD El etu lah wangin mwetik ac mwet luk ke misa lal Abner.
And afterward when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner:
29 Lela tuh folokinyen ma koluk se inge in oan facl Joab ac sou lal nufon. Lela in oasr mukul se in fwil nukewa in sou lal weak mas koluk, ku musen leper, ku elahn mutan, ku misa ke mweun, ku sufal mongo nal.”
Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father's house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that has an issue, or that is a leper, or that leans on a staff, or that falls on the sword, or that lacks bread.
30 Ouinge Joab ac Abishai tamulel lal, eltal foloksak ac unilya Abner ke sripen el tuh unilya Asahel tamulel se laltal, ke mweun in acn Gibeon.
So Joab, and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.
31 Na David el sap Joab ac mwet lal ah in salik nuknuk lalos, ac nokomang nuknuk yohk eoa in akkalemye asor lalos kacl Abner. Ke pacl in pukmas, Tokosra David sifacna el fahsr tukun box in mas sac.
And David said to Joab, and to all the people that were with him, Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And king David himself followed the bier.
32 Abner el pukpuki Hebron, ac tokosra el tung ke pusra lulap ke kulyuk ah, ac mwet nukewa wi pac tung.
And they buried Abner in Hebron: and the king lifted up his voice, and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept.
33 David el onkin on in eoksra soko inge kacl Abner: “Efu ku Abner elan misa oana mwet lalfon se?
And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died Abner as a fool dies?
34 Paol tia kapiri, Ac nial tiana losyukeni. El misa oana misa lun sie mwet anwuki sin mwet koluk!” Na mwet uh sifilpa tung kacl.
Your hands were not bound, nor your feet put into fetters: as a man falls before wicked men, so fell you. And all the people wept again over him.
35 In len sac nufon, mwet uh srike in oru David elan kangla kutu mongo, tuh el na orala sie wulela na ku mu, “Lela Leum God Elan sringilyuwi ngan misa nga fin kangla kutena ma meet liki fongeni!”
And when all the people came to cause David to eat food while it was yet day, David swore, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down.
36 Ke mwet uh elos liye ma inge elos insewowo kac. Aok, ma nukewa tokosra el oru, mwet uh insewowo kac.
And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them: as whatsoever the king did pleased all the people.
37 Mwet lal David nukewa ac mwet Israel nukewa kalem kac lah wangin ip lal Tokosra David ke misa lal Abner.
For all the people and all Israel understood that day that it was not of the king to slay Abner the son of Ner.
38 Ac tokosra el fahk nu sin mwet pwapa lal, “Mea, kowos tia akilen lah sie mwet kol fulat lun Israel el misa misenge?
And the king said unto his servants, Know all of you not that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?
39 Nga finne tokosra su sulosolla sin Leum God, tuh nga pulakin munas misenge. Wen ekasr natul Zeruiah inge upala lokoalok lalos in nunak luk. Lela LEUM GOD Elan kalyaelos fal nu ke orekma koluk elos oru inge!”
And I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.
