< Sie Samuel 28 >

1 In kutu pacl tok, mwet Philistia elos toeni in mweun lain mwet Israel, ac Tokosra Achish el fahk nu sel David, “Kom kalem kac lah kom ac mwet lom ingan ac fah wiyu lac ke mweun luk?”
And it came to pass, in those days, when the Philistines gathered together their hosts for war, to fight with Israel, that Achish said unto David, Thou must, know, that, with me, shalt thou go forth in the host, thou and thy men.
And David said unto Achish, Therefore, now, shalt thou know what thy servant can do. And Achish said unto David, Therefore, keeper of my head, will I appoint thee, all the days.
3 In pacl se inge Samuel el misa tari, ac mwet Israel nukewa elos arulana asor kacl, ac elos piknilya in acn sel in Ramah. Saul el lusak mwet inutnut ac mwet susfa nukewa liki acn Israel.
Now, Samuel, was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city, —Saul, moreover had put away them who had familiar spirits and them who were oracles, out of the land.
4 Mwet mweun Philistia elos toeni ac tulokinya nien aktuktuk lalos apkuran nu siti se pangpang Shunem. Ac Saul el eisani mwet mweun lun Israel ac tulokinya nien aktuktuk lalos Fineol Gilboa.
So then the Philistines gathered themselves together, and came in, and encamped in Shunem, —and Saul gathered together all Israel, and they encamped in Gilboa.
5 Ke Saul el liye un mwet mweun lun mwet Philistia, el arulana sangeng,
And, when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled exceedingly.
6 ac el siyuk sin LEUM GOD lah mea el ac oru. Tuh LEUM GOD El tiana topkol, finne ke mweme, ku ke eot Urim ac Thummim, ku ke pusren mwet palu.
Then Saul enquired of Yahweh, but Yahweh answered him not, —neither by Dreams, nor by the Lights, nor by prophets.
7 Na Saul el sapkin nu sin mwet pwapa lal, “Sokak sie mutan inutnut, ac nga fah som nu yorol ac siyuk kasreyuk sel.” Na elos topuk ac fahk, “Oasr sie mwet inutnut in acn Endor.”
Then said Saul unto his servants—Seek me out a woman that owneth a familiar spirit, that I may even go unto her, and enquire of her. And his servants said unto him, Lo! there is a woman that owneth a familiar spirit in En-dor.
8 Na Saul el sifacna ekulla lumahl. El nokomang siena kain nuknuk, ac ke lohsrani tari, el us luo pac mukul in welul som nu yurin mutan inutnut sac. El fahk nu sin mutan sac, “Sramsram nu sin ngunin mwet misa keik, ac fahk nu sik lah mea ac sikyak. Pangonma ngunin mwet se su nga ac fahk inel nu sum.”
Saul therefore disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and departed—he and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night, —and he said—Divine for me, I pray thee, by the familiar spirit, and bring up for me—whomsoever I shall name unto thee.
9 Ac mutan sac topuk, “Nga mu kom arulana etu ma Tokosra Saul el oru ke el lusak mwet inutnut ac mwet susfa liki Israel. Na efu kom ku srifeyu, pwanang ac ku in anwuki nga?”
And the woman said unto him—Lo! thou, knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off them who have familiar spirits and him who is an oracle, out of the land, —wherefore, then, art thou striking at my life, to put me to death?
10 Na Saul el orala sie wulela na ku ac fahk, “Inen LEUM GOD moul, nga wulela nu sum lah kom ac fah tia kaiyuk ke kom ac oru ma se inge.”
So then Saul sware unto her by Yahweh, saying, —By the life of Yahweh, there shall no punishment befall thee for this thing.
11 Na mutan sac siyuk sel Saul, “Su kom lungse ngan pangonak nguna uh?” Ac Saul el fahk, “Samuel.”
Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up for thee? And he said, Samuel, bring thou up for me.
12 Ke mutan sac liyalak Samuel, el wowoyak ke pusra lulap ac fahk nu sel Saul, “Efu ku kom kiapweyula? Kom pa Tokosra Saul!”
And, when the woman saw Samuel, she made outcry with a loud voice, —and the woman spake unto Saul, saying—Wherefore hast thou deceived me, thou thyself being Saul?
13 Na tokosra el fahk nu sel, “Nikmet sangeng! Mea kom liye?” Ac mutan sac fahk, “Nga liye sie ngun utyak liki infohk uh.”
And the king said unto her—Be not afraid, but what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, A god, saw I, coming up out of the earth.
14 Ac Saul el siyuk, “Fuka luman ngun sacn?” Ac mutan sac fahk, “Mukul matu se pa utyak, ac el nukum sie nuknuk loeloes.” Na Saul el etu lah Samuel pa mwet sac, ac Saul el faksufi in akfulatyal.
And he said to her—What was his form? And she said—An old man, coming up, he being wrapped about with a robe. Then Saul knew, that it was, Samuel, so he inclined his face to the earth, and bowed himself down.
15 Na Samuel el fahk nu sel Saul, “Efu kom tukasru nu sik ac oru nga foloko?” Na Saul el topuk ac fahk, “Nga arulana fosrnga! Mwet Philistia elos mweuniyu, ac God El ngetla likiyu. El tia sifil topukyu, finne ke pusren mwet palu ku ke mweme. Na pa nga pangon kom tuh kom in fahk nu sik lah mea nga enenu in oru.”
And Samuel said unto Saul, Wherefore hast thou disquieted me, by bringing me up? And Saul said—I am in sore distress, for, the Philistines, are making war against me, and, God, hath turned away from me, and answereth me no more—either by means of the prophets, or by dreams, therefore have I even called for thee, to let me know, what I am to do.
16 Ac Samuel el fahk, “Efu ku kom pangonyu, ke LEUM GOD El ngetla liki kom ac ekla mwet lokoalok lom?
Then said Samuel, Wherefore, then, shouldst thou ask me, —when, Yahweh, hath turned away from thee, and hath come to be with thy neighbour?
17 LEUM GOD El oru nu sum oana ma El tuh sap ngan fahk nu sum ah. El eisla tokosrai uh liki kom, ac sang nu sel David.
Therefore hath Yahweh done for him, as he spake by me, —yea Yahweh hath rent the kingdom out of thy hand, and given it to a neighbour of thine—to David.
18 Kom tuh seakos ma God El sapkin nu sum ke El mu kom in kunausla mwet Amalek nukewa ac ma lalos nukewa. Pa inge sripa se sis LEUM GOD El oru ouinge nu sum.
As thou didst not hearken unto the voice of Yahweh, neither didst execute the glow of his anger upon Amalek, therefore, this thing, hath Yahweh done unto thee this day;
19 El ac fah eiskomyang ac mwet Israel nu inpoun mwet Philistia. Lutu, kom ac wen nutum ac fah wiyuyang, ac LEUM GOD El ac fah asang mwet mweun lun Israel nu inpoun mwet Philistia.”
that Yahweh may deliver, Israel also, with thee, into the hand of the Philistines, and, to-morrow, thou and thy sons with thee are about to fall, —the host of Israel also, will Yahweh deliver, into the hand of the Philistines.
20 In kitin pacl ah na, Saul el putati asrosrelik fin fohk uh, ke sripen el arulana sangeng ke ma Samuel el fahk ah. El munasla ke sripen el tiana mongo ke len fon sac ac fong fon sac.
Then Saul hastened, and fell prostrate—the whole length of him—to the earth, and was sore afraid, at the words of Samuel, and indeed, no, strength, was left in him, for he had not eaten food all the day and all the night.
21 Na mutan sac kalukyang nu yorol ac liye lah el arulana sangeng, ac el fahk nu sel Saul, “Leum luk, nga pilesrala moul luk ke nga oru ma kom siyuk ah.
And the woman came unto Saul, and, when she saw that he was greatly terrified, she said unto him—Lo! thy handmaid hearkened unto thy voice, and I put my life into my hand, and heard thy words which thou didst speak unto me.
22 Inge, nga siyuk kom in porongeyu. Lela nga in orala kutu mwe mongo nom. Kom enenu in mongo tuh in kui monum, na kom fah ku in som inkanek lom.”
Now, therefore, I pray thee, hearken, thou also, unto the voice of thy handmaid, and let me set before thee a morsel of food, and eat thou, —that there may be in thee strength, when thou goest on thy journey.
23 Saul el tia lungse. El fahk mu el ac tiana mongo. Mwet pwapa lal elos kwafel tuh elan eis kutu mwe mongo. Tok kutu, na el tari wi na ma elos fahk. El tukakek liki infohk uh ac muta fin bed se.
But he refused, and said—I will not eat. But, when his servants, and the woman also, strongly urged him, then hearkened he unto their voice, —and rose up from the earth, and sat on the bed.
24 Ac mutan sac sulaklak na uniya cow fusr soko ma el muta kite in fatelik, ac el use flao ac manman bread wangin mwe pulol kac.
Now, the woman, had a calf fattening, in the shed. So she hastened, and sacrificed it, —and took meal, and kneaded, and baked thereof, unleavened cakes;
25 Mutan sac takunla mwe mongo inge ye mutal Saul ac mwet pwapa lal, ac elos mongoi. Na elos som liki acn sac in fong sacna.
and brought near before Saul and before his servants, and they did eat. Then rose they up and departed, the same night.
