< Sie Tokosra 8 >
1 Na Tokosra Solomon el pangonma mwet kol nukewa lun sruf ac ota lun Israel nu yorol nu Jerusalem, elos in tuh usla Tuptup in Wuleang lun LEUM GOD liki acn Zion, Siti sel David, nu in Tempul.
Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which [is] Zion.
2 Elos nukewa fahsreni ke pacl in Kufwen Iwen Aktuktuk ke malem akitkosr, su malem Ethanim.
And all the men of Israel assembled themselves to king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which [is] the seventh month.
3 Ke mwet kol uh nukewa fahsreni, na mwet tol elos srukak Tuptup in Wuleang
And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.
4 ac usla nu in Tempul. Mwet Levi ac mwet tol elos oayapa moklela Lohm Nuknuk sin LEUM GOD ac kufwa nukewa kac, nu in Tempul.
And they brought the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that [were] in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring.
5 Tokosra Solomon ac mwet Israel nukewa tukeni nu ye mutun Tuptup in Wuleang, ac kisakin sheep ac cow arulana pus, tia ku in oaoala.
And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled to him, [were] with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
6 Na mwet tol elos usla Tuptup in Wuleang nu in Tempul, ac likiya in Acn Mutal Na Mutal ye cherub luo.
And the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy [place], [even] under the wings of the cherubim.
7 Posohksok lun cherub inge asrosrelik ac sunya tuptup sac ac srenenu usyen tuptup sac.
For the cherubim spread forth [their] two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and the staffs thereof above.
8 Mwet se fin tu suwosna nu mutun Acn Mutal Na Mutal, el ac ku in liye pukun srenenu inge, tusruktu el tia ku in liye el fin tu ke kutena acn saya. (Srenenu inge oasr na we nwe misenge.)
And they drew out the staffs, that the ends of the staffs were seen out in the holy [place] before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are to this day.
9 Wangin ma oan in Tuptup in Wuleang sayen eot luo ma Moses el tuh likiya loac Fineol Sinai, ke LEUM GOD El orala wulela se yurin mwet Israel tukun elos illa liki acn Egypt.
[There was] nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses deposited there at Horeb, when the LORD made [a covenant] with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
10 Ke mwet tol elos illa liki Tempul uh, na kitin pacl ah na pukunyeng se nwakla in Tempul uh,
And it came to pass, when the priests had come out of the holy [place], that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,
11 ac kalem kac sarmelik ke wolana lun LEUM GOD, pwanang elos tia ku in folokyak in oru ma kunalos.
So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.
12 Na Solomon el pre ac fahk, “LEUM GOD, kom orala faht uh, A kom sulela in muta in acn lohsr matoltol.
Then spoke Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
13 Inge, nga musaela sie tempul wolana nu sum, Sie acn kom in muta we nwe tok.”
I have surely built thee a house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.
14 Ke mwet uh tu insac, Tokosra Solomon el forang nu selos, ac el siyuk tuh God Elan akinsewowoyalos.
And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel were standing.
15 El fahk, “Kaksakin LEUM GOD lun Israel! El oru oana wuleang ma El orala nu sel David, papa tumuk, ke El tuh fahk nu sel,
And he said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled [it], saying,
16 ‘Oe ke pacl se nga tuh use mwet luk liki acn Egypt nwe misenge, nga tiana sulela sie siti in acn Israel nufon in musaela sie tempul, yen mwet uh in alu nu sik we. A nga tuh sulekomla, David, in leum fin mwet luk.’”
Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel from Egypt, I have chosen no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
17 Ac Solomon el tafwela ac fahk, “David, papa tumuk, el tuh nunku elan musai sie tempul tuh in nien alu nu sin LEUM GOD lun Israel,
And it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
18 tuh pa LEUM GOD El fahk nu sel, ‘Pwaye sum in lungse musaela sie tempul nu sik,
And the LORD said to David my father, Whereas it was in thy heart to build a house to my name, thou didst well that it was in thy heart.
19 tusruktu kom ac tiana musai, a wen se nutum su ma nutum na pwaye, pa ac musai sie tempul sik.’
Nevertheless, thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house to my name.
20 “Ac inge LEUM GOD El akpwayeye wulela lal. Nga aolla papa tumuk in tokosra lun Israel, ac nga musaela Tempul uh tuh in nien alu nu sin LEUM GOD lun Israel.
And the LORD hath performed his word that he spoke, and I have risen in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built a house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
21 Ac nga oayapa akoela sie acn in Tempul nu ke Tuptup in Wuleang, su nein eot luo ma simla wuleang su LEUM GOD El orala yurin mwet matu lasr ke El usalosme liki acn Egypt.”
And I have set there a place for the ark, in which [is] the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them from the land of Egypt.
22 Na Solomon el som ac tu mutun loang sac ye mutun mwet Israel nukewa, ac el sralak paol
And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands towards Heaven:
23 ac pre ac fahk, “O LEUM GOD lun Israel, wangin sie god oana kom in kusrao lucng ku fin faclu ten! Kom liyaung wuleang lom nu sin mwet lom, ac akkalemye lungse lom nu selos ke pacl elos akos kom ke insialos nufon.
And he said, LORD God of Israel, [there is] no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart.
24 Kom sruokyana wulela lom nu sel David, papa tumuk, ac misenge kas nukewa akpwayeyuk.
Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou didst promise him: thou didst speak also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled [it] with thy hand, as [it is] this day.
25 Ac inge, LEUM GOD lun Israel, nga pre tuh kom in oayapa liyaung wulela se saya ma kom tuh orala nu sin papa tumuk ke kom fahk nu sel mu sie sin tulik natul pa ac tokosra fin acn Israel in pacl nukewa, elos fin oaru na in akos kom oana el tuh oru.
Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou didst promise him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; provided thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.
26 Ouinge, O LEUM GOD lun Israel, lela ma nukewa ma kom tuh wulela nu sin mwet kulansap lom, David papa tumuk, in akpwayeyuk.
And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou didst speak to thy servant David my father.
27 “Tusruktu, LEUM GOD, ya pwaye kom ku in muta fin faclu? Finne yohk acn inkusrao a koflana neinkomyak, na fuka tuh Tempul se nga musaela inge in fal nu sum?
But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have built?
28 LEUM GOD luk, nga mwet kulansap lom. Porongo pre luk, ac topuk mwe siyuk luk nu sum misenge.
Yet have thou respect to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken to the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee this day:
29 Karingin Tempul se inge ke len ac fong, acn se su kom sulela mwet uh in alu nu sum we. Porongeyu ke nga ac forang nu ke Tempul se inge ac pre.
That thy eyes may be open towards this house night and day, [even] towards the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken to the prayer which thy servant shall make towards this place.
30 Lohng pre luk, ac pre lun mwet lom ke elos ac forang nu ke acn se inge ac pre. Porongekut ke kom muta in acn sum inkusrao, ac nunak munas nu sesr.
And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray towards this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling-place: and when thou hearest, forgive.
31 “Fin oasr fahkya mu sie mwet el orala ma koluk nu sin sie pac mwet, ac utuku el nu ye mutun loang lom in Tempul se inge tuh elan orala fulahk lal lah wangin mwatal,
If any man shall trespass against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thy altar in this house:
32 O LEUM GOD, lohng inkusrao me. Nununku mwet kulansap lom inge. Sang kalyei nu sel su fal in kalyeiyuk ke sripen ma koluk el orala, ac aksukosokyela mwet se su wangin mwatal.
Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
33 “Ke pacl mwet lom Israel kutangyukla sin mwet lokoalok lalos ke sripen elos oru ma koluk lain kom, na elos fin forla ac auliyak, ac tuku nu ke Tempul se inge ac pre nu sum ke inse pusisel tuh kom in nunak munas nu selos,
When thy people Israel shall be smitten before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication to thee in this house:
34 nga siyuk tuh kom in lohng mwe siyuk lalos inkusrao me. Nunak munas ke ma koluk lun mwet lom, ac folokunulosme nu in acn se ma kom tuh sang nu sin mwet matu lalos.
Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again to the land which thou gavest to their fathers.
35 “Ke pacl kom sruokya af lom mweyen mwet lom oru ma koluk lain kom, na elos fin auliyak ac forma nu ke Tempul se inge ac pre nu sum ke inse pusisel tuh kom in nunak munas nu selos,
When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray towards this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:
36 lipsre pre lalos inkusrao me. Nunak munas ke ma koluk lun tokosra ac lun mwet Israel, ac luti nu selos in oru ma suwohs. Na kom, O LEUM GOD, fah supwama af nu fin facl se sum inge, su kom sang nu sin mwet lom tuh in mwe usru lalos nwe tok.
Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou mayest teach them the good way in which they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.
37 “Ke pacl in sracl, ku mas upa sikyak fin acn uh, ku fokin acn uh musalla ke eng ac fol upa ac un locust, ku ke pacl mwet lokoalok elos mweuni mwet lom, ku elos maskin mas keok,
If there shall be in the land famine, if there shall be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, [or] if there shall be caterpillar; if their enemy shall besiege them in the land of their cities, whatever plague, whatever sickness [there shall be];
38 porongo pre lalos. Fin oasr inmasrlon mwet lom mwet Israel, su pulakunak asor na pwaye, ac asroeot paolos nu ke Tempul se inge ac pre nu sum,
Whatever prayer and supplication shall be [made] by any man, [or] by all thy people Israel, who shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands towards this house:
39 lohng pre lalos. Porongalos in acn sum inkusrao, ac nunak munas nu selos ac kasrelos. Kom mukena pa etu nunak su oan insien mwet uh. Oru nu sin kais sie mwet fal nu ke orekma lal,
Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling-place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, [even] thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men; )
40 tuh mwet lom fah ku in akos kom in pacl nukewa ke elos muta fin facl se su kom sang nu sin mwet matu lasr.
That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest to our fathers.
41 “Ac oayapa, ke pacl sie mwetsac el tuku liki sie acn loessula ke sripen pweng keim,
Moreover, concerning a stranger, that [is] not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name's sake;
42 ac el forma nu ke Tempul se inge ac pre nu sum, mweyen el lohng ke Ine kulana lom ac ma sakirik puspis kom oru nu sin mwet lom,
(For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy out-stretched arm; ) when he shall come and pray towards this house;
43 lohng pre lal. Lohng mwe siyuk lal yen kom muta we inkusrao, na mwet nukewa faclu fah etekom ac akos kom, oana ke mwet Israel lom elos oru. Na elos fah etu lah Tempul se nga musaela inge pa acn mwet uh in alu nu sum we.
Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling-place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as [do] thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.
44 “Ke pacl kom sapkin nu sin mwet lom in som nu ke mweun lain mwet lokoalok lalos, ac elos pre nu sum in kutena acn elos oasr we, ac elos forma nu ke siti se inge su kom sulela, ac nu ke Tempul se inge su nga musaela nu sum,
If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray to the LORD towards the city which thou hast chosen, and [towards] the house that I have built for thy name:
45 lohng pre lalos. Porongalos inkusrao me, ac sang kutangla nu selos.
Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.
46 “Ke pacl mwet lom oru ma koluk lain kom (aok, wangin sie mwet tia oru ma koluk) na ke sripen kom kasrkusrak selos kom sang mwet lokoalok lalos in kutangulosla ac usalosla in mwet kapir nu in facl saya, facl sac finne oan loesla,
If they shall sin against thee, (for [there is] no man that sinneth not, ) and thou shalt be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives to the land of the enemy, far or near;
47 porongo pre lun mwet lom. Elos finne muta in acn sacn, a elos fin auliyak ac pre nu sum ac fahkak lupan koluk lalos su arulana yohk, O LEUM GOD, lohng pre lalos.
[Yet] if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent and make supplication to thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;
And [so] return to thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, who led them away captive, and pray to thee towards their land, which thou gavest to their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:
49 na lohng pre lalos. Porongalos yen sum inkusrao, ac pakoten nu selos.
Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling-place, and maintain their cause,
50 Nunak munas nu selos ke ma koluk lalos ac ma nukewa elos oru lain kom, ac oru tuh mwet lokoalok lalos in kulang nu selos.
And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions in which they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:
51 Elos mwet na lom, su kom use liki acn Egypt, sie acn su arulana fol, oana sie funyu.
For they [are] thy people, and thy inheritance, which thou broughtest out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:
52 “LEUM GOD Fulatlana, lela kom in ngetnget kulang nu sin mwet lom Israel ac tokosra lalos in pacl nukewa, ac lohng pre lalos ke pacl nukewa elos pang nu sum tuh kom in kasrelos.
That thy eyes may be open to the supplication of thy servant, and to the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken to them in all their supplications to thee.
53 Kom sulelosla liki inmasrlon mwet nukewa tuh elos in mwet lom sifacna, oana ke kom akkalemye nu selos sel Moses, mwet kulansap lom, in pacl se kom use mwet matu lasr liki acn Egypt.”
For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, [to be] thy inheritance, as thou didst speak by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O LORD God.
54 Tukun Solomon el aksafyela pre lal nu sin LEUM GOD, el tuyak mutun loang sac, yen se na ma el tuh sikukmutunte ac sralak paol we.
And it was [so], that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication to the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees, with his hands spread up to heaven.
55 El siyuk ke sie pusra lulap tuh God Elan akinsewowoye mwet nukewa su tukeni in acn sac. El fahk,
And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,
56 “Kaksakin LEUM GOD, su asang misla nu sin mwet lal oana El tuh wulela kac. El liyaung na wulela wolana lal nukewa su El tuh fahkak nu sel Moses, mwet kulansap lal.
Blessed [be] the LORD, that hath given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.
57 Lela LEUM GOD lasr in wi kut na, oana ke El tuh wi mwet matu lasr. Lela Elan tia fahsr liki kut, ku siskutla.
The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:
58 Lela Elan oru kut in aksol, tuh kut in ku in moul fal nu ke ma lungse lal pacl nukewa, ac kut in moulkin ac liyaung ma sap lal ac oakwuk lal su el sang nu sin mwet matu lasr.
That he may incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.
59 Lela tuh LEUM GOD lasr in esam pre se inge, oayapa mwe siyuk luk nu sel inge in pacl nukewa. Lela tuh Elan pakoten nu sin mwet Israel ac nu sin tokosra lalos, fal nu ke mwe enenu lalos len na len.
And let these my words with which I have made supplication before the LORD, be nigh to the LORD our God day and night, that he may maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:
60 Na mutunfacl uh nufon fah etu lah LEUM GOD mukena pa God pwaye, ac wangin sie sayal.
That all the people of the earth may know, that the LORD [is] God, [and that there is] none else.
61 Lela kowos, mwet lal, in pwayena nu sin LEUM GOD lasr pacl nukewa, ac akos ma sap ac oakwuk nukewa lal, oana ke kowos oru misenge.”
Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.
62 Na Tokosra Solomon ac mwet nukewa su welul, elos orek kisa nu sin LEUM GOD.
And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before the LORD.
63 El kisakin longoul luo tausin cow ac siofok longoul tausin sheep, tuh in mwe kisa in akinsewowo. Ouinge tokosra ac mwet nukewa kisaela Tempul.
And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace-offerings, which he offered to the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.
64 In len sac pacna el oayapa akmutalye ipin acn se infulwen kalkal se ke mutun Tempul, na el kisakin mwe kisa firir, ac mwe kisa wheat, ac kiris ke kosro ma kisakinyuk nu ke kisa in akinsewowo we. El oru ma inge, mweyen loang bronze sac srikla lac nu ke mwe kisa inge nukewa.
The same day did the king consecrate the middle of the court that [was] before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt-offerings, and meat-offerings, and the fat of the peace-offerings: because the brazen altar that [was] before the LORD [was] too little to receive the burnt-offerings, and meat-offerings, and the fat of the peace-offerings.
65 Ke inkul in Tempul uh, Solomon ac mwet Israel nukewa elos akfulatye Kufwen Iwen Aktuktuk ke len itkosr. Oasr un mwet na lulap se su tuku yen loessula, oe ke Innek In Utyak Nu Hamath epang nwe ke masrol nu Egypt in acn eir.
And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entrance into Hamath to the river of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, [even] fourteen days.
On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went to their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people.
