Simeon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who obtained an equally precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:
2 Lela in arulana yohk lungkulang ac misla in kowos ke sripen etu lowos ke God ac ke Jesus, Leum lasr.
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the acknowledgment of God and of Jesus our Lord!
3 Ku lun God ase tari nu sesr ma nukewa su kut enenu tuh kut in moul fal nu ke ma lungse lun God. Ku in ouinge ke sripen etu lasr ke El su pangon kut in ipeis ke fulatlana ac wolana lal.
As His divine power has given to us all things pertaining to life and piety, through the acknowledgment of Him who called us through glory and virtue,
4 In ouiya se inge El ase nu sesr mwe sang yohk ac saoklana su El wulela kac, tuh ke sripen mwe sang inge kowos fah ku in kaingla liki lung koluk su kunausla moul lun mwet fin faclu, ac kowos in ku wi ipeis ke moul mutal su ma lun God sifacna.
through which the most great and precious promises have been given to us, that through these you may become partakers of a divine nature, having escaped from the corruption [and] lust in the world.
5 Ke sripa se inge, kowos in insianaung in akyokye lulalfongi lowos ke orekma wo; ac akyokye orekma wo lowos ke etauk ke God,
And [for] this same [reason] also, having brought in all diligence, supplement your faith with virtue, and with virtue—knowledge,
6 ac akyokye etauk lowos ke sifacna leum fowos, ac sang muteng in weang sifacna leum fac, na sang moul mutal nu ke muteng lowos;
and with knowledge—self-control, and with self-control—endurance, and with endurance—piety,
7 ac kowos in akyokye moul mutal lowos ke kowos alungsei sie sin sie; ac akyokye alungsei sie sin sie ke lungse nu sin mwet nukewa.
and with piety—brotherly kindness, and with brotherly kindness—love;
8 Kowos enenu tuh ouiya inge nukewa in yokyokelik in kowos, na ac fah yohk sripowos ac orekmakinyuk kowos ke sripen etauk lowos ke Leum lasr Jesus Christ.
for these things being in you and abounding, make [you] neither inert nor unfruitful in regard to the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ,
9 A ouiya inge fin wangin yurin sie mwet, el oana mwet se ma supal ngetnget lal, pwanang el mulkunla lah el aknasnasyeyukla tari liki ma koluk lal meet ah.
for he with whom these things are not present is blind, dim-sighted, having become forgetful of the cleansing of his old sins;
10 Ke ma inge, mwet lulalfongi wiuk, sifilpa liksreni srike in oru tuh sulela ac pang kawil lun God nu suwos in ku in kalem ke moul lowos. Kowos fin oru ouinge, kowos ac fah tiana fuhleak lulalfongi lowos.
therefore, rather, brothers, be diligent to make steadfast your calling and [divine] selection, for doing these things you may never stumble;
11 In ouiya se inge, ac fah itukot nu suwos ku suwoswos in ilyak nu in Tokosrai kawil lun Leum ac Mwet Lango lasr Jesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)
in this way the entrance into the continuous kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplemented to you. (aiōnios g166)
12 Na nga fah akesmakye kowos pacl nukewa ke ma inge, kowos finne etu tari kac, ac arulana okak ke mwe luti pwaye ma kowos eis tari.
Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you about these things, although you have known [them] and have been established in the present truth,
13 Nga nunku mu fal na nu sik in akesmakinye kowos ke ma inge ke lusen na moul luk.
and I think right, so long as I am in this tent, to stir you up in reminding [you],
14 Nga etu lah ac tia paht na nga ac misa, oana ke Leum Jesus Christ el fahkma kalem nu sik.
having known that the laying aside of my tent is soon, even as our Lord Jesus Christ also showed to me.
15 Ouinge, nga fah sang kuiyuk in oru sie ma in akesmakye kowos, tuh tukun nga misa kowos in ku in esam ma inge pacl nukewa.
And I will also be diligent [to ensure] that you always have a remembrance to make of these things after my departure.
16 Kut tiana orekmakin sramsram lusrongten ma mwet uh kinauk ke kut fahkak nu suwos ke tuku lun Leum lasr Jesus Christ. Kut sifacna liye ke mutasr lupan wolana lal.
For having not followed out skillfully devised fables, we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but having become eyewitnesses of His majesty—
17 Kut wi liye ke itukyang sunak ac wolana nu sel sin God Papa, ke pusra se tuku nu sel liki El Su Fulatlana ac fahk, “El inge Wen kulo nutik, su nga insewowo kac!”
for having received honor and glory from God the Father, such a voice being borne to Him by the Excellent Glory: “This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I delighted”;
18 Kut sifacna lohng pusra se inge ke tuku inkusrao me, ke kut welul tu fineol mutal.
and we heard this voice borne out of Heaven, being with Him at the holy mountain.
19 Inge arulana kui lulalfongi lasr ke kas se su sulkakinyuk sin mwet palu. Ac fah wo kowos fin lohang nu kac, mweyen ma inge oana sie lam su kalmelik acn lohsr uh, nu ke Kusrun Len uh sikyak ac Nasren in Lotutang sreya insiowos.
And we have a more firm prophetic word, to which we do well giving heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until day may dawn, and [the] morning star may arise in your hearts;
20 Tusruktu, ma se ma yohk sripa emeet uh, kowos in esam lah wangin sie ku in sifacna aketeya sie kas in palu in Ma Simusla.
knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Writing comes of private exposition,
21 Tuh wangin kas in palu fwackyak ke na lungse lun mwet, a mwet su kolyuk ke ku lun Ngun Mutal elos fahkak kas su tuku sin God me.
for prophecy never came by [the] will of man, but men spoke from God, being brought by the Holy Spirit.
