< Yakobo 1 >

1 U Yakobo ukungwa va Nguluve nu gwa Ntwa Yesu Klisite, ku makabila ekinchigo na kuvili avayaganighe nikuponja.
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
2 Mvalage uluhekelo fincho, valukolo lwangu, wumgenda mbukuvilwa wingi,
Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into various temptations;
3 Mgalumanye uhugeliwa kulwedeko lwenyo khukhupata ukwiyumilincha.
knowing that the trying of your faith worketh endurance.
4 Muleghe ukwiyumilincha, mmale imbombo ya mwene, ukhuta mudulughe vunono, pasita khupungukiwa khulilyoni.
But let endurance have a perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting in nothing.
5 Igava umunu pagati paliyumu ilonda ulugano, adovage ukhuma kwa Nguluve, uvihumya khukisa ulwa uhuva ihumya ghinchila khuhovela kuvidova, euhuvapa ulugano.
But if any one of you is wanting in wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it will be given him.
6 Mdovaghe kulwidiko, pasita uvudwanchi, ulwa kuva uvudwanchi vuhwanine nde mepo eyelimunyanja, yitoliwa ne mepu nu khutagiwa khona nukhwo.
But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting; for he that doubteth is like a wave of the sea driven by the wind and tossed.
7 Ulwakhuva umunu uyo alekhe ukusaga ukhuta akwambililiwa inogwa ncha mwene nu Nguluve;
For let not that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord,
8 Umunu uyo alinamasage gavili, inchila lwidiko mnchila ncha mwene nchoni.
a double-minded man as he is, unstable in all his ways.
9 Ulukolo uganchu inogiwa ukhiwnye ukhwima khukyanya,
Let the brother of low degree glory in that he is exalted;
10 usikhi gugugwa utayari mumbudwanchi wa mwene, ulwakhuva iyaga ndili vuva elyakukihulu mkhiyalo ekheegenda.
but the rich, in that he is made low; because as the flower of the grass he will pass away.
11 Elinchuva likhuma amafughe ghinyanya emibeki, amavuva khikwuma khiyancha uvunonu waghene, wifwa. vule vule avanu avatajiri viva vaghanchu kumbombo nchavene.
For the sun rose with its burning heat, and withered the grass, and its flower fell off, and the beauty of its appearance perished; so also will the rich man fade away in his ways.
12 Isayiwa umunu uvikwumilila mugelo, ulwakhuva aghalesye engelo incho, inkwambilila etaji ya wumi, yevikhiwe kuvala avagholofu wa Nguluve.
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he is approved, he will receive the crown of life, which He promised to them that love him.
13 Umunu uviavencha siwesya ukhunchova upwu egeliwa, “Egelo encho nchihuma khwa Nguluve,” ulwakuva uNguluve sigeliwa ni mbivi, nu Nguluve yuywa sikhugela umunu.
Let no one when he is tempted, say, I am tempted by God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he tempteth no one.
14 Khila munu egeliwa nu vunogwe wa mwene uvuvivi inchikusonga ukhukwega khuvutali.
But each one is tempted when by his own lust he is led away and enticed;
15 Ulwakhuva uvunogwe wa mbivi wigega unchigo, uvutulanongwa vuholiwa, imbimbi yegadulughe vunonu sisilila khuvufwe.
then lust, having conceived, bringeth forth sin, and sin, when completed, bringeth forth death.
16 Vagane valukolo lwango msite ukhusyovegha.
Do not err, my beloved brethren.
17 Unkwohela khunonu, nukhwohela khwihuma khukyanya, khukwigha pasi, ukhuma khwa Dada va lumuri. Lusiku sikhwanduka ndu mwinchinchi umwukhukwadukhila.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the lights, with whom is no change, nor shadow from turning.
18 UNguluve atukhali ufwe ukhutupa uwumi wa limyu lya lweli, tuve ukhuhwanana ndavaholiwa avakhanda avavikhwani fya mwene.
Of his own will he begot us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first-fruits of his creatures.
19 Mlemanyile eli, vagane valukololwagwa, kila munu yinogiwa avinchaghe epepe va khupulika, asitaghe ukhuva epepe vakhunchova nukhukalala,
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
20 Ulwa kuva iliyoyo lya munu salilivomba uluhungu lwa Nguluve.
For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
21 Lino muvinchage kuvuvtali uvulami wa mbivi ni nogwa nchoni, nulwinyisyo mwupelilaghe ilimenyu elivyaliwe ngati yeno, iliwisya ukupoka inumbula nchiyo.
Wherefore put off all filthiness, and excess of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 Litiini neno, msilisikie tu, mkijidanganya nafsi zenu wenyewe.
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
23 Uviavenchaga uviepulika elimenyu sikulivombela imbombo avile nde munu uviekilola kumiho nkyovo.
For if any one is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a glass;
24 Ukwilola kumincho, usenki usupi isamwa ikihwani kya mwene umwavelile.
for he beholds himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what manner of man he was.
25 Umunu uvielola vunonu endangilo nchoni, endagilo eya vudekedeke mbologolo ukwidika endagilo ulwakhuva umwene epulihencha sisamwa, umunu uyu esayiwa wivomba.
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty, and remains there, being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in his deed.
26 Engave umunu uviavinchaga esaga yuywa ukhuta munu va lwidiko, elemwa ukwulemilila ululimi lwa mwene ekuyesyova enumbula ya mwene na Lwediko lwa mwene.
If any one thinks that he is religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
27 Ulwidiko ulunonu salunaghike mbologolo mwa Nguluve vitu, ukuvatanga avapina, na vafwele mbugatale wa vene, ukwilolela vavo uvuliasi wa nkilunga.
Pure religion and undefiled before God, the Father, is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep one's self unspotted from the world.
