Filipenses 2
1 We ri Cristo uyaꞌom ichuqꞌabꞌ rech kiꞌtaqchiꞌj nikꞌaj chik, xuqujeꞌ we ri iloqꞌanik kixutaqchiꞌj chukubꞌisaxik kikꞌuꞌx nikꞌaj chik, xuqujeꞌ we iwonojel xa jun Uxlabꞌal ixukꞌaꞌninaq xuqujeꞌ we kel ikꞌuꞌx chike nikꞌaj chik,
If there is therefore any comfort in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassions,
2 chininojisaj che kiꞌkotemal, chijunamaj ikꞌuꞌx, chijunamaj ri iloqꞌanik, xuqujeꞌ chijunamaj ri iwanimaꞌ xuqujeꞌ ri ichomabꞌal.
fulfill ye my joy, that ye be of the same mind, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;
3 Mibꞌan jun jastaq rukꞌ nimal o xa rumal kiwaj kitzukuj chꞌoꞌj, xane chibꞌana rukꞌ mochꞌochꞌem, chiꞌwilaꞌ chi are e nimaꞌq ri nikꞌaj chik chiꞌwach.
[doing] nothing through faction or through vainglory, but in lowliness of mind each counting other better than himself;
4 Man xwi ta kiwilij ri jastaq ri kajawataj chiꞌwe ix pa ijujunal, xane chiwila xuqujeꞌ ri kirajawaxik ri nikꞌaj chik.
not looking each of you to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.
5 Ri inoꞌjibꞌal rajawaxik je kuxik jetaq ri rech ri Cristo Jesús,
Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 ri areꞌ, pune are Dios, man xukoj ta uchuqꞌabꞌ chubꞌixik chi tzi are wi Dios.
who, being in the form of God, counted it not a prize to be on an equality with God,
7 Xane xubꞌan nitzꞌ chibꞌil ribꞌ jeꞌ jas jun ajchak, xalax pa ri uwachulew jetaq jun winaq, xuqujeꞌ xubꞌan achi chibꞌil ribꞌ.
but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men;
8 Are xubꞌan achi chibꞌil ribꞌ, xumochꞌ ribꞌ, xnimanik xeꞌ kꞌa pa ri kamikal, kamikal cho ri ripbꞌal.
and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient [even] unto death, yea, the death of the cross.
9 Rumal riꞌ, ri Dios xuya nimalaj uqꞌij, xuya ri bꞌiꞌaj che puꞌwiꞌ ronojel bꞌiꞌaj.
Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave unto him the name which is above every name;
10 Rech jeriꞌ kakimej kichꞌek choch konojel ri e kꞌo pa ri kaj, ri e kꞌo choch ri uwachulew xuqujeꞌ ri e kꞌo chuxeꞌ ri uwachulew.
that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven and [things] on earth and [things] under the earth,
11 Xuqujeꞌ rech konojel kakiqꞌalajisaj rukꞌ ri kichiꞌ chi are ri Jesucristo Ajawxel rech jeriꞌ kayaꞌtaj uqꞌij ri Dios Tataxel.
and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 Xaq jeriꞌ, loqꞌalaj taq qachalal, rumal cher amaqꞌel kixniman chwe, man xwi ta are in kꞌo iwukꞌ, xane are man in kꞌo ta iwukꞌ, chiwukꞌaj ri ikolotajem rukꞌ mochꞌoj ibꞌ xuqujeꞌ rukꞌ nimanik.
So then, my beloved, even as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
13 Jeriꞌ rumal cher are ri Dios kabꞌanow chiꞌwe chi kixnimanik xuqujeꞌ kiwaj kibꞌan ronojel ri jastaq rech kibꞌano ri urayibꞌal ukꞌuꞌx.
for it is God which worketh in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.
14 Chibꞌana ri jastaq man rukꞌ ta chꞌaoj ibꞌ xuqujeꞌ man rukꞌ ta oyawal.
Do all things without murmurings and disputings;
15 Jeriꞌ qas ixchꞌajchꞌoj man kꞌo ta imak, rumal cher ix, ix ralkꞌwaꞌl ri Dios, ri ix kꞌo chikixoꞌl ri winaq ri aꞌjmakibꞌ, ri man kꞌyaqal taj kechomanik. Ix kꞌo chikixoꞌl we winaq riꞌ, jetaq ri chꞌumil ri kachuplinik cho ri kaj.
that ye may be blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye are seen as lights in the world,
16 Are chiwilij uqꞌalajisaxik ri tzij rech kꞌaslemal. Rech jeriꞌ are kuriq ri upetibꞌal ri Cristo, kakiꞌkot na kꞌuꞌx are kinwetaꞌmaj chi man xaq ta xintzaq ri nuchuqꞌabꞌ, xuqujeꞌ man xaq ta xinchakun chi jeriꞌ.
holding forth the word of life; that I may have whereof to glory in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain neither labour in vain.
17 Pune kesax na ri nukꞌaslemal xuqujeꞌ katzuj na jetaq jun sipanik xa rumal ri ikojobꞌal, kinkiꞌkotik na riꞌ xuqujeꞌ kawaj chi kixkiꞌkot na ix wukꞌ.
Yea, and if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all:
18 Ix xuqujeꞌ, chixkiꞌkotoq, xuqujeꞌ chiya we ri ikiꞌkotemal.
and in the same manner do ye also joy, and rejoice with me.
19 Kinwayeꞌj che ri Ajawxel Jesús kinkwinik kintaq bꞌik ri Timoteo iwukꞌ rech jeriꞌ kinkꞌamawaꞌj nuchuqꞌabꞌ are kinwetaꞌmaj jas jeꞌ ibꞌanom.
But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
20 Ri Timoteo sibꞌalaj kꞌax ukꞌuꞌx chiꞌwe, rumal cher kixuloqꞌaj jetaq ri kinbꞌan in.
For I have no man likeminded, who will care truly for your state.
21 Konojel ri nikꞌaj xaq are kakilij ri jastaq ri kajawataj chike, man are ta kakilij ri karaj ri Jesucristo.
For they all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.
22 Ix iwetaꞌm uwach ri Timoteo, sibꞌalaj utz ri kanoꞌjinik, ubꞌanom ri patanijik wukꞌ chuqꞌalajisaxik ri utz laj tzij, je ri kꞌo jun alkꞌwaꞌlaxel ri sibꞌalaj utz kanoꞌjinik che ri utat.
But ye know the proof of him, that, as a child [serveth] a father, [so] he served with me in furtherance of the gospel.
23 Kawaj kꞌut kintaq bꞌik aninaq iwukꞌ, xwi wayeꞌm kinwetaꞌmaj jas kakꞌulmataj wukꞌ.
Him therefore I hope to send forthwith, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me:
24 Kuꞌl na kꞌuꞌx chirij ri Ajawxel chi kineꞌ xuqujeꞌ na in, kixeꞌnwilaꞌ.
but I trust in the Lord that I myself also shall come shortly.
25 Xuqujeꞌ xinchomaj chi utz kubꞌan chiꞌwe we kintaq bꞌik ri Epafrodito iwukꞌ, areꞌ jun alaxik xuqujeꞌ jun tobꞌanel, wachiꞌl pa taq ri nuchꞌoꞌj, are waꞌ ri xitaq loq chinupatanixik.
But I counted it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fellow-worker and fellow-soldier, and your messenger and minister to my need;
26 Ri Epafrodito sibꞌalaj kixubꞌisoj xuqujeꞌ kꞌax ranimaꞌ chiꞌwe xiwetaꞌmaj waꞌ chi yawabꞌ.
since he longed after you all, and was sore troubled, because ye had heard that he was sick:
27 Qas ne tzij wi xyawajik, jubꞌiqꞌ xraj xkamik. Ri Dios kꞌut xel ukꞌuꞌx che, man xwi taj xel ukꞌuꞌx che areꞌ xane xel xuqujeꞌ ukꞌuꞌx chwe in, rech jeriꞌ man xnimataj ta ri nubꞌis.
for indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow.
28 Rumal riꞌ kintaq chi bꞌi iwukꞌ rech kixkiꞌkot chi junmul we chiwil uwach, rech xuqujeꞌ man kakꞌaxir ta chi wanimaꞌ in.
I have sent him therefore the more diligently, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
29 Chikꞌamawaꞌj pa ri Ajawxel, rukꞌ kiꞌkotemal xuqujeꞌ nim chiꞌwila ri je kenoꞌjinik jetaq ri areꞌ.
Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy; and hold such in honour:
30 Jeriꞌ rumal jubꞌiqꞌ xraj xkamik rumal ri uchak ri Cristo, xuya ri ukꞌaslemal rech xubꞌan ri patanijik ri man xixkwin ta ix xibꞌano.
because for the work of Christ he came nigh unto death, hazarding his life to supply that which was lacking in your service toward me.
