< 1 Petro 3 >
1 Kwa nj'hela ej'he, muenga ambabho ndo bhadala mwilondeka kwih'omesya kwa bhagosi bhinu mwej'homu, ili hata kama bhaadhi j'ha bhene bhabelili kulitii lilobhi, kup'hetela tabia sya bhadala bhabhi bhibhwesya kufutibhwa bila litobhi.
Likewise, you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
2 Kwa ndabha bhene bhibekuj'ha bhaj'hibhwene tabia j'hinu j'hinofu pamonga ni litengo.
While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4 Lakini badala j'hiake j'hibhombekai kwa utu bhwa mugati mu n'teema, ni kuzidi mu bhonofu bhwa bhunyenyekevu ni bhutulivu bhwa n'teema, ambabho ndo bhwa thamani pamihu pa k'yara.
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:
6 Kwa nj'hela ej'he Sara alimtii Ibrahimu ni kunkuta muene “N'gosi” ghwa muene. Muenga henu ndo bhanabhabhi kama bhib'eta kubhomba ghaghaj'hele manofu na kama mwitila lepi mabhibhi.
Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters you are, as long as you do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
7 Kwa nj'ela ej'hu muenga bhagosi mwilondeka kutama ni bhadala bhinu Mkamanyai kujobha bhene ndo bhaenzi bhinu bhadala dhaifu, mkabhamanyai bhene kama bhapokelaji bhaj'hinu bha zawadi j'ha bhusima. Mubhombagha naha ili kuj'ha maombi ghinu, ghasibesibhu.
Likewise, you husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
Finally, be you all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brothers, be pitiful, be courteous:
9 Musilepi bhuovu kwa bhuovu, au lilighu kwa lilighu. kinyume kyake muj'hendelelaghe kubariki kwandabha ej'he mwabarikibhu ni kukutibhwa, ili mubhwesiaghe kurithi baraka.
Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that you are thereunto called, that you should inherit a blessing.
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
11 Na ageukaghe ni kuleka mabhibhi ni kubhomba ghaghaj'hele manofu. Alondai amani ni kuj'hifuata.
Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
12 Mihugha Bwana ghakambona j'heaj'he ni haki ni mbol'okhoto syake sikamp'heleka maombi ghake. Lakini pamihu pa Bwana uj'he kinyume kya bhala bhabhomba maovu”.
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
13 Niani ibeta kubhazuru muenga, ikajhiaghe mwitamani ghaghaj'hele manofu?
And who is he that will harm you, if you be followers of that which is good?
14 Lakini kama mwibetakutesibhwa kwa haki, m'barikibhu. Musitili ghala ambagho bhene bhitila. Musij'hi ni wasiwasi.
But and if you suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are you: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
15 Badala j'hiake mumb'ekaghe Kristu Bwana mu mi'teema ghinu kama n'takatifu. Kila bhwakati muj'hiaghe tayari kun'jibu kila munu j'haikabhakhota muenga kwandabha j'hakiki mwikiera kwa k'yara. Mubhombaghe naha kwa bhololo ni litengo.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
16 Muj'hiagha ni dhamiri j'hinofu ili bhanu bhabhiligha maisha ghinu manofu mu Kristu bhabhwesiaghe kuaibika kwandabha bhilongela kinyume dhidi j'hinu kama mwaj'hele bhabhomba maovu.
Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
For it is better, if the will of God be so, that you suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 Mu roho alotili ni kusihubiri roho ambasyo henu si j'hele mu kifungu.
By which also he went and preached to the spirits in prison;
20 Syajhelepi tiifu bhwakati bhuvumilivu bhwa k'yara ghwilenda bhwakati bhwa Nuhu, ligono lya bhujenzi bhwa safina, ni k'yara abhaokwili bhanu bhadebe —nafsi nane— kuh'omela mmasi.
Which sometime were disobedient, when once the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
21 Ej'he ndo alama j'ha bhubatiso bhwabhwikabhaokola muenga henu, siyo kama kusuka bhuchafu kuh'omela mu m'mb'ele, lakini kama ombi la dhamiri j'hinofu kwa k'yara, Kup'hetela bhufufuo bhwa Yesu Kristu.
The like figure to which even baptism does also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, ) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
22 Muene aj'hele mu kibhoko kya kuume bhwa k'yara. Alotili kumbinguni. Malaika, mamlaka, ni ngofu lasima vimtii muene
Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.
