Matendo ya Mitume 24
1 Baada jha magono mahanu, Anania kuhani mbaha, baadhi jha bhaseya ni n'jobhaji mmonga jhaakutibhweghe Tertulo, bhakalota pala. Bhanu abha bhaletili mashataka dhidi jha Paulo kwa Gavana.
And after five days, the high-priest Ananias came down with the elders, and one Tertulius an orator, who appeared before the governor against Paul.
2 Paulo bho ajhemili palongolo pa gavana, Tertulo akajhanda kun'takila ni kujobha kwa gavana, “kwandabha jha bhebhe tujhe ni imani nibaha; ni kwa maono ghe jhobhi ghileta mageuzi manofu mu taifa lya jhoto;
And when he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, "As by thee we enjoy much peace, and glorious things are done to this nation by thy prudent administration,
3 Basi kwa shukurani jhioha twipokela shukurani jhioha khila khenu kya wibhomba, Wasalam mheshimibhwa Feliki.
we acknowledge it upon all occasions and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness.
4 Lakini nisikutondesi zaidi, nikusihi unipelekesiajhi malobhi madusu kwa fadhili jha jhobhi.
But that I may not trespass upon thee too far, I beg thou wouldst hear us a few words with thy wonted goodness.
5 Kwandabha tun'kabhili munu ojho n'korofi, na isababisya bhayahudi bhoha kuasi pa dunia. Kabhele ndo ndongosi ghwa madhehebu gha Bhanazorayo. (Zingatilati: Sehemu jha malobhi gha n'sitari obhu 24: 6
For having found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ring-leader of the sect of the Nazarenes,
6 Na kabhele ajaribu kulisoppa hekalu unajisi hivyo tukan'kamula, ujhelepi mu nakala sinofu sya muandi). (Zingatilayi: N'stari obho
and attempting to profane the temple, we apprehended him, and would have judged him according to our law.
7 Lisiasi, afisa, akahida na akan'tola kwa nghofu mu mabhoko gha tete, ujhelepi mu nakala sinofu sya majhandiku gha muandi).
But Lysias the tribune came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands, commanding his accusers to come unto thee:
8 Lekan'kotayi Paulo kuhusu mambo agha, hata wibetakusimanyisya ni khenu gani tun'takili.”
from whom thou mayst thyself by examining him come to the knowledge of all these things of which we accuse him."
9 Bhayahudi ni bhene bhakan'takila Paulo, bhakajobha kujha mambo agha gha bhukweli.
And the Jews also assented, saying, that these things were so.
10 Liwali bho ampungili kibhoko ili Paulo alongelayi, Paulo ajibili, “Nimanyili kujha kwa miaka mingi ujhe ghwa mwamuzi ghwa taifa ele, na nijhe ni furaha kwijhelesya nejhoni kwa bhebhe.
Then Paul, when the governor permitted him to speak, answered in this manner, "As I know that thou hast been many years a judge to this nation, I do the more chearfully answer for myself:
11 Wibhwesya kuhakikisya kujha ghapetilepi zaidi jha magono kumi na mbili tangia nikwelili kulota kuabudu Yerusalemu.
because thou mayst know, that there are not more than twelve days since I went up to worship at Jerusalem:
12 Na bhobhanikolili mu hekalu, nabishenelepi ni munu jhejhioha, na nabhombi lepi fuju pa mkutano, wala ku masinagogi wala mugati mu mji;
and they neither found me disputing with any one in the temple, or making sedition among the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
13 na bhibhwesya lepi kuhakikisha kwa bhebhe mashitaka gha bhakanitakila dhidi jha nene.
nor can they prove the things of which they now accuse me.
14 Ila nikiri e'le kwa bhebhe, jha kujha kwa njela jhela ambayo bhakajhikuta dhehebu, kwa njela jhejhu ejhu nikantumikila K'yara ghwa dadi jhitu. Nene ne mwaminifu kwa ghoha mu sheria ni maandikhu gha manabii.
But this I confess unto thee, that after the way, which they call heresy, so do I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law, and the prophets:
15 Nijhe ni bhujasiri bholabhola kwa K'yara ambabho hata abhu nabhene bhakaulendela, kuhida kwa ufufuo kwa bhafu, kwa bhoha bhenye haki na bhabhabelikujha ni haki kabhele;
having hope in God, (which they themselves also expect) that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
16 ni kwa e'le, nibhomba mbombo ili nijhelayi ni dhamiri jhajhibelikujha ni hatia mbele jha K'yara ni mbele jha bhanu kupetela mambo ghoha.
And on this account do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence both towards God and towards men.
17 Henu baada jha miaka mingi nihidili kuleta msaada kwa taifa lya nene ni zawadi jha hela.
Now after several years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings.
18 Bho nibhombi naha, Bhayahudi fulani bha Asia bhanikolili mugati mu sherehe jha utakaso mugati mu hekalu, bila likundi lya bhanu wala ghasia.
Upon which some Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with multitude nor with tumult:
19 Bhanu abha ambabho jhilondeka bhajhelayi mbele jha bhebhe henu apa na bhajobhayi khela kyabhajhenaku juu jha nene kama bhajhe ni lilobhi lyolyoha.
who ought to have been here before thee, and make good their charge, if they had any thing against me.
20 Au bhanu abha bhene na bhajobhayi likosa leleku lyabhalibhwene kwa nene bho nijhemili palongolo pa baraza lya kiyahudi;
Or let these themselves say, if they found any crime in me, when I stood before the sanhedrim;
21 Isipokujha kwa ndabha jha khenu kimonga kyanakijobhili kwa sauti bho nijhemili katikati jha bhene, 'kwandabha jha ufufuo bhwa bhafu muenga mukanihukumu.”
unless for this one expression, that I cried out when I stood among them, For the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day."
22 Feliki ajhele ataarifibhu kinofu kuhusu njela, ni kubhuairisha mkutano. Akajobha, “Lisia jemedari paibeta kuhida pasi kuhoma Yerusalemu nibetakubisya maamuzi dhidi jha mashitaka gha muenga.”
And when Felix heard these things he put them off, (for he had been more particularly informed concerning this way of religion, ) and said, When Lysias the tribune comes down, I will thoroughly examine your matters.
23 Ndipo akaamuru akida andendayi Paulo, ili ajhelayi ni nafasi na sijhi munu wakubhabesya bharafiki bha muene bhasin'tangatili wala kun'gendela.
And he commanded the centurion to keep Paul secure, and to let him have some liberty, and to hinder none of his friends from assisting him or coming to him.
24 Baada jha magono kadhaa, Feliki akakerebhuka ni Drusila n'dala munu jha ajhe Myahudi, akalaghisya kun'kuta Paulo ni kupelekesya kuhomela kwa muene habari sya imani mugati mwa Kristu Yesu.
Some days after Felix coming with his wife Drusilla, a Jewess, sent for Paul, and heard him concerning faith in Christ.
25 Ila Paulo bho ajhele ijadiliana ni muene kuhusu haki kujha ni kiasi ni hukumu jhajhibeta kuhida, Feliki akakabha hofu akajibu, “lotayi patali kwa henu, ila nikakabhayi muda kabhele, nibetakukuta.”
And as he was reasoning of justice, temperance, and a future judgement, Felix trembled, and said, Go thy way for this time, and I will take a proper opportunity to call for thee again.
26 Muda bhobhuobhu, ategemili kujha Paulo ibeta kumpela hela kwa hiyo ankutili mara simehele kulongela naku.
And hoping also that money would be given him by Paul, that he might discharge him; he sent for him the more frequently, and conversed with him.
27 Ila miaka mibhele jhajhipetili, Porkio Festo akajha Liwali baada jha Feliki, ila Feliki alondeghe kwipendekesya kwa bhayahudi, efyo akandeka Paulo chini jha uangalizi.
But after two years Felix received a successor, Porcius Festus; and being willing to gain favor with the Jews lest Paul confined.
