1 Petro 5
1 Nikabhasili bhaseya bhabhaj'hele miongoni mwinu, nene, j'hanij'hele nsaya njabhi na shahidi ghwa malombosi gha Kristu, na ambaj'he vilevile ni mshirika mu bhutukufu bhwabhwibetakudhihirika.
I exhort the elders among you, I who am a fellow elder, a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker of the glory that will be revealed:
2 Henu nikabhapela muoyo muenga bhasaya, mulichungai likundi lya k'yara lyalij'hele miongoni mwinu. Mulilangai, sio kwandabha mwilondeka, lakini kwa ndabha mwilonda aghu, kul'engana ni k'yara. Mulilangai, sio kwa kugana hela sya soni, lakini kwa kugana.
Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly; not for sordid gain, but eagerly.
3 Msibhombi mabwana juu j'ha bhanu bhabhaj'hele pasi j'ha bhuangalizi bhwinu, lakini mujhiaghe mfuano mu likundi.
Do not lord it over those entrusted to you, but be examples to the flock.
4 Pale mchungaji m'mbaha paibetakudhihirisibhwa, m'beta kujhipokela litaji lya bhutukufu j'hajhibeli kujhesya bhusamani bhwake.
And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
5 Vilevile, muenga bhasongolo bhadebe, mkitengulilaghe kwa bhabhaha bhinu. Muenga mwe bhoha, uvaeni bhutengulisi ni kuhudumilana j'homu kwa j'homu, kwani k'yara akabhapinga bhenye kiburi, lakini ikabhapela neema bhatengulisi.
In the same way, you who are younger must submit to your elders. And all of you must clothe yourselves with humility as you submit to one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
6 Kwa hyo mkitengulidagha pasi pa mabhokho gha k'yara j'haaj'hele hodari ili abha j'hinulaghe kwa bhwakati bhwake.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time,
7 Mubhekaghe fadhaa syinu panani pake, kwandabha akabhajali.
casting all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.
8 Muj'hiaghe ni busara, muj'hiaghe bhaangalifu. J'hola adui j'hinu ibilisi kama limba j'haiunguruma inyatila, pailonda munu ghwa kundamra.
Be sober-minded and watchful; your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
9 Muj'hemayi kinyume kyake. Muj'hiaghe ni ngofu mu imani j'hinu. Mkamanyiayi kuj'ha bhalongobhinu bhajele kumbinguni bhip'hetela malombosi kama aghu.
Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are enduring the same kinds of suffering.
10 Baada j'ha kul'ombosi bhwa kwa muda lukhombi, k'yara ghwa neema j'haankutili mu bhutukufu bhwa milele mugati mwa Kristu, ibetakubhakamilisya, ibetakubhakangamisya ni kubhapela ngofu. (aiōnios g166)
And after you have suffered for a little while, may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, himself perfect you; he will establish, strengthen, and settle you. (aiōnios g166)
To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 Nikan'thamini Silwano kama ndongobhangu mwaminifu, na nibhalenibili muenga kwa kifupi kup'hetela kwa muene. Nikabhapela muoyo nanishuhudila kuj'ha kyanikilembili ni neema jha bhukweli j'ha k'yara. Mujhemaghe mugati mwake.
Through Silvanus, whom I regard as a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, encouraging you and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.
13 Bhaamini bhabhajhele Babeli, bhabhasilibhu pamonga namu, bhakabhasalimu, ni Marko mwanabhangu, akabhasalimu.
She who is in Babylon, who is chosen together with you, greets you, and so does my son Mark.
14 Muponesianaghe kila mmonga kwa busu lya luganu. Ni amani ijhelayi kwa muenga mwamujhele mugati mwa Kristu.
Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be with all of you who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
