1 Unsiekhie ghula, u Helode akhaphulikha imbombo incha Yesu.
At that tyme Herod the tetrarcha hearde of the fame of Iesu
2 Akhavavula avavombi va mwene, “Uyou vi Yohana umwonchi anchukhiele ukhuhuma khuvuwe. Amakha ghamwene ghakhale ghipivomba eimbombo khumwene.”
and sayde vnto his servautes: This is Ihon ye baptist. He is risen agayne from deeth and therfore are soche myracles wrought by him.
3 Ulwa khuva u Herode amwibite u Yohana akhankhungha akhanchikhundhaha munyololo, kunongo iya Herodia, undhala uvava Filipo va nkaghaye.
For Herod had taken Ihon and bounde him and put him in preson for Herodias sake his brother Philips wyfe.
4 Ulwa khuva u Yohana ambuliele akhata, “Salukhale lwiva lunonu ukhuva ave indhala vakho.”
For Ihon sayde vnto him: Yt is not lawfull for the to have her.
5 U Herode akhalonda unkhumbuda pwa akhadwada khuvanu ulwakhu avanu vambwene u Yohana ukhuta inyamalagho.
And when he wold have put him to deeth he feared the people because they counted him as a prophet.
6 Lyavile linchuva ilya lukhenkhelo ukhumbukha eilinchuva lielyo aholiwe u Herode umwa uva Herodia akhaneva vunonu phaghati phavanu u Herode akhanogwa.
But when Herodes birth daye was come the doughter of Herodias daunsed before them and pleased Herod.
7 Pwa anchovile akhijyiegha akhata uyuniekhukhupa khila khinu khikyo uvywinogwa une nikhukhupa.
Wherfore he promised wt an oth that he wolde geve hir whatsoever she wolde axe.
8 Umwana ula vakhanchovana nu vanina akhata, udove, “Akhuphe mukhekhombe untwe ugwa Yohana Uvikwoncha.”
And she beinge informed of her mother before sayde: geve me here Ihon baptistes heed in a platter.
9 Untwa adwadile nukhusagha akhavona inchi mbaha, ulwakhu aeinjyeghile, pavulongolo pavanu vavo vyalinchagha ikyakhula pamesa numwene pwa khata vakhalete.
And ye kynge sorowed. Neverthelesse for his othes sake and for their sakis which sate also at ye table he comaunded yt to be geven hir:
10 Akhansuha umunu ankhandete u Yohana khunyololo
and sent and beheeded Ihon in the preson
11 pwu vakhaghieola untwe ugwa Yohana vakhagheghela ungiencha musahani akhuphiela akhahielikha khwa vanina.
and his heed was brought in a platter and geven to the damsell and she brought it to her mother.
12 Avankhongi va mwene pwu vakha mpiemba umfimba ghula vakhaluta khusyiela, vuvasyelile vakhaluta khukhombula u Yesu, einongwa ieyo.
And his disciples came and toke vp his body and buryed it: and went and tolde Iesus.
13 U Yesu waphulikhe inongwa iencho, akhahegha phala akhaluta pavutali akhatoghe munghalava akhaluta khukhilunga eikhenghe, avanu vinghi vaviele vaphuliekhe ukhuta aheghile pwu vakhaghenda na malunde vakhankhonga ukhuluta khukhilungha ukhwalutiele.
When Iesus hearde that he departed thence by shippe in to a desert place out of ye waye. And when the people had hearde therof they folowed him afote out of their cities.
14 Hanghe u Yesu akhavavona avanu avinghi phavolongolo pa mwene avankhonghile. Akhava kholela ikhiesa pwu akhavayavila avatanu vavo vainchile navo.
And Iesus went forth and sawe moche people and his herte did melte vpon them and he healed of them those that were sicke.
15 Lyakhiemihe avankhonghi va mwene vakhaluta khumwene vakhanchova vakhata, “Apha tuliephalukhunghu eilinchuva lielutile. Vavule avanu vaghodokhaghe khuvunchenghe wa vene vakhaghule ikyakhula kya khula.
When even was come his disciples came to him sayinge. This is a deserte place and the daye is spent: let the people departe yt they maye go into ye tounes and bye them vytayllis.
16 U Yesu akhavavula akhata ava savakhaghodokhe, “Umwe muvape eikyakhula.”
But Iesus sayde vnto them. They have no neade to go awaye. Geve ye the to eate.
17 Vakhambula, “Apha tulienie nie fisyesye fihano ni somba ieveli vuvule.”
Then sayde they vnto him: we have here but. v. loves and two fysshes.
18 U Yesu akhanchova akhata, “Mume une.”
And he sayde: bringe the hyther to me.
19 U Yesu akhavavula avanu vatame pasi pamanyasi. Pwu akhatola ifisyesye fihano nie somba ieveile. Akhalola khukyanya, akhamanyula akhavapa avankongi. Avankhonghi vakhavaghaviela avanu avienghi.
And he comaunded ye people to syt downe on ye grasse: and toke ye. v. loves and the. ii. fysshes and loked vp to heven and blessed and brake and gave the loves to his disciples and the disciples gave them to ye people.
20 Pwu vakhalya voni vakhighuta. Pwu vakhalundamania ififyasighile fikhadhiegha ifitundhu khinchigho nifi vielie.
And they dyd all eate and were suffised. And they gadered vp of ye gobbetes that remayned vii. basketes full.
21 Avanu avalile avaghosi ava elfu vahano avadala savavaliwe na vavanana vophe savavaliewe.
And they yt ate werein nobre about. v. M. men besyde wemen and chyldren.
22 Pwu akhata khuvankonghi va mwene vienghiele muwato, vakheghe ukhulonghola ukhuluta khumwambo, umwene vuikhelagha khuvanu vavo vale vinghi.
And strayght waye Iesus made his disciples enter into a shippe and to goo over before him whill he sent ye people awaye.
23 Vueilaghile khuvanu ukhuta vaghodhokhaghe, umwene pwu akhakhegha akhaluta khuvutitu khukhwisaya mwene. Yiekhava lyakhiemihe akhava mwene.
And assone as he had sent the people awaye he went vp into a moutayne alone to praye. And when nyght was come he was there himsilf alone.
24 Vuvafikhe phaghati pha nyanja ienghava pwu yieliekwelela ulakhuva khwale numbelo nukhulughuta gwale imbaha.
And the shippe was now in the middes of the see and was toost with waves for it was a cotrary wynde.
25 Pwu pakhilo eikhilo iya nne u Yesu akhava pawipi, aliekhughenda pakyanya pa maghasi munyanja.
In the fourthe watche of ye night Iesus came vnto them walkynge on the see.
26 Avakhonghi vamwene, vuvawene u Yesu eighenda pakyanya pamaghasi vakhadwadha vakhata khipepenchela, vankhakhuta vakhapwata khumakha khuvundwanchi.
And when his disciples sawe him walkynge on the see they were troubled sayinge: it is some spirite and cryed out for feare.
27 Nambievie u Yesu akhavavula akhata, “Vulekhe uvudwanchi, inumbula nchienyo nchielekha ukhudwada nene, mweilekhelwe ukhudwada.”
And streyght waye Iesus spake vnto them sayinge: be of god cheare it is I be not afrayed.
28 U Petro akhanda akhata, “Ntwa, ienave veve, wiembule nayune ninche khulyuve nieghende pakyanya phamaghasi.”
Peter answered him and sayde: master if thou be he bid me come vnto the on the water.
29 Akhanchova akhata, “lenchaga.” U Petro akhikha mukyombo, akhaluta na malunde pakyanya pamaghasi ukhuluta khwa Yesu.
And he sayde come. And when Peter was come doune out of ye shippe he walked on ye water to go to Iesus.
30 Pwu u Petro aviele ieluta khwa Yesu akhalola unkhulughutu nu umbelo akhadwada, akhatenghula ukhwikha phasi pamaghasi, akhovela khulimenyu eilivaha akhata, “Nkhuludeva, iemokhe!”
But when he sawe a myghty wynde he was afrayed. And as he beganne to synke he cryed sayinge: master save me.
31 U Yesu akhagholola eikhievokho kya mwene iembive akhamwibata akhankwegha u Petro, akhambula, “Uve ulienu lyiedhikho ludhebe, khikhi ukhale nuvundwanchi?”
And immediatly Iesus stretched forth his hode and caught him and sayde to him: O thou of lytell faith wherfore diddest thou dout?
32 U Petro akhinghile mughati munghalava eimephu yiekhanunala.
And assone as they were come in to ye shippe ye wynde ceassed.
33 Avankhongi vavo vale mughati mukyombo, vakhansana u Yesu vakhanchova vakhata, “Lweli uve ulie Nswambe va Nghuluve.”
Then they that were in the shippe came and worshipped him sayinge: of a truth thou arte ye sonne of God.
34 Vuvalowiekhe vakhafikha, khukhilungha iekya khu Genesareti.
And when they were come over they went in to ye londe of Genazareth.
35 Avanu ava khwonu ukhwa vuvalumanyile ukhuta vie Yesu, pwu valikhunchova ukhuvavula avanu avaukhwa khufilungha fifwo filiemulonkhanji mbunjenghe uwa ukhu, pwu vakhavaghegha avanu voni vavo vale vatamu.
And when ye men of yt place had knowledge of him they sent out in to all yt countre rounde about and brought vnto him all that were sicke
36 Pwu valiekhudova nukhusiemieliencha ukhuta tudova twiebate ulughonjo ulwa mwenda gwakho, avienghi vavo vaibiete vaponile vunonu.
and besought him that they myght touche the hemme of his vesture only. And as many as touched it were made safe.
