1 Vanghane vango, ulwakhuva lulei nu lweideihano ulu, putweivalanche yufwe mumbombo nchooni inchikhutupela ukhuva va vwafu mumi veilei nghyeito na mu mepo. Pu tuvoulonde uvuvalanche mundudwaado lwa Nghuluve.

Having then these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all pollution of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

2 Pu leinomutupinchangha ukhuta tuvenchanghe munumbula ncheinyo! Satunangile umunu uvei avenchangha. Hange kelelukhile munu.

Receive us into your hearts; we have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have defrauded no one.

3 Saniita evwo ukhuta neivaheinginghe umwe. Pakhuva nemalile ukhuta umwe muleimunumbula ncheito, khulwufwe ukhufwa papaninie nukhutama pupaninie.

I am not saying this to condemn you; for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die with you and to live with you.

4 Neilei nuvukifu vwingi inghati ndyumwe punikheinghinia savuli yeinyo. Nei deinghile ulunonchehencho nuluhekhelo na mbunkuveilwa vweito vwooni.

Great is my confidence toward you, great is my glorying on your account; I am filled with comfort, I overflow with joy in all our trouble.

5 Twa inchile khu Makedonia, eimiveilei nghyeito sangheileikhukekha puleino twale nuvubaneileinchivwa munjela nchooni munghati kwala neilinghoha khunji pulwale ludwaado.

For indeed when we had come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.

6 Pulieno Unghuluve unyakhutunchesya tweilunsunsuvile atunchesinche pakhwincha kwa Tito.

But God, that comforteth those who are brought low, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

7 Sakhukhuta Unghuluve atunchesincha pakhwincha khwa Tito nukhwanghanila nave pa leino yale nalulunchesyo ulu u Tito alipeilile ukhuhuma khulyumwe, umwene aluvwene ulunghano lweinyu uluvaha ulumwale nalwo khumwene, ulunsunsuvalo lweinyu nukhunghimba kweinyo savuli yango. Pu lieno neivile nuluhekhelo ukhuluteila.

and not by his coming only, but by the comfort with which he was comforted in regard to you, when he told us of your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal in my behalf; so that I rejoiced the more.

8 Na pu yeingave eikalata yango yavapeliile ukhusisunsuvala, une pasanivavwa pa eilyo. puni vavwa pala upunivona eikalata eila yeikhavaveikha umwe nulunsunsuvalo. pope mwale nulunsansuvalo paseikhe udebe vuvule.

For though I caused you sorrow with the letter, I do not regret it, though I did regret it; for I perceive that that letter caused you sorrow, though it was but for a short time.

9 Leino neileu nuluhekhelo, saneilei nuluhekhelo savuli mwale nuvupala, pu leino ulwakhuva ulunsunsuvalo lweinyo lwavanghenghile mukhupela inongwa imbivi. Mwakavile ulunsunsuvalo ulwa khe iNguluve, pu leino samwankuveilwe pavuvule savuli yeilo.

Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorrowful, but that your sorrow produced repentance. For the sorrow which ye felt had respect to God, that ye might in nothing receive injury from me.

10 Ulwakhuva ulunsunsuvalo ulwakhei Nguluve lwinghengha ulwa khei Nguluve lwinghengha ukhupela inongwa. Nukhukava uvoupokhi pakhusita ukhuva nulunsunsuvalo lwa nkeilunga pu leino lwingheingha uvufwe.

For sorrow before God worketh repentance to salvation never to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

11 Mulolanghe ulunsunsuvalo ulu ulwa khei Nghuluve lwaholile masangho makhi munghati ndyumwe. Nuvulamunchi vwa masangho ngheinyo vwale ndakheikhi pakhivonia ukhuta samwale nuvunangi. Pu ulusunsuvalo ulwa luvavo lweinyo, pulwale luvaha ndakheikhi uvudwadwa uvumwadwadangha, uvunonghwe vweinyo nuvounsukhwa vweinyo ukhuta uvwayeilweli vulondivwa ukhuvombekha! Mu mbombo nchooni pumweivonisye yumwe ukhuta sandeivanangi.

For behold this very thing, that your sorrow had respect to God; what earnestness it wrought in you; yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what longing desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what readiness to punish! In every thing ye showed yourselves to be pure in the matter.

12 Na pu yeingave niavasimbile umwe, syaniasimbe savuli yatulanongwa hange savuli yaula uveiakuvilwe mbutula nongwa. Neivasimbile ukhuta ukhweihumya khwa numbula nchienyo savali yeito yeipele ukhumanyeikheikha khweinyo pamiho ngha Nguluve.

Although, then, I wrote to you, it was not on account of him that did the wrong, nor of him who suffered wrong; but that your earnestness for us might be made manifest to you in the sight of God.

13 Savuli yaeiyei ukhuta tunchesivwa. Na ndunchesyo lweinyo putuleikhuhakhela, ukhuluteileila savuli ya Tito, pakhuva einumbula ya mwene yeihovosiwa numwe mweivooni.

Therefore we have been comforted; but in our comfort we rejoiced still more on account of the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all;

14 Pu leino neingave nia einghinche khumwene mundimenyu eilyavenchangha savuli yeinyo saniakonchivwe isoni. Pu leino ndumulwavavulile eilimenyu eilwutwanchovile khulyumwe lwale lya yeilweli, Ulweinghinwo lweito ukhukongana numwe khwa Tito yevonesya ukhuta lweli.

for if in anything I have boasted to him of you, I am not put to shame; but as we spoke all things to you in truth, so also our boasting, which we made before Titus, was found to be truth;

15 Ulunghano lwa mwene savuli yeinyo pu avile imbaha ukhuluteileila, eingave munkumbukha uvweiseikhi vweinyo pakhuvomba, umumwamwambeilile umwene mbudwadwa nukhumweimeikha.

and his affection is more abundant toward you, while he remembers the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.

16 Nihovokha ulwakhuva mumenyu nghooni neilenei numbula eingifu inghati ndyumwe.

I rejoice that in every thing I have confidence in you.
