1 Kwa ndabha mwayhomo mmanyili, ndhongo, kwa bhujio wa tete kwa muenga wayelepi wa mebhwa.
For ye yourselves know, brothers, our entrance with you, that it has not become empty.
2 Mmanyili kuwa muandi twatesiki ni kutubhona kisoni khola kufilipi, kama kammnyili. Twayele bhakifu kup'etela K'yara kubhomba injili ya muene kup'etela tabu syoa.
But having suffered before and been mistreated in Philippi, as ye know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the good news of God within much conflict.
3 Kwa ndabha mahusiano ghitu ghihomela lepi kwa ubaya, wala kwa uchafu, wala kup'etela hila.
For our exhortation is not from error, nor from uncleanness, nor in deception,
4 Badala yake, kama kayakubaliki ni K'yara ni kuaminibhwa kiinjili, ndo katinena. Tinena si kwa kubhafurahisha bhanu, ila kwa kumfurahisha K'yara. Muene ndo yachungusya miteema ya tete.
but as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the good news, thus we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who proves our hearts.
5 Kwa ndabha twatumili lepi malobhi gha kujipendekesa magono ghoa ghoa, kama kammnyili, walakutumila malobhi kujo kisingizio kya tamaa, K'yara ndo shaidi wayhoto.
For we came neither in word of flattery (at any time as ye know) nor a pretense of greed (God is witness)
6 Wala twalondili lepi utukufu kwa bhanu, wala kuh'omela kwa yhomo au bhangi. Ngata bbhwesili kudai au kupendebhulibhwa kitya bhatume bha Yesu Kristu.
nor seeking glory from men, neither from you nor from others. While able to bear down as apostles of Christ,
7 Badala yake taye tabhapole kati ya yhoto kujo mabhu kabhafaliji bhana bha muene.
nevertheless we became gentle in the midst of you, as a nurse cherishes her own children.
8 Kwa njela eye taye ni upendo kwa yhomo. Twayele radhi kabh'ele kubhashilikisya muinjili ya K'yara bali kabhele ni maisha gha yhoto tabhene. Kwa ndabha muyele bhapendwa bhitu.
Thus being desirous of you, we were pleased to impart to you, not only the good news of God, but also our own souls, because ye have become beloved to us.
9 Kwa ndabha ndhongo mwikhomboka mbhombho ni tabu sya yhoto. Pakilu ni pamusi twayela kubhomba mbhombho ili tukotokulewabhwa kwa yuoayola, magono ghala, twabhahubilili ayi injili ya K'yara.
For ye remember, brothers, our labor and the hardship. For, laboring night and day in order not to burden any of you, we preached to you the good news of God.
10 Muenga mashaidi, ni K'yara kabhele, ndo kwa N'takatifu wa namna yeleku, ya haki, ni bila lawama tuayalotili twayhoto palongolo pa yhomo pabha mwiamini.
Ye are witnesses, and God, how piously and justly and blamelessly we became to you who believe,
11 Eye kabh'ele, mmanyili kwa namna yeleku kwa Kila mmonga bhinu, kujo Dadi kaayele kwabhanabhabhi katika bhahimisi ni kubhapela mioyo. Twashuhudili.
just as ye know, as each one of you as a father of his own children, imploring you, and comforting,
12 Ndabha yapasibhu kulota kawayele bhuito bhuinu kwa K'yara yaabhakutilimu ufalme ni utukufu bhuake.
and solemnly declaring for you to walk worthily of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.
13 Kwa ndabha ya ele tikamshukuru K'yara muda bhuowa. Kwa ndabha magono gha mwapokolai mjumbe kuhomela kwa tete was K'yara wamwapeleliki, mwayopolili, si kama lilobhi la binadamu. Badala yake, mwayopolili kama kaliyele lilobhila K'yara. Ndo lilobhi la lifuanya mbhombho mbhombho kwa bhabhiamini.
And because of this we thank God without ceasing, because, having received the word of God heard from us, ye received not the word of men, but as it truly is, the word of God, which also is at work in you who believe.

For ye, brothers, became imitators of the congregations of God, which are in Judea in Christ Jesus, because ye also suffered the same things by your own countrymen, just as also they by the Jews.
15 Bhayele bhayaudi ndo ya bharikomili Bwana Yesu pamonga ni bhamanabii. Ndo bhayaudi bhabhatubhengili tupitai kwibhala. Bhakampendesya lepi K'yara ndo maadui kwa bhanu bhoa.
The men who both killed the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and who persecuted us, and are not pleasing to God, and are contrary to all men.
16 Bhatuzuili tusijobhi kwa mataifa ili bhabhwesyai kuokolibhwa. Matokeo ghaki ndo bhiyendelila ni dhambi sabhene. Kumuishu ghadhabu ihidili panani pabhene.
Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles so that they might be saved, in order to fill up their sins always. But wrath came upon them finally.
17 Tete, ndongo, twatengene ni muenga kwa magono madebe, kimbhele, si kup'etela roho. Twaketili kwa uwezo was yhoto na kwa shauku iyene kubhona nyuso sinu.
But we, brothers, who were orphaned from you for the time of an hour, in presence not in heart, hastened more earnestly to see your face, with much desire.
18 Kwa ndabha twalondai kuhida kwa yhomo, nene Paulo, kwa mala ya kuanza ni muda yhene, jobha lisyetani latuzuili.
Therefore we wanted to come to you, indeed I, Paul, even once and again, and Satan hindered us.
19 Kwa ndabha ya kujiamini kwa yhoto ndo kiki kapalongolo, au furaha, au litaji la kujifunila palongolo pa Bwana Yesu, magono gha kuhida kuaki? Na simuenga zaidi kama kabhayele bhamana?
For what is our hope or joy or crown of boast? Or is it not even ye, before our Lord Jesus at his coming?
20 Kwa ndabha muenga ndo utukufu ni furaha yhitu.
For ye are our glory and joy.
