< Sie Tokosra 19 >

1 Tokosra Ahab el srumun nu sel Jezebel, mutan kial, ke ma nukewa ma Elijah el oru, ac ke el tuh uniya nufon mwet palu lal Baal.
And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and likewise how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.
2 Na Jezebel el sapla nu sel Elijah ac fahk, “Nga fin tia folokin nu sum, ke pacl se inge lutu, ke ouiya se na ma kom oru nu sin mwet palu ma kom uniya ah, lela god uh in uniyuwi ngan misa!”
Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.
3 Elijah el sangeng ac kaing in suk moul lal. El eis mwet kulansap se lal ac som nu Beersheba in acn Judah. El filiya mwet kulansap sac we,
And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.
4 ac el fahsr ke len fon se uten acn uh. El muta mongla ye lulin sak soko ac kena elan misa. El pre ac fahk, “LEUM GOD, arulana upala! Eisla moul luk! Fal na ngan misa!”
But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
5 El ona ye sak soko ac motulla. In kitin pacl ah na sie lipufan lun LEUM GOD kahlilya ac fahk, “Tukakek mongo.”
And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.
6 El ngutalik, ngetot ngetma nwe liyauk srukwal in flao se manman fin eot fol, ac sufa in kof soko oan apkuran nu ke sifal. El mongoi ac nimkofi ac sifilpa ona.
And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baked on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
7 Lipufan sac el sifil foloko, ac oaksalak pacl se akluo ac fahk, “Tukakek mongoi, mweyen kom fin tia, ac arulana upa nu sum in fahsr.”
And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for you.
8 Elijah el tukakek ac mongoi ac nimkofi, na mongoi lal ah sang ku lal in fahsr len angngaul nu fineol mutal Sinai.
And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
9 Ke el sun acn we, el utyak nu in sie luf in motulla we ke fong se. In pacl sac na, LEUM GOD El kaskas nu sel ac fahk, “Elijah, mea kom oru inge uh?”
And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What do you here, Elijah?
10 El topuk, “LEUM GOD Kulana, kom mukena pa nga kulansupu in pacl nukewa. Tusruktu mwet Israel elos pilesrala wulela lalos yurum, ac kunausla loang lom uh, ac uniya mwet palu lom nukewa. Nga mukena pa lula sin mwet palu uh, ac elos suk pac in uniyuwi!”
And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and slain your prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
11 LEUM GOD El fahk nu sel, “Illa ac tu ye mutuk fin mangon eol uh.” Ouinge LEUM GOD El fahla alukela, ac supwama eng na upa se, ac fulungya eol uh ac fukulya eot uh, a LEUM GOD El wangin in eng uh. Ke eng uh tui, na kusrusr se sikyak, tuh LEUM GOD El wangin pac in kusrusr sac.
And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
12 Tukun kusrusr sac, na oasr e se, tuh LEUM GOD El wangin in e sac. Ac tukun e sac, oasr pusra na srisrik ac fisrasr se.
And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
13 Ke Elijah el lohng, el afinya mutal ke nuknuk lik lal, ac el illa ac tu ke mutun luf sac. Na pusra se fahk nu sel, “Elijah, mea kom oru inge uh?”
And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What do you here, Elijah?
14 El topuk, “LEUM GOD Kulana, kom mukena pa nga kulansupu in pacl nukewa. Tusruktu mwet Israel elos pilesrala wulela lalos yurum, ac kunausla loang lom uh, ac uniya mwet palu lom nukewa. Nga mukena pa lula sin mwet palu uh, ac elos suk pac in uniyuwi.”
And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and slain your prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
15 LEUM GOD El fahk, “Folokla nu yen turangang uten acn Damascus, ac utyak nu in siti uh, ac mosrwella Hazael elan tokosra lun Syria.
And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when you come, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:
16 Mosrwella Jehu wen natul Nimshi elan tokosra lun Israel, ac mosrwella Elisha wen natul Shaphat mwet Abel Meholah tuh elan mwet palu aol kom.
And Jehu the son of Nimshi shall you anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shall you anoint to be prophet in your room.

And it shall come to pass, that him that escapes the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapes from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.
18 Tusruktu nga ac fah likiya mwet itkosr tausin in moulna fin acn Israel, aok elos nukewa su inse pwaye nu sik ac tia alu nu sel Baal, ku ngok mutun ma sruloala lal.”
Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which has not kissed him.
So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.
20 Elisha el filiya ox natul, ac kasrusr tokol Elijah ac fahk, “Kom ku in soaneyu ngan som wilkas nu sel papa ac nina, na nga fah tuku wi kom.” Ac Elijah el fahk, “Wona. Folokot, nga tia ikol kom!”
And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray you, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to you?
21 Na Elisha el som nu ke ox lukwa natul ac uniya, ac etongkin mwe palpal kac in sang akmoulyela ikwa uh, na el sang kiteya mwet uh. Toko el som welul Elijah in mwet kasru lal.
And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.
