< Sie Samuel 10 >
1 Na Samuel el eis sufa in oil in olive ac ukuiya fin sifal Saul ac ngok mutal ac fahk, “LEUM GOD El mosrwekomla tuh kom fah leum fin mwet lal, mwet Israel. Kom fah leum faclos ac karinganulos liki mwet lokoalok lalos. Na pa inge mwe akpwayeye nu sum lah LEUM GOD pa sulekomla tuh kom in leum fin mwet lal:
And Samuel takes the vial of the oil, and pours [it] on his head, and kisses him, and says, “Is it not because YHWH has appointed you over His inheritance for leader?
2 Ke kom ac fahsr likiyu misenge, kom ac fah sun mukul luo sisken kulyuk lal Rachel in acn Zelzah in facl lun Benjamin. Eltal ac fah fahk nu sum lah koneyukyak tari donkey ma komtal suk an. Na papa tomom el tila nunku kac, a el nunku keim, ac el na siyuk na ac fahk, ‘Mea nga ac oru ke wen nutik uh?’
In your going from me today—then you have found two men by the grave of Rachel, in the border of Benjamin, at Zelzah, and they have said to you, The donkeys have been found which you have gone to seek; and behold, your father has left the matter of the donkeys, and has sorrowed for you, saying, What do I do for my son?
3 Ke kom ac som liki acn sac, kom ac fahsr nwe sun sak oal soko in acn Tabor, ac kom ac fah sun mukul tolu su fahsr in som nu Bethel in oru mwe kisa lalos nu sin God we. Sie selos el pwen nani fusr tolkwe, ac sie selos el us lof in bread tolkwe, ac mukul se aktolu an el us pak in wain se nwanala ke wain.
And you have passed on there, and beyond, and have come to the oak of Tabor, and three men going up to God to Beth-El have found you there, one carrying three kids, and one carrying three cakes of bread, and one carrying a bottle of wine,
4 Elos ac fah paing kom, ac asot lukwa lof an nu sum, na kom fah eis.
and they have asked of your welfare, and given two loaves to you, and you have received from their hand.
5 Na kom fah som nu ke Fineol lun God in acn Gibeah, yen mwet mweun lun mwet Philistia elos muta we. Ke nien utyak nu in siti uh kom ac fah sun u in mwet palu su oatui liki nien loang lalos fineol uh — elos srital ke harp, drum, flute, ac lyre. Elos ac onsrosro ac sasa.
Afterward you come to the hill of God, where the garrison of the Philistines [is], and it comes to pass, at your coming in there to the city, that you have met a band of prophets coming down from the high place, and before them stringed instrument, and tambourine, and pipe, and harp, and they are prophesying;
6 In kitin pacl ah, ngunin LEUM GOD ac tuku ke ku nu fom, ac kom ac fah welulos ke tacn in alyalu ac sasa lalos, ac kom ac fah ekla sie mwet sasu.
and the Spirit of YHWH has prospered over you, and you have prophesied with them, and have turned into a [new] man;
7 Ke pacl se ma inge sikyak nu sum uh, kutena ma God El akkalemye nu sum, kom in oru.
and it has been, when these signs come to you—do for yourself as your hand finds, for God [is] with you.
8 Kom fah som meet likiyu nu Gilgal. Nga ac fah sun kom we, ac kisakin mwe kisa firir ac mwe kisa in akinsewowo. Kom fah soaneyu we len itkosr, nu ke pacl nga tuku ac fahkak nu sum ma kom in oru.”
And you have gone down before me to Gilgal, and behold, I am going down to you, to cause burnt-offerings to ascend, to sacrifice sacrifices of peace-offerings; you wait [for] seven days until my coming to you, and I have made known to you that which you do.”
9 Ke Saul el forla in fahsr lukel Samuel, God El sang sie ouiyen moul sasu nu sel Saul. Ac ma nukewa ma Samuel el fahk nu sel ah, sikyak in len sac.
And it has been, at his turning his shoulder to go from Samuel, that God turns to him another heart, and all these signs come on that day,
10 Ke Saul ac mwet kulansap lal sun acn Gibeah, un mwet palu se tuku osun nu sel. In kitin pacl ah ngunin God tuku ke ku nu facl ac el wi mwet palu inge ke tacn ac sasa in alyalu lalos.
and they come in there to the height, and behold, a band of prophets [is there] to meet him, and the Spirit of God prospers over him, and he prophesies in their midst.
11 Ac ke mwet su etal Saul meet elos liye ma el oru inge, elos asiyuki sie sin sie, “Ku mea sikyak nu sin wen se natul Kish inge? Ya Saul el ekla sie mwet palu?”
And it comes to pass, all knowing him before, see, and behold, he has prophesied with prophets, and the people say to one another, “What [is] this [that] has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”
12 Ac sie mukul in acn sac el fahk, “Ac fuka mwet palu saya inge? Kowos nunku mu su papa tumalos an?” Na pa inge mutaweyen soakas se ma fahk mu, “Ku pwaye lah Saul el ekla sie mwet palu pac?”
And a man there answers and says, “And who [is] their father?” Therefore it has been for an allegory, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”
13 Ke Saul el oru tacn ac sasa in alyalu lal tari, na el som nu ke nien loang fineol uh.
And he ceases from prophesying, and comes to the high place,
14 Sie mukul wien papa tumal Saul el liyal Saul ac mwet kulansap lal, ac el siyuk seltal, “Komtal muta ya tuku?” Saul el fahk, “Kut suk donkey tuhlac ah. Ke kut kofla konauk, na kut som nu yorol Samuel.”
and the uncle of Saul says to him, and to his young man, “To where did you go?” And he says, “To seek the donkeys; and we see that they are not, and we come to Samuel.”
15 Na papa sac siyuk, “Ac mea Samuel el fahk nu sumtal?”
And the uncle of Saul says, “Please declare to me what Samuel said to you.”
16 Na Saul el fahk, “El fahk mu koneyukyak tari.” Tusruktu el tiana fahk ma Samuel el fahk kacl lah el ac tokosrala.
And Saul says to his uncle, “He certainly declared to us that the donkeys were found”; and of the matter of the kingdom he has not declared to him that which Samuel said.
17 Samuel el pangoneni mwet uh nu ye mutun LEUM GOD in acn Mizpah,
And Samuel calls the people to YHWH to Mizpeh,
18 ac el fahk nu selos, “LEUM GOD lun Israel el fahk, ‘Nga uskowosme liki facl Egypt ac molikowosla liki inpoun mwet Egypt ac liki mwet saya nukewa su akkeokye kowos.
and says to the sons of Israel, “Thus said YHWH, God of Israel: I have brought up Israel out of Egypt, and I deliver you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all the kingdoms who are oppressing you;
19 Nga God lowos, su molikowosla liki ongoiya ac ma upa nu suwos, tuh pa misenge kowos sisyula ac siyuk ke sie tokosra. Ouinge kowos toeni in sruf lowos ac in sou lowos, ac utyak nu ye mutun LEUM GOD.’”
and you have rejected your God today, who [is] Himself your Savior out of all your evils and your distresses, and you say, No, but you set a king over us; and now, station yourselves before YHWH, by your tribes, and by your thousands.”
20 Na Samuel el sap kais sie sruf in kilukyak, ac LEUM GOD el sulela sruf lal Benjamin.
And Samuel brings all the tribes of Israel near, and the tribe of Benjamin is captured,
21 Na Samuel el sap kais sie sou in sruf lal Benjamin in kilukyak, na sou lal Matri sulosolla. Na kais sie mukul in sou lal Matri kilukyak, na Saul, wen natul Kish, el solla. Elos sokol tuh elos kofla konalak.
and he brings the tribe of Benjamin near by its families, and the family of Matri is captured, and Saul son of Kish is captured, and they seek him, and he has not been found.
22 Na elos siyuk sin LEUM GOD, “Ya oasr pac sie sayal?” Ac LEUM GOD El topuk, “Saul el a wikwik ingo inmasrlon kufwen sroasr.”
And they ask again of YHWH, “Has the man come here yet?” And YHWH says, “Behold, he has been hidden near the vessels.”
23 Ac elos kasrusr ac usalu nu yurin mwet uh, ac ke el tuyak inmasrlon mwet uh, el fulat lukelos nukewa finpisalyak.
And they run and bring him there, and he stationed himself in the midst of the people, and he is higher than any of the people from his shoulder and upward.
24 Ac Samuel el fahk nu sin mwet uh, “Pa inge mwet se su LEUM GOD El sulela! Wangin sie inmasrlosr oana el.” Ac mwet uh nukewa wowoyak ac fahk, “In paht moul lal tokosra!”
And Samuel says to all the people, “Have you seen him on whom YHWH has fixed, for there is none like him among all the people?” And all the people shout, and say, “Let the king live!”
25 Na Samuel el aketeya nu sin mwet uh ke kunokon ac suwohs lun sie tokosra. El simusla ma inge in sie book, ac filiya in sie acn mutal. Na el supwalik mwet uh nu in acn selos.
And Samuel speaks to the people the right of the kingdom, and writes in a scroll, and places [it] before YHWH; and Samuel sends all the people away, each to his house.
26 Ac Saul el folokla pac nu yen sel in acn Gibeah. God El pirik insien kutu mwet pulaik ac ku, ac elos welul Saul som.
And Saul has also gone to his house, to Gibeah, and the force goes with him whose heart God has touched;
27 Tusruktu kutu mwet lusrongten elos fahk, “Mea, oasr ma wo mwet se inge el ku in oru nu sesr?” Elos pilesral ac tia use kutena mwe lung nu sel. Tuh Saul el mislana.
and the sons of worthlessness have said, “How can this one save us?” And they despise him, and have not brought a present to him; and he is as one being deaf.
