창세기 5
1 아담 자손의 계보가 이러하니라 하나님이 사람을 창조하실 때에 하나님의 형상대로 지으시되
This is the record of Adam's descendants. When God created human beings, he made them to be like him.
2 남자와 여자를 창조하셨고 그들이 창조되던 날에 하나님이 그들에게 복을 주시고 그들의 이름을 사람이라 일컬으셨더라
He created them male and female, and blessed them. On the day he created them he called them “human.”
3 아담이 일백 삼십세에 자기 모양 곧 자기 형상과 같은 아들을 낳아 이름을 셋이라 하였고
When Adam was 130, he had a son who was like him, made in his image; and he named him Seth.
4 아담이 셋을 낳은 후 팔백년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
Adam lived another 800 years after Seth was born, and had other sons and daughters.
5 그가 구백 삼십세를 향수하고 죽었더라
Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.
6 셋은 일백 오세에 에노스를 낳았고
When Seth was 105, he had Enosh.
7 에노스를 낳은 후 팔백 칠년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
Seth lived another 807 years after Enosh was born, and had other sons and daughters.
8 그가 구백 십이세를 향수하고 죽었더라
Seth lived a total of 912 years, and then he died.
9 에노스는 구십세에 게난을 낳았고
When Enosh was 90, he had Kenan.
10 게난을 낳은 후 팔백 십 오년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
Enosh lived another 815 years after Kenan was born, and had other sons and daughters.
11 그가 구백 오세를 향수하고 죽었더라
Enosh lived a total of 905 years, and then he died.
12 게난은 칠십세에 마할랄렐을 낳았고
When Kenan was 70, he had Mehalalel.
13 마할랄렐을 낳은 후 팔백 사십년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
Kenan lived another 840 years after Mehalalel was born, and had other sons and daughters.
14 그가 구백 십세를 향수하고 죽었더라
Kenan lived a total of 910 years, and then he died.
15 마할랄렐은 육십 오세에 야렛을 낳았고
When Mahalalel was 65, he had Jared.
16 야렛을 낳은 후 팔백 삼십년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
After Jared was born, Mahalalel lived another 830 years and had other sons and daughters.
17 그가 팔백 구십 오세를 향수하고 죽었더라
Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years, and then he died.
18 야렛은 일백 육십 이세에 에녹을 낳았고
When Jared was 162, he had Enoch.
19 에녹을 낳은 후 팔백년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
After Enoch was born, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters.
20 그가 구백 육십 이세를 향수하고 죽었더라
Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died.
21 에녹은 육십 오세에 므두셀라를 낳았고
When Enoch was 65, he had Methuselah.
22 므두셀라를 낳은 후 삼백년을 하나님과 동행하며 자녀를 낳았으며
He had a close relationship with God. After Methuselah was born, Enoch lived another 300 years and had other sons and daughters.
23 그가 삼백 육십 오세를 향수하였더라
Enoch lived a total of 365 years.
24 에녹이 하나님과 동행하더니 하나님이 그를 데려 가시므로 세상에 있지 아니하였더라
Enoch had such a close relationship with God that he didn't die, he just wasn't there anymore, because God took him.
25 므두셀라는 일백 팔십 칠세에 라멕을 낳았고
When Methuselah was 187, he had Lamech.
26 라멕을 낳은 후 칠백 팔십 이년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
After Lamech was born, Methuselah lived another 782 years and had other sons and daughters.
27 그는 구백 육십 구세를 향수하고 죽었더라
Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.
28 라멕은 일백 팔십 이세에 아들을 낳고
When Lamech was 182, he had a son.
29 이름을 노아라 하여 가로되 `여호와께서 땅을 저주하시므로 수고로이 일하는 우리를 이 아들이 안위하리라' 하였더라
He named him Noah, with the explanation, “He will provide relief for us from all the hard manual labor we need to do in cultivating the ground the Lord has cursed.”
30 라멕이 노아를 낳은 후 오백 구십 오년을 지내며 자녀를 낳았으며
After Noah was born, Lamech lived another 595 years and had other sons and daughters.
31 그는 칠백 칠십 칠세를 향수하고 죽었더라
Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
32 노아가 오백세 된 후에 셈과, 함과, 야벳을 낳았더라
Noah was 500 before he had Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
