< Waebrania 4 >
1 Ulwakuva, tunogiewa ukhuva miho, ukuva mugaati mulyufwe sapilondiwa umunu yumo avyakhiva ivoneka eilemwa ukhufikha kuludeva ulyakukyanya ulwa Nguluve.
Let us therefore fear least a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of us should seem to fall short of it:
2 Ulwakuva lweli, tupulike eilimenyu ilya lugatalukho ilya Nguluve ilyuvatuvulile ufwe ndava Islaeli uvuvale nalyo, hange ilimenyu ielyo salyavatange vavo vapulikhe uvusavakhongine nulwidiko ulwa.
for we are graciously offered it, as they also were. But the word, which they heard, did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 Ufwe yufwe, tweedike ulweolieko-ufwe fwe tulimugaati tulingila mundugataluko lula, nduvuinchova, “Nduvunaijyiegile munduvipo lwango, Vusavalingiela mundugataluko lwango.” Anchovile ile, ulwakuva imbombo nchoni inchavombiwe ncha silile ukhuhuma kuvutengulilo uwakhilunga.
For we who believe shall enter into rest, as He said above, "So I sware in my wrath, they shall not enter into my rest:" though the works of creation were finished from the foundation of the world:
4 Ulwakuva unchovile badebe khusiku iyalekhela khumo, “UNguluve agaatalwike ilijuuva eilya lekhela khumo akhanchileka imbombo nchoni.”
for it is thus said concerning the seventh day, "And God rested the seventh day from all his works."
5 Ulwakhuma munchovile, “Vusavalingiela ndugaataluko ulwamwene.”
And yet in this place, "They shall not enter into my rest."
6 Ulwakhuva eiwo, ukhuhuma ndugaataluko ulwa Nguluve pwu kuvale avasigiile ukwingiela, ukhuhuma kuvanya Islaeli avingi uvuvapulike eilimenyu ielinonu ilyalugaataluko lyamwene ilyakwingiela savaingeele ulwakhuva savapulikhagaa,
Seeing therefore it remaineth that some are to enter into it, and they to whom it was at first offered did not enter because of their unbelief,
7 UNguluve hange aviekhile ilijuuva ilienge elyutwita “Ilelo.” Umwene aviekhile ilijuuva ile ukhugeendela khwa Ndaveti, uvianchovile kunsiekhe untali khugala agaanchoviwe kuvutengulilo, '“Ilelo mungapulikage ilimenyu lya mwene, mlekhe ukhunchivieka inumbu nchenyo ukhuva ng'afu.”
He appoints a certain day, called To-day, saying by David so long after, (as it is recorded) "To-day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts."
8 Ingave uYoshua avapile ulugataluko, uNguluve pwusakhale inchova kulijuuva ilienge khavili.
For if Joshua had given them the rest, He would not afterwards have spoken of another day.
9 Ulwakhuva yiesigile isabato iyalugaataluko khuvanu ava Nguluve.
There remaineth therefore a rest for the people of God:
10 Ulwakuva uveingile mundugaatalukho ulwa Nguluve vie mwene agaatalwikhe ukhukongana ni mbombo inchamwene, nduvu uNguluve avombile khumwene.
for he that is entered into his rest, hath also himself ceased from his works, as God did from his.
11 Pwutuvinchage nukhunogwa ukwingiela mundugaataluko lula.
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, least any one fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 Ulwakuva ilimenyu lya Nguluve lyumi hange lilina makha mundu yitema khunu na khunu. Khange linyanya ukhuluteilila ukhuwesa ukhugaava inumbula inchamepo, ni mono inchili mugaati mufilungielo fya mwene.
For the word of God is lively and efficacious, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of the very joints and marrow, and judging the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13 Iliwesya ukhuvomba amasaage ga wiegaane wa numbula ya mwene. Khisikuli ikhivumbikhe ikyefihili khumiho gaa Nguluve. Ulwakhuva khila khinu khilipavuvalafu khivonekha khumiho khumunu uvalala ivonesya imbaleelo.
And there is no creature concealed from his sight: but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him, to whom we are to give an account.
14 Pavulongolo tulava nu untekhenchi umbaha uvingile khukyanya, uYesu umwana va Nguluve, khumakha twibatelile ulweidiko lwetu.
Having therefore a great high-priest, that is passed into the heavens, even Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession:
15 Ulwakuva asikuli untekhenchi umbaha uvisiwesya ukwitwika iekhisa nu uvudekhedekhe weitu, ulwakhuva umwene vyalikhugeilwa khunjila nchoni nduufwe, apange umwene uvyalivuvule imbivi.
for we have not an high-priest who cannot sympathize with our infirmities, but was in all respects tempted in like manner with us, yet without sin.
16 Pwu twinchage namakha pakhinyalwangula ikyantwa ikyaluhungu, pwutwupilile ikhisa nukwupilila uluhungu ulwakhututanga unsiekhe wuu tulemilwe.
Let us therefore come with freedom to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace for our seasonable help.
