Marcos 7
1 Ri fariseos e kachiꞌl ri aꞌjtijabꞌ rech ri taqanik ri kipetik pa Jerusalén xkimulij kibꞌ chrij ri Jesús.
And ye pharises came togedder vnto him and dyvers of ye scribes which came from Ierusalem.
2 Xkilo chi ri tijoxelabꞌ man xkichꞌaj taj ri kiqꞌabꞌ jetaq ri kinaqꞌatajibꞌal, are xewaꞌik.
And whe they sawe certayne of his disciples eate breed wt comen hondes (that is to saye wt vnwesshen hondes) they coplayned.
3 Are kꞌu ri fariseos xuqujeꞌ ri winaq aꞌj Israel jeꞌ kakibꞌan chuchꞌajik kiqꞌabꞌ jetaq ri kubꞌij ri naqꞌatajibꞌal kech ri e riꞌjabꞌ taq winaq.
For the pharises and all the Iewes excepte they washe their hondes ofte eate not observinge the tradicions of the elders.
4 Are ketzalij loq pa ri kꞌayibꞌal kakichꞌaj nabꞌe ri kiqꞌabꞌ we kakitij jun jastaq. Xuqujeꞌ kakichꞌaj ri qumubꞌal, ri xaruꞌ xuqujeꞌ ri palaꞌt ri e bꞌantal che chꞌichꞌ.
And whe they come from the market except they washe they eate not. And many other thinges ther be which they have taken apon them to observe as the wasshinge of cuppes and cruses and of brasen vessels and of tables.
5 Rumal riꞌ, ri fariseos e kachiꞌl ri aꞌjtijabꞌ rech ri taqanik xkita che ri Jesús: ¿Jas che man kakinimaj ta le atijoxelabꞌ ri kubꞌij ri naqꞌatajibꞌal ke ri nimaꞌq taq winaq, man kakichꞌaj ta le kiqꞌabꞌ are kewaꞌik?
Then axed him the pharises and sribes why walke not thy disciples accordinge to ye tradicions of the elders but eate breede with vnweshen hondes?
6 Ri Jesús xubꞌij chike: Qas tzij ri xubꞌij ri Isaías are xutzꞌibꞌaj: We tinimit riꞌ xaq che uchiꞌ kubꞌij chi kinuqꞌijilaꞌj, ri ranimaꞌ naj kꞌo wi chwe.
He answered and sayde vnto them: well prophesied Esaias of you ypocrites as it is writte: This people honoreth me with their lyppes but their hert is farre from me:
7 Maj kutayij kinkiqꞌijilaꞌj, ri kikꞌutuꞌn xaq kech achyabꞌ.
In vayne they worshippe me teachinge doctryns which are nothinge but ye comaundementes of men.
8 Ri ix iwetzelam ri utaqanik ri Dios, are kꞌu tajin kinimaj ri kitaqanik ri achyabꞌ.
For ye laye the commaundement of God aparte and observe the tradicions of men as the wesshinge of cruses and of cuppes and many other suche lyke thinges ye do.
9 Kꞌa te riꞌ xubꞌij: Jeꞌl kibꞌan chunimaxik ri inaqꞌatajibꞌal, are ijelechꞌum kanoq iwibꞌ chunimaxik ri utaqanik ri Dios.
And he sayde vnto them: well ye cast asyde the comaundement of God to mayntayne youre owne tradicios.
10 Chiwilampeꞌ, ri Moisés xubꞌij: Nim chiꞌwila ri itat inan, ri winaq ri keꞌretzelaj ri utat unan kakamisax na.
For Moses sayde: Honoure thy father and thy mother: and whosoever cursseth father or mother let him dye for it.
11 Ri ikꞌutuꞌn ix kubꞌij chi ri alkꞌwaꞌlaxel kuyaꞌo kubꞌij chike ri utat unan: “Ri tobꞌanik ri kawaj xinya che alaq xinya che ri Dios.”
But ye saye: a man shall saye to father or mother Corban: which is: that thou desyrest of me to helpe the with is geven God.
12 We jeriꞌ kubꞌij ri alkꞌwaꞌlaxel man kakwin ta chi riꞌ kuꞌtoꞌ ri utat unan.
And so ye soffre him no more to do ought for his father or his mother
13 Jeriꞌ kakꞌulmataj iwukꞌ ix rumal ri naqꞌatajibꞌal ri kikꞌutu, man kinimaj ta chik ri utzij ri Dios, kꞌi jastaq jetaq we riꞌ kibꞌano.
makinge the worde of God of none effecte through youre awne tradicions which ye have ordeyned. And many soche thinges ye do.
14 Junmul chik ri Jesús xuꞌsikꞌij ri winaq, xubꞌij chike: Chinitatabꞌej iwonojel xuqujeꞌ chichꞌobꞌo we riꞌ:
And he called all the people vnto him and sayde vnto them: Herken vnto me every one of you and vnderstonde.
15 Man are ta kachꞌulujisan ri winaq ri jastaq ri kutijo xane are kachꞌulujisan ri etzelal ri kel loq pa ranimaꞌ.
There is no thinge with out a man that can defyle him when it entreth into him: but thoo thinges which procede out of him are those which defyle ye man.
16 Ri Jesús xubꞌij: Qas chichomaj rij we tzij riꞌ we xinbꞌij chiꞌwe.
If eny man have eares to heare let him heare
17 Are xtoꞌtaj chubꞌixik we riꞌ, xel bꞌik kukꞌ ri winaq, xok bꞌik pa ri ja, ri utijoxelabꞌ xkita che jas kel kubꞌij chomanik ri xubꞌij.
And whe he came to house awaye fro the people his disciples axed him of the similitude.
18 Ri Jesús xubꞌij chike: ¿Man kichomaj ta xuqujeꞌ ne lo ix ri kinbꞌij? ¿La man kichomaj chi maj jun jastaq ri kutij ri winaq kakwin chuchꞌulujisaxik?
And he sayd vnto the: Are ye so without vnderstondinge? Do ye not yet perceave yt whatsoever thinge from wt out entreth into a man it can not defyle him
19 Rumal cher man pa ri ranimaꞌ taj keꞌ wi ri kutijo xane chupam, kꞌa te riꞌ kuꞌchuluj kanoq. Rukꞌ we riꞌ ri Jesús xubꞌij chi ronojel ri jastaq tijowik rij, chꞌajchꞌoj.
because it entrith not in to his hert but into ye belly: and goeth out into the draught that porgeth oute all meates.
20 Xuqujeꞌ xubꞌij: Are kachꞌulujisan ri kel loq che ri winaq.
And he sayde: yt defileth a ma which cometh oute of a man.
21 Pa ri ranimaꞌ ri winaq kape wi ri itzel taq chomanik, qꞌoyolem kukꞌ taq achyabꞌ xuqujeꞌ kukꞌ taq ixoqibꞌ, ri kamisanik, ri utzukuxik e kebꞌ ixoqibꞌ.
For fro wt in even oute of the herte of men proceade evill thoughtes: advantry fornicacion murder
22 Ri jiqꞌjatik, ri etzelal, ri subꞌunik, ri ubꞌanik etzelal maj uqꞌatexik, ri kꞌax ri kunaꞌ chi jun chirij jun rech winaq, ri bꞌanoj tzij, ri nimal, xuqujeꞌ are man kuya ta ribꞌ ri winaq pa sukꞌumaxik.
theeft coveteousnes wickednes diceyte vnclennes and a wicked eye blasphemy pryde folysshnes:
23 Ronojel we etzelal riꞌ pa ranimaꞌ ri winaq kape wi, are waꞌ ri kachꞌulujin ri ranimaꞌ ri winaq.
all these evyll thinges come from with in and defile a man.
24 Xel bꞌik ri Jesús chilaꞌ, xeꞌ pa jun leꞌaj ri kꞌo pa ri tinimit Tiro rachiꞌl Sidón. Xok bꞌik pa jun ja, are xraj maj jun ketaꞌmanik jawjeꞌ kꞌo wi, man xkwin ta kꞌut rawaj ribꞌ.
And from thence he rose and went into ye borders of Tyre and Sidon and entred into an housse and wolde that no man shnld have knowen: But he coulde not be hyd.
25 Kꞌo jun ixoq aninaq xretaꞌmaj chi xopan ri Jesús chilaꞌ. Ri ixoq kꞌo jun ral ali, kꞌo jun itzel uxlabꞌal che, xopanik xeꞌxukul cho ri Jesús.
For a certayne woma whose doughter had a foule sprete hearde of him and came and fell at his fete.
26 Ri ixoq aj Fenicia rech ri tinimit Siria xuta toqꞌobꞌ che ri Jesús rech kakunax ri ral.
The woman was a Greke oute of Syrophenicia and she besought him yt he wolde caste out ye devyll oute of her doughter.
27 Ri Jesús xubꞌij che: Nabꞌe chaya bꞌe chike ri alkꞌwaꞌlaxelabꞌ kewaꞌik, rumal man kuya taj kamaj ri kiwa ri alkꞌwaꞌlaxelabꞌ kakꞌyaq chkiwach ri tzꞌiꞌ.
And Iesus sayde vnto her: let the chyldren fyrst be feed. For it is not mete to take the chyldres breed and to caste it vnto whelppes.
28 Ri ixoq xubꞌij: Jeꞌ tat, ri tzꞌiꞌ kakitij xuqujeꞌ ri uxeꞌr taq kiwa ri alkꞌwaꞌlaxelabꞌ ri katzaq chuxeꞌ ri mexa.
She answered and sayde vnto him: even soo master neverthelesse the whelppes also eate vnder the table of the chyldrens cromes.
29 Ri Jesús xubꞌij che: Rumal jeriꞌ xabꞌan chutzalixik uwach ri xinbꞌij chawe, ri itzel xel bꞌik che ri awal. Jat pa jororemal.
And he sayde vnto her: for this sayinge goo thy waye the devyll is gone out of thy doughter.
30 Are xopanik ri ixoq cho rachoch, xuꞌriqa ri akꞌal qꞌoyol pa ri uchꞌat. Elinaq chi bꞌik ri itzel uxlabꞌal che.
And when she was come home to her housse she founde the devyll departed and her doughter lyinge on the beed.
31 Xel loq ri Jesús pa ri tinimit Tiro, xeꞌ pa Sidón chuxukut ri plo pa Galilea, xkanaj kanoq pa ri tinimit Decápolis.
And he departed agayne from the coostes of Tyre and Sidon and came vnto the see of Galile thorowe ye middes of the coostos of ye. x. cities.
32 Ri Jesús are kꞌo chilaꞌ, xkikꞌam bꞌik jun achi rukꞌ katakꞌtoꞌman kachꞌawik, xkita toqꞌobꞌ che kuya ri uqꞌabꞌ puꞌwiꞌ.
And they brought vnto him one yt was deffe and stambred in his speche and prayde him to laye his honde apon him.
33 Ri Jesús xukꞌam bꞌik ri achi utukel, xujut ri uwiꞌ uqꞌabꞌ pa ri uxikin, kꞌa te riꞌ xukoj uchubꞌ cho ri raqꞌ.
And he toke him asyde from ye people and put his fyngers in his eares and dyd spyt and touched his tounge
34 Kꞌa te riꞌ xkaꞌyik cho ri kaj, xujiqꞌaj nim kyaqiqꞌ, kꞌa te riꞌ xubꞌij che ri achi: ¡Efatá! ri kel kubꞌij ¡Chatjaqatajoq!
and loked vp to heven and sygthed and sayde vnto him: ephatha that is to saye be openned.
35 Rukꞌ we riꞌ xjaqataj ri uxikin ri achi xuqujeꞌ xjaqataj ri uchꞌabꞌal, xuchapleꞌj chꞌawem jetaq kachꞌaw jun utz winaq.
And streyght waye his eares were openned and the stringe of his tounge was loosed and he spake playne.
36 Ri Jesús xubꞌij chike ri winaq chi man kuya taj kakitzijoj ri xkꞌulmatajik, pune xuꞌpixibꞌaj, ri winaq rukꞌ chuqꞌabꞌ xkitzijoj ri xkꞌulmatajik.
And he comaunded them that they shuld tell no man. But the more he forbad them soo moche the more a greate deale they publesshed it:
37 Ri winaq sibꞌalaj xemayijanik, xkibꞌij: Utz kubꞌan chubꞌanik taq le jastaq, kuꞌkunaj ri e tꞌoꞌyabꞌ xuqujeꞌ kuya kichꞌabꞌal ri e memabꞌ.
and were beyonde measure astonyed sayinge: He hath done all thinges well and hath made booth the deffe to heare and the dome to speake.
