< Luo Samuel 13 >

And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.
And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do anything to her.
But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother: and Jonadab was a very subtle man.
4 Jonadab el fahk nu sel Amnon, “Kom wen sruhk nutin tokosra, a len nukewa nga liye tuh kom ngetnget in asor. Mea se sis an?” Na Amnon el topuk, “Nga arulana lungse Tamar, tamtael lal Absalom, a nga Absalom papa sefanna, nina luo.”
And he said to him, Why are you, being the king’s son, lean from day to day? will you not tell me? And Amnon said to him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.
5 Jonadab el fahk nu sel, “Fahla ona ke bed kiom an, in mu kom mas. Ke papa tomom el tuku in liye kom, na kom fahk nu sel, ‘Nunak munas, sap Tamar tamtael luk, elan tuku kiteyu mongo. Nga lungse elan tuku orala ma nak uh yen nga ac ku in liyal we uh, ac elan sifacna kiteyuwi pac.’”
And Jonadab said to him, Lay you down on your bed, and make yourself sick: and when your father comes to see you, say to him, I pray you, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.
6 Na Amnon el oru mu el mas, ac el som ona ke bed kial ah. Tokosra David el som in liyal, ac Amnon el fahk nu sel, “Nunak munas, supwalma Tamar elan tuku orala ekasr cake ah nak inge yen nga ac ku in liyal we, ac elan sifacna kiteyuwi.”
So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said to the king, I pray you, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.
7 Ouinge David el supwala kas inge nu yorol Tamar, su muta in lohm sin tokosra, “Fahla nu lohm sel Amnon ac orala kutu mongo nal.”
Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to your brother Amnon’s house, and dress him meat.
8 El som nu we, tuh na Amnon el oan ke bed kial ah. Na Tamar el eis kutu flao takmwek ac sang orauk kutu cake yen Amnon el ku in liyal we. El munanla cake ah,
So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.
9 ac eisla liki pan ah, sang elan mongo, tuh el srangesr. Amnon el fahk, “Sap mwet nukewa in illa.” Ac elos nukewa som.
And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.
And Amnon said to Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of your hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.
11 Ac ke el sang nu sel, Amnon el sruokilya ac fahk, “Fahsru wiyu oan.”
And when she had brought them to him to eat, he took hold of her, and said to her, Come lie with me, my sister.
12 Na Tamar el fahk, “Mo! Nimet akkohsyeyu in oru kain ouiya fohkfok sacn! Arulana koluk!
And she answered him, No, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing should to be done in Israel: do not you this folly.
13 Ku nga ac ngetnget fuka nga fin forfor ye mutun mwet uh? Ac kom, kom ac fah arulana oakasla in facl Israel. Nunak munas, kaskas nu sel tokosra. Nga lulalfongi mu el ku in eisyuwot nu sum.”
And I, where shall I cause my shame to go? and as for you, you shall be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray you, speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.
14 A Amnon el tia lohng ma el fahk, na mweyen el ku lukel, el sruinkuilya ac oan yorol.
However, he would not listen to her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.
15 Na Amnon el srungalla na upa. Srunga lal kacl uh alukela lungse lal kacl meet ah, ac el fahk nu sel, “Tiok!”
Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. And Amnon said to her, Arise, be gone.
And she said to him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that you did to me. But he would not listen to her.
Tolulla nu likinum uh ac lakiya srungul an!”
Then he called his servant that ministered to him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.
18 Mwet kulansap sac sisella ac lakiya srungul sac.
And she had a garment of divers colors on her: for with such robes were the king’s daughters that were virgins appareled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.
19 El sang apat nu fin sifal, ac seseya nuknuk loeloes lal, ac afinya mutal ke paol, ac fahsr na tung som.
And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colors that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.
20 Ke Absalom tamulel lal, el liyalak el siyuk, “Ya Amnon el akkolukye kom? Nunak munas, ma louk, nimet sang in arulana aktoasrye kom. El ma pac wiom, na pa kom in tia fahk nu sin kutena mwet kac.” Ouinge Tamar el muta in lohm sel Absalom, ac el asor ac mukaimtal.
And Absalom her brother said to her, Has Amnon your brother been with you? but hold now your peace, my sister: he is your brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.
21 Ke Tokosra David el lohng ke ma sikyak inge, el foloyak.
But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth.
22 Ac Absalom el arulana srungalla Amnon ke sripen el orekma koluk nu sel Tamar ma loul, na el tiana sifil kas nu sel.
And Absalom spoke to his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.
23 Yac luo toko ah, Absalom el sang sheep natul ah in kalkul in acn Baal Hazor, apkuran nu ke siti Ephraim. Na el suli mukul nukewa nutin tokosra tuh elos in som nu we.
And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheep shearers in Baalhazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.
24 El som nu yorol Tokosra David ac fahk, “O leum luk, nga sang sheep nutik uh in kalkulla, na nga siyuk lah kom, ac mwet pwapa lom an ku in tuku nu ke pacl in kufwa ah?”
And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, your servant has sheep shearers; let the king, I beseech you, and his servants go with your servant.
25 Na tokosra el topuk, “Mo, wen nutik. Ac fah yokla elya lom kacsr kut nukewa fin fahsrot.” Absalom el kwafe na, tuh tokosra el tiana wi ma el siyuk ah, ac el sap Absalom elan som.
And the king said to Absalom, No, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable to you. And he pressed him: however, he would not go, but blessed him.
26 Na Absalom el fahk, “Kwal, fin upa, kom ku in nunak munas fuhlella Amnon tamulel luk, elan tuku?” Ac tokosra el siyuk, “Efu ku elan wi?”
Then said Absalom, If not, I pray you, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said to him, Why should he go with you?
But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king’s sons go with him.
Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark you now when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine, and when I say to you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.
29 Ouinge mwet kulansap lal Absalom elos oru oana ma el sapkin, ac unilya Amnon. Wen nukewa natul David saya elos sroang nu fin kosro natulos, ac kaingla.
And the servants of Absalom did to Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king’s sons arose, and every man got him up on his mule, and fled.
30 Ke elos srakna fahsr inkanek lalos in folok nu yen selos ah, fwackyang nu sel David mu, “Absalom el uniya nufon wen nutum ah. Tia sie selos lula!”
And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom has slain all the king’s sons, and there is not one of them left.
31 Tokosra el tuyak ac seya nuknuk lal ke el arulana asor, ac el putati nu infohk uh. Mwet kulansap lal ma welul in pacl sac elos seya pac nuknuk lalos.
Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.
And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king’s sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.
Amnon mukena anwuki.”
Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king’s sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.
But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.
35 Jonadab el fahk nu sel David, “Wen nutum an pa tuku ingan, oana ke nga fahk ah.”
And Jonadab said to the king, Behold, the king’s sons come: as your servant said, so it is.
36 Ke el tufahna safla in fahk ma inge, na wen natul David ah utyak, ac elos mutawauk in tung, ac David ac mwet pwapa lal ah wi pac tung na upa.
And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king’s sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.
37 Na Absalom el kaingla ac som nu yurin Tokosra Talmai, wen natul Ammihud, lun acn Geshur. David el tung kacl Amnon, wen natul, pacl na loeloes.
But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.
38 Absalom el muta in acn Geshur ke yac tolu.
So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.
39 Na ke David el tila asor ke misa lal Amnon, el arulana ke liyalak Absalom, wen natul.
And the soul of king David longed to go forth to Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
