1 Uve vi Paulo vinsugwa va Yesu Klisite khulugano ulwa Nguluve, ni khukhuvulo nita ndagano inche womi mugati mwa Klisite Yesu,
Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life in Christ Jesus,
2 ukhuva u Timoti umwana ugane: Ikhisa nu lunonchehenso nu lukhungu ukhuhuma khwa Nguluve u Dada nu Klisite Yesu utwa vito.
to Timothy my beloved son, grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father, and from Christ Jesus our Lord.

keeping in memory the unfeigned faith, that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice: and I am persuaded that it dwells in thee also;
6 Iyi yuyimbikhile ukhuta ugadilage ikhikhungilwa kya Nguluve ikhimwukhile mugati mu ndyuve khunjila iya khubadikhiwa amavokho gango.
for which cause I remind thee to stir up the gift of God which is in thee through the imposition of my hands.

For God hath not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but of vigor, and of love, and of prudence.

Be not therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but bear thy part in the afflictions of the gospel, according to the power of God;

who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose, and grace bestowed upon us through Christ Jesus, before the world was, (aiōnios g166)

but now made manifest by the appearance of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and brought life and immortality to light by the gospel: for which I was appointed an herald,

and an apostle, and a teacher of the gentiles:
12 Ulwa khuva nagatanchiwe sanivona khinu ukhumanya umwene uvinamalile ukhwidika. Nilinuwa yilweli nelolelage isikhu nchoni khumwene.
for which cause also I suffer these things; but I am not ashamed: for I know in whom I have trusted, and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him against that day.
13 Ukhumbuke ikhikhwani ikhya limenyu ilyavugolofu iliwapulikhe ukhuhuma khulyune, paninye we kisa nu lugano lulwa lulyi mugati mwa Klisite Yesu.
Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard from me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

The good thing committed to thee keep, through the Holy Spirit which dwelleth in us.

Thou knowest that all those of Asia are turned from me, of whom is Phygellus and Hermogenes.
16 Utwa ayisaye ikhaya ya Onesiforo ulwa khuva unsikhi gwuoni alikhuhovosya nu khusita ukhuvona isoni ne misongerehane gwyango.
The Lord shew mercy to the family of Onesiphorus; for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain: but when he was at Rome,
17 Ukhuva uluale khu Roma khu makha akhambona.
he sought for me the more diligently, and found me.
18 Unguluve ansayage nu khumwimika nu luhungu ukhuhuma ilinsova lila. Nduvu anangile vunale khu Efeso, uve ulumanyile vunonu.
(The Lord grant that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day!) And how much he ministered to me at Ephesus too, thou knowest full well.
