< Yohana 9 >

1 Usekhe, u Yesu wigenda, ahambwene umunu uyusilola khuma iholiwa.
And as [Jesus] passed by, he saw a man who was blind from [his] birth.
2 Avasiole vamwene vakhamboncha, “Rabi, veni ayavambile imbivi, umunu uyu au avahonohi vamwene, ipakha akhaliwe silola?”
And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 UYesu akhanda, “Sio umunu oyu wala avakhoji vamwene vavombile imbivi, ili embombo ya Nguluve yepate ukhuvonekha ukhugendela khumwene.
Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
4 Yinogiwa ukhovamba embombo yamweni uyasukhile usekhe vabado musi. Eikhisi yikhwincha usekhe gugwa hakuna uyakheva iwesya uhuvomba embombo.
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh when no man can work.
5 Ulwahova ekhelonga, une nene lumumuli lwa khelunga.”
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
6 Ulwakhanchovile amamenyu aga, akhabekha pakhelunga, avekha elidope khumate, akhabaha umunu ula minukho nelidope.
When he had thus spoken, he spit on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
7 Akhambula, ulute ukhoge ikhesiva kha Siloam (Uye yitafisiliwa kama 'uyasuhiwe').” Umunu uywa akhaluta, akhakalava, akhakilivokha, ilola.
And said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
8 Avajilani va munu uywa avalikhombona ukhuma khuvotengolelo ukhumbona kama idofi vakhachava, Uyu! sio vemunu uyakhatamaga idova?” Avange vakhachova, “Ve mwene.”
The neighbors therefore, and they who before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?
9 Avange vakhachova, “Ate, ila ikhwanana numwene.” Lakini alengonchava alen'kota, “Nene.”
Some said, This is he: others [said], He is like him: [but] he said, I am [he].
10 Vakhambola, “Isainchi amikho gakho gafumbiliwe nekhehi?”
Therefore they said to him, How were thy eyes opened?
11 Akhanda, umunu uyuikhuelangiwa ve Yesu akhaveha alidope nukhubaha amikho gango nukhumbula, “Luta khu Siloam ukhakalave.' Ponekhaluta, nekhakalava, nekhavona nilola khange.”
He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus, made clay, and anointed my eyes, and said to me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.
12 Vakhambola, “Alendakhu?” Akhanda. “Sanelumanyile.”
Then said they to him, Where is he? He said, I know not.
13 Vakhan'gelekha umunu uywa uyagele ukhuva silola khuvamafalisayo.
They brought to the Pharisees him that before was blind.
14 Yekhale sikhu ya Sabato po u Yesu akhatengenisye ilidope nukhufumbula amikho gamwene.
And it was the sabbath when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
15 Avamafalisayo vahamboncha tena ukhugahile ndakhehi ipakha ukhalola. Aliwaambia, “Aliweka tope katika macho yangu, nikanawa na sasa naweza kuona.”
Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said to them, He put clay upon my eyes, and I washed, and do see.
16 Avange Avamafalisayo vakhachova, “Umunu uywa sakhomile khwa Nguluve ulwakhova sibite Esabato.” Avange vakhanchova, “Yiwesehana ndakhehi umunu unyambivi ivomba imbombo inchi?” Pe vakhaga venyekha vawo.
Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not from God, because he keepeth not the sabbath. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
17 Po vakhambon'cha uyusilola ukhepofu khange, “Wita ndakhehi khomwene ulyakhova akhafumbwile amio gakho?” Ukhopofu akhachova, “Inyamalago.”
They say to the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thy eyes? He said, He is a prophet.
18 Ipakha isaliin'chi avayahudi sava khedekhe ukhuta silola navope apatile ukhulola ipakha avelangile avakhon'chi vamwene uyawesije ukhulola.
But the Jews did not believe concerning him that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.
19 Vakhavovoncha avakhonchi, Je, uyu mwana venyo uyumwichova ukhuta akhaholiwe silola? Agakhile ndakhehi ukhulola?”
And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?
20 Avakhonchi vamwene vakhanda, “Tulumanyile ukhuta uya mwana venyo naakha khaliwe silola.
His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:
21 Ndakhehi leno ilola, satolomanyile, navopo uya dendwile amikho gamwene, satomanyile. Imbon'che yuywa. Munu imbakha. Iwesya ukhweyelesya yuywa.”
But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he will speak for himself.
22 Avakhon'chi vamwene vakhanchova amambo aga, ulwakhova vakhadwada Avayahudi ulwakhova Avayahudi vakhavile vedekhine tayali ukhuta, angave yeyoni ikhwedekha ukhuta u Yesu Klisiti, itengiwa ne Tembile.
These [words] his parents spoke, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man confessed that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
23 Ulwa khuva, uvakhon'chi vamwene vakhachovile, “Munu igoge imbakha imbonche yuywa.”
Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.
24 Ulwa vele, vakhamwelanga umunu ula uyegelile ukhuva silola nukhumbula, “Ipe u Nguluve uluginyo. Tulumanyile ukhuta umunu uyu inya mbivi.”
Then again they called the man that was blind, and said to him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.
25 Umunu ula akhanda, “Angave inya mbivi, une salumanyile. Ekhenu khemo ekhenelumanyile: Nekhale sanetekholola, isaliichi nilola.”
He answered and said, Whether he is a sinner, I know not: one thing I know, that whereas I was blind, now I see.
26 Po vakhambola, “Akhovambile khehi? Akhadendela amikho gakho?”
Then they said to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thy eyes?
27 Akhanda, “Nekhavavolile tayali, numwe samukhapolekhenche! Khehi mwinogwa ukhupolekha khange? Numwe samwinogwa ukhova vasite vamwene, eti?
He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: Why would ye hear [it] again? will ye also be his disciples?
28 Vakhadokha vakhanchova, uveve ulevasiole vamwene, ufyefye tolevasiole va Musa.
Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are the disciples of Moses.
29 Tulumanyile ukhuta u Nguluve akhanchovile nu Musa, khomunu uyu, satokhomanyile ukhwikhoma.”
We know that God spoke to Moses: [as for] this [man], we know not whence he is.
30 Umunu ula akhanda nukhuvavola, “Kwa nini, ele lijambo lwakhoswigencha, Unguluve ikhopolekhencha.
The man answered and said to them, Why, herein is a marvelous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and [yet] he hath opened my eyes.
31 Tulumanyile ukhuta u Nguluve sikhova polekhencha avanya sambi, ingave umunu idova khwa Nguluve ivomba umwanogile mwene, Unguluve ikhopolekhencha.
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man is a worshiper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
32 Ukhuma khitengola ikhelunga sayegele yekhomele wala ukhupolekha ukhuta yeyoni alalile amikho gamunu uyakhalwe silola. (aiōn g165)
Since the world began hath it not been heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. (aiōn g165)
33 Ingave umunu uyu sakhahuma khwa Nguluve, sakhaivomba khokhoni.”
If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.
34 Vakhanda vakhombola, “Ukhaholiwe mumbivi hani, buve vukhutumanyesyaga ufye?” Po vakhaswema ukhutembile.
They answered and said to him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? and they cast him out.
35 U Yesu akhapolekhe ukhuta van'genchinche ukhutembile. Akhombona nukhumbula, vukhu mwedekha umwana va munu?”
Jesus heard that they had cast him out: and when he had found him, he said to him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
36 Akhanda nukhuchova, “Veni, Intwa, nayone nemwedekhe?”
He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I may believe on him?
37 U Yesu akhambula, “Umbwene, uyuwinchova nave vemwene.”
And Jesus said to him, thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
38 Umunu ula akhanchova, “Intwa, Nikhwamini.” Pokhamwinamela.
And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshiped him.
39 U Yesu akhanda, “Khuvakhegi ninchile in'kelunga umu vavo savilola valolage navavo vilola vavenchage savilola.”
And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they who see not, may see; and that they who see, may be made blind.
40 Avange Avamafalisayo vakhale popaninye vape vakhapolekha amamenyu ago vakhamboja, “Na yofye satulola?”
And [some] of the Pharisees who were with him heard these words, and said to him, Are we blind also?
41 U Yesu avavola, “Mukhemvinchage samwilola, samukhale mwiva ni mbivi. Ata leno, mwinchova, 'Twilola,' imbivi nchenyo nchitama.”
Jesus said to them, If ye were blind, ye would have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
