< Yohana 19 >
1 Basi u Pilato atolile u Yesu nu hutova.
Then Pilate therefore took Jesus and scourged Him.
2 Vala avasihali vahasohota amatoni nuhutengenesia elitaji. Vahaveha hukianya hutwa ugwa Yesu nu hufualecha umwenda ugasamalawe.
And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head,
3 Vahamwichela nuhuchova, “Uve veve imbaha vavayahudi! navahatova humavoho gavene.
and threw a purple robe about Him, and said, "Hail king of the Jews," and struck Him with their hands.
Pilate therefore came out again, and saith unto them, Behold I bring Him out to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in Him.
5 U Yesu ahumile hunji afwalile amavuva gamatoni nemienda egwa sambalawe. Ndipo u Pilato ahavavula, “Lola umnu uyu apa!”
So Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, "Behold the man."
6 Usehe ugwa ndongochi umbaha vavile vambwane u Yesu, vahatova ikelele vahata, “Isulubeswe, sulubeswe.” U Pilato ahavavula, “Itole yumwemha sulubeswe uhuva une sanevu uvutula nogwa mgati mmwene.”
When the chief priests therefore and the officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, "Crucify Him, crucify Him." Pilate saith unto them, Take Him yourselves, and crucify Him: for I find no fault in Him.
7 Avayahudi vahajibu Pilato vahata, “Ufwe tule bila seliya, neseliya tule vuvule eya hunogwa uhubuda uhuva umwene ahefanyile uhuta mwana va Nguluve.”
The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law He ought to die, because He made himself the Son of God.
8 U Pilato avileipoleha amamenyu aga ahanja uhuduada,
Now when Pilate heard this he was the more afraid;
9 ahingela Praitorio tena nuhumbula u Yesu, “Uve uhumile ndahu? hata hivyo u Yesu sahajibu.
and went into the palace again, and saith to Jesus, From whence art thou? but Jesus gave him no answer.
10 U Pilato ahavuliwa, “Je, uve sawichova nune? Je, uvesulumanyile uhuta une nelena mamlaka ga huhufungula na mamlaka ahuhu sulubisia?”
Pilate therefore saith unto Him, Dost thou not speak to me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?
11 U Yesu ahajibu, “Ahata suhale wiva ni ngofu uhusidi hulione kamauhale sitolile hukianya. Ivyo umnu uva ang'echiche huliove alenimbivi imaha.”
Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above; wherefore he, that delivered me up to thee, hath the greater sin.
12 Uhuhumana nelijibu eli, u Pilato ahanogwa uhundeha hulu, lakini Avayahudi vaha tova ekelele vahachova, “Kama vuhundeha hulu uve sio ule lafiki va Kaisari: Hela uvivomba henyune hundongochi umbaha iva henyume nu Kaisari.”
Upon this Pilate sought to release Him; but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou release this man, thou art not Cesar's friend; for whosoever maketh himself a king, opposeth Cesar.
13 U Pilato avileihugapoleha amamenyu aga, ahandeta u Yesu hunzi kisha ahatama nave huhegoda ehia vuhegi pama hali papo pijulehana mahali pasumenti, lakini huhe kiebrania, Gabatha.
Therefore when Pilate heard this he brought Jesus forth, and sat down on the tribunal, in a place called the Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha.
14 ya maandalizi ga pasaha yavile yefihe pasehe uga saa sita. Pilato ahavavula Avayahudi, “Lola umbaha venyu uyu apa!”
(And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour.) And he saith to the Jews, Behold your king. But they cried out,
15 Vagatova ekelele, “asulubiswe umbaha vennyo undongochi umbaha ahajibu ufwe tule bila undongochi umbaha isipo kuwa Kaisari.”
Away with Him, away with Him, crucify Him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your king? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Cesar.
16 Ndipo u Pilato aha ngumia u Yesu vuvene ili asubihe.
Then delivered he Him therefore unto them to be crucified.
17 Navene vahatola u Yesu numwene ahahuma hali ahagega ehe da miling'na hiamwine ipaha huli eneo ilihelangiwa fuvu lia intwe huheebrania Golgotha.
And they took Jesus, and led Him away. And He went out, bearing his cross, into a place called the place of a scull, in Hebrew Golgotha:
18 Apo pavahasulubisia u Yesu, pamoja navagosi vavele yumo uvupande uvu nuyunge uvupande uvu nu Yesu katikati yavene.
where they crucified Him, and with Him two others, one on each side, and Jesus in the middle.
19 U Pilato ahasimba ealama nuhuyeveha hukianya mheda miling'ana apo pasimbiwe: YESU MNAZARETH, MFALME WA WAYAHUDI.
And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross: and there was written, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
20 Vingi Avayahudi vale huemba eyo amahali apo pasulubisie u Yesu pale kalibu nu mji.
Many of the Jews therefore read this inscription; for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.
21 Avalongochi avavaha ava vayahudi vahambula u Pilato, “Usite, 'Uhusimba umbaha vavayahudi.”
And the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, Write not "The king of the Jews," but that "He said, I am king of the Jews."
22 Nu Pilato ahavajibu gago, “Nesimbile gunesimbile.”
Pilate answered, What I have written, I have written.
23 Baada avasihali uhusulubisia u Yesu, vahatola emienda egia mwene nuhugaha katika amafungu gane, hela usihali fungu lemo, ne kanzu nayope nayekanzo yale sayahoniwe ya suhiwe uhuhuma hukianya.
And the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, (and made four parts, to each soldier a part, ) and his coat. Now the coat had no seam in it, being woven from the top throughout:
24 Kisha vahachovana vavo hwa vavo, “Tusite, uhugeda katikati bali tuyetovele ikula yiva ya veni.” Elio lia humile ili uvusimbe votimesiwe, lelio liachoviwe vagivine emwenda giango, neligandaliango vahale tovela ekula.”
they said therefore to one another, Let us not cut it, but let us cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, "They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots." These things therefore the soldiers did.
25 vahavomba amambo aga. Umama yake u Yesu, udada va mamaye, u Mariamu udala va Kleopa nu Mariamu Magdalena - avadala ava va emile kalibu neheda milingana enja Yesu.
Now there stood near the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleopas, and Mary Magdalene.
26 U Yesu avile ambwene. Umama yake nula uvasiule uvaganile vuvemile kalibu ahambula umama vamwene, “Udala, lola, umwana vaho uyu apa!”
Jesus therefore seeing his mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, saith to his mother, Woman, behold thy son:
27 Ahambula uvasiule, “Lola, umama vaho uyu apa. “Uhuhuma usehe ugwa uvasiule ahatola uhuluta hunyumba yamwene.
and then saith to the disciple, Behold thy mother. And from that hour the same disciple took her to his own home.
28 Baada ya ago, u Yesu ahelawa ahata aga gatali gasilile ili uvusimbe vitimesiwe ahachova ahata numilwe.
After this Jesus knowing that all things were now finished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
29 Uhwa hwale ehiombo hia degile siki basi va hahanjani isifongo eyeye degile siki hukianya hulusitu ulwa hisopo, vahaelehela mndomo.
Now there was set a vessel there full of vinegar: so they filled a spunge with the vinegar, and putting it upon hyssop, held it up to his mouth.
30 Basi u Yesu avile ipohela siki ahachova yesilile ahainamamisia. Utwe ahavula enumbula yamwene.
And when Jesus had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished. And reclining his head, He yielded up the ghost.
The Jews therefore, that the bodies might not remain upon the cross on the sabbath-day, because it was now the preparation, (for that sabbath-day was an high-day) desired Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
32 Basi avasihalivahaluta vahadenya amalunde uva huanza nu vavele aliye na Yesu pamoja nu mwene.
So the soldiers came, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other that was crucified with Him. But coming to Jesus,
33 Lakini vavile vandutile u Yesu nu hulola vahavuna ahamalile uhufwe savaha keda amalunde.
as they saw He was dead already, they did not break his legs:
34 Lakini uasihali yumo ahang'ome paluvafu mala ahahumi ukisa na magasi.
but one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water.
35 Nayumwene avalolile asihudile uvusuhuda wamwene aweni vuyelweli uvusuhuda wamwene aweni vuyelweli ili nayofwetupate uhusadihi.
And he that saw it testifieth it, and his testimony is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye may believe.
36 Uhuva ago gahumile ili uvusimbe vutimele, “Hapana elichege ilipia lidenyeha”.
For these things were done, that the scripture might be fulfilled, Not a bone of Him shall be broken.
37 Netena uvusimbe wichova, wingi “Valandola yuywa valehungoma”
And again another scripture saith, They shall look on Him whom they have pierced.
Bali ahaluta ahahecha umbele gwa mwene.
And after these things Joseph of Arimathea (who was a disciple of Jesus, but a concealed one for fear of the Jews) petitioned Pilate, that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him leave: he came therefore and took away the body of Jesus.
39 Ahaluta u Nikodemo navope ula uvi ahandutile pakelo hapo huanza ahaheleha amachanganyo ga mamenyu aga udi yapata uvuchito wa ratili mia moja.
And there came also Nicodemus (who at first came to Jesus by night) and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes about an hundred pound weight.
40 Basi vahagutola umbele gwa Yesu vahagukonga umwenda kitani pamoja mafuta agamanukato, kama vuyelevu imila chavayahudi katika kuzika.
So they took the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen cloths, with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.
Now there was a garden in the place where He was crucified; and in the garden a new sepulchre, in which none had ever yet been laid.
There therefore they laid Jesus, because of the Jews preparation-day; for the sepulchre was near.
