Then David said, This is the house of Yhwh God, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.

2 Tokosra David el sap mwetsac nukewa su muta in facl Israel in toeni, ac el sang orekma kunalos. Kutu selos tufahl eot lulap in sang musai Tempul uh.

And David commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.

3 David el sap in utuku osra lulap mwe orek osra in patput ac osra in kapsreni polosak ke mutunpot, ac oayapa osra bronze na lulap-wangin mwet ku in etu toasriya.

And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the joinings; and brass in abundance without weight;

4 El sap mwet Tyre ac mwet Sidon in use polosak cedar pukanten.

Also cedar trees in abundance: for the Sidonians and they of Tyre brought much cedar wood to David.

5 In nunak lal David el nunku mu, “Tempul se su wen nutik Solomon el ac musai inge enenu in arulana oasku ac pwengpeng nu fin faclu nufon. And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for Yhwh must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.

Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build an house for Yhwh God of Israel.

And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of Yhwh my God:

8 Tusruktu, LEUM GOD El fahk nu sik lah pusle mwet nga uniya, ac pusle mweun nga oru. Na ke sripen yokla srah nga aksororyela, God El ac tia lela ngan musai sie tempul nu sel.

But the word of Yhwh came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.

9 Tusruktu El oru sie wulela nu sik ac fahk, ‘Ac fah oasr sie wen nutum su ac fah leum ke pacl in misla, mweyen nga ac fah akmisye inmasrlol ac mwet lokoalok lal. Inel ac fah pangpang Solomon, mweyen in pacl el leum, nga ac fah oru tuh mwet Israel in okak ac muta in misla.

Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.

10 El ac fah musai sie tempul nu sik. El ac fah wen nutik, ac nga ac fah papa tumal. Fwilin tulik natul ac fah tokosra fin mwet Israel ma pahtpat.’”

He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.

11 Na David el sifilpa fahk, “Wen nutik, lela tuh LEUM GOD lom in wi kom, ac finsrak in pwaye wulela lal keim tuh kom in ku in musaela sie tempul nu sel.

Now, my son, Yhwh be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of Yhwh thy God, as he hath said of thee.

12 Oayapa lela tuh LEUM GOD lom Elan asot etauk ac lalmwetmet nu sum, tuh kom fah ku in kol mwet Israel fal nu ke ma sap lal.

Only Yhwh give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of Yhwh thy God.

13 Kom fin akos ma sap nukewa ma LEUM GOD El sang nu sel Moses in kol mwet Israel, na kom ac fah kapkapak in ma wo. Kom in ku ac pulaik. Nikmet sangeng ke kutena ma.

Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which Yhwh charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.

Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of Yhwh an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto.

Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work.

Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, And Yhwh be with thee.

17 David el sapkin nu sin mwet kol nukewa in Israel tuh elos in kasrel Solomon.

David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,

18 El fahk mu, “LEUM GOD lowos El tuh wi kowos in pacl e nukewa, ac El oru tuh in oasr misla yen nukewa apunla facl suwos. El oru tuh nga in ku in kutangla mwet nukewa su muta in acn inge meet, ac inge elos muta ye pouwos ac ye poun LEUM GOD.

Is not Yhwh your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before Yhwh, and before his people.

19 Inge kowos in kulansupu LEUM GOD lowos ke insiowos kewa ac ke ngunuwos kewa. Kowos in mutawauk musai Tempul an, tuh kowos in ku in filiya Tuptup in Wuleang lun LEUM GOD loac, oayapa ma mutal nukewa ma orekmakinyuk ke pacl kowos alu nu sel.”

Now set your heart and your soul to seek Yhwh your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of Yhwh God, to bring the ark of the covenant of Yhwh, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of Yhwh.
