< Sie Chronicle 17 >

1 Inge Tokosra David el muta okak in lohm sin tokosra. Sie len ah el sapla nu sel Nathan mwet palu, ac fahk, “Inge nga muta in sie lohm orekla ke sak cedar, a Tuptup in Wuleang lun LEUM GOD oan in lohm nuknuk se!”
Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in a house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD [remaineth] under curtains.
2 Ac Nathan el fahk, “Oru ma nukewa ma kom nunku an, mweyen God El wi kom.”
Then Nathan said to David, Do all that [is] in thy heart; for God [is] with thee.
3 Tusruk in fong sac, God El fahk nu sel Nathan,
And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
4 “Fahla ac fahk nu sel David mwet kulansap luk, lah nga fahk, ‘Tia kom pa mwet se ac musai sie tempul nu sik ngan muta loac.
Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not build me a house to dwell in:
5 Oe ke pacl se nga tuh molela mwet Israel liki inpoun mwet Egypt ah nwe misenge nga soenna muta in sie tempul. Pacl nukewa nga muta in lohm nuknuk ac mukuiwot mukuime, acn nu ke acn.
For I have not dwelt in a house since the day that I brought up Israel to this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from [one] tabernacle [to another].
6 In fufahsryesr luk nukewa yurin mwet Israel, wanginna pacl nga tuh siyuk sin mwet kol su nga sulela ah, lah efu ku elos tia musaela sie tempul ma orek ke sak cedar ah sik.’
Wherever I have walked with all Israel, have I spoken a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me a house of cedars?
7 “Ke ma inge, fahk nu sel David mwet kulansap luk, lah nga, LEUM GOD Kulana fahk nu sel, ‘Nga eiskomla liki liyaung sheep inimae, ac oru tuh kom in leum fin mwet luk, mwet Israel.
Now therefore thus shalt thou say to my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheep-cote, [even] from following the sheep, that thou shouldst be ruler over my people Israel:
8 Nga tuh wi kom yen nukewa kom fahla nu we, ac nga tuh kutangla mwet lokoalok lom nukewa ye motom. Nga fah oru kom in pwengpeng oana mwet kol fulatlana fin faclu.
And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thy enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that [are] in the earth.
9 Nga tuh sulela sie acn nu sin mwet luk mwet Israel, ac oakelosi we tuh elos in ku in muta ke acn selos sifacna, ac tia sifil aklokoalokyeyuk. Mwet koluk fah tia sifil akkeokyalos oana meet
Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning.
10 ke pacl lun mwet nununku ah me, su nga tuh pakiya tuh elos in kol mwet luk, mwet Israel. Nga wulela nu sum lah nga ac karingin kom liki mwet lokoalok lom nukewa, oayapa nga fah oru in oasr tulik nutum.
And since the time that I commanded judges [to be] over my people Israel. Moreover, I will subdue all thy enemies. Furthermore, I tell thee that the LORD will build thee a house.
11 Ke kom ac misa ac pukpuki yurin mwet matu lom, nga ac oru sie sin wen nutum in tokosra, ac nga ac fah liyaung tokosrai lal in ku.
And it shall come to pass, when thy days shall be ended that thou must go [to be] with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, who shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
12 El pa mwet se su ac musai sie tempul nu sik, ac nga ac fah oru fita lal in leum ma pahtpat.
He shall build me a house, and I will establish his throne for ever.
13 Nga ac fah papa tumal ac el fah wen nutik. Nga ac fah tia tulokinya kasru luk nu sel oana nga tuh oru nu sel Saul, su nga sisella tuh kom in tokosrala.
I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took [it] from [him] that was before thee:
14 Nga ac fah fililya tuh elan kol mwet luk ac tokosrai luk ma pahtpat. Ac fah wangin saflaiyen tokosrai lal nwe tok.’”
But I will settle him in my house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.
15 Nathan el fahkang nu sel David ma nukewa ma God El akkalemye nu sel.
According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak to David.
16 Na Tokosra David el som nu in Lohm Nuknuk Mutal sin LEUM GOD, ac el muta nu ten ac pre, “O LEUM GOD, nga ac sou luk kupansuwol in eis ma nukewa ma kom oru tari nu sik.
And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who [am] I, O LORD God, and what [is] my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
17 Ac inge, LEUM GOD, kom sifilpa oru yohk liki: kom orek wulela tari ke tulik nutik nwe ke yac yac fahsru, ac kom sifacna oru nu sik oana ngan sie mwet fulat.
And [yet] this was a small thing in thy eyes, O God; for thou hast [also] spoken of thy servant's house for a great while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
18 Mea pac nga ku in fahk nu sum! Kom arulana eteyu, a kom akfulatyeyu, mwet kulansap lom.
What can David [speak] more to thee for the honor of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.
19 Ma inge nukewa orek ke sripen lungse lom ac oakwuk lom, tuh kom in akkalemye nu sik ke ouiyen fulat luk tok.
O LORD, for thy servant's sake, and according to thy own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all [these] great things.
20 LEUM GOD, wangin sie oana kom. Kut nuna etu oemeet me lah kom mukefanna pa God.
O LORD, [there] is none like thee, neither [is there any] God besides thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
21 Wangin pac sie mutunfacl fin faclu oana Israel, su kom molelosla liki kohs lalos tuh elos in mwet lom sifacna. Ma usrnguk ac wolana su kom oru nu selos, oru tuh Inem in pwengpeng fin faclu nufon. Kom tuh molela mwet lom liki facl Egypt, ac lusak mutunfacl saya ke mwet lom elos fahsr nu meet.
And what one nation in the earth [is] like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem [to be] his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt?
22 Kom oru tuh mwet Israel in mwet lom ma pahtpat, ac kom, LEUM GOD, pa God lalos.
For thy people Israel didst thou make thy own people for ever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God.
23 “Ac inge, LEUM GOD, oru tuh wuleang se su kom wulela keik ac ke tulik nutik in akpwayeyuk nwe tok, ac oru oana ma kom fahk mu kom ac oru.
Therefore now, LORD, Let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said.
24 Pweng keim ac fah arulana yohk, ac mwet uh ac fah fahk nwe tok, ‘LEUM GOD Kulana, El God lun Israel.’ Ac kom fah karinganang tuh fita luk in leum in fwil nukewa.
Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts [is] the God of Israel, [even] a God to Israel: and [let] the house of David thy servant [be] established before thee.
25 Nga pulaik in pre nu sum ouinge, O God luk, mweyen kom akkalemye ma inge nukewa nu sik, mwet kulansap lom, ac kom fahk pac nu sik lah kom ac oru fwil nutik nukewa in tokosra.
For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him a house: therefore thy servant hath found [in his heart] to pray before thee.
26 Kom, O LEUM GOD, kom pa God, ac kom orala wuleang wolana se inge nu sik.
And now, LORD, thou art God, and hast promised this goodness to thy servant:
27 Nga siyuk sum tuh kom in akinsewowoye fwil nutik, tuh elos in engankin lungkulang lom pacl e nukewa. O LEUM GOD, kom akinsewowoyalos tari, ac mwe insewowo lom ac fah oan faclos nwe tok.”
Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and [it shall be] blessed for ever.
