Hebreos 8

1 Kamik kꞌut ri qas ukꞌuꞌx ri tajin kaqabꞌij loq are chi kꞌo chik qukꞌ ri kinimal ri e chꞌawenelabꞌ cho ri Dios, are waꞌ ri xtꞌuyiꞌk pa uwiqiqꞌabꞌ ri utꞌuyulibꞌal ri Dios.

NOW the summary of the things spoken is this: we have such an high-priest, who hath taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of Majesty in the heavens;

2 Are waꞌ ri kinimal chꞌawenelabꞌ ri kapatanijik pa ri Tyoxalaj kꞌolibꞌal, are wa ri qas tzij Tabernáculo ri utz kukꞌaꞌxik ri man achi taj yakowinaq.

a minister of the holies, and of the true tabernacle which the Lord hath pitched, and not man.

3 Rumal cher kojonel ri e kinimaꞌqil ri e chꞌawenelabꞌ cho ri Dios, yaꞌtal bꞌe chike kakitzuj sipanik, tzi choqꞌaqꞌ wi chi kꞌo kutzuj che sipanik.

For every high-priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is necessary that this person also have somewhat to offer.

4 We ta kꞌo ri Jesús cho ri uwachulew, mat bꞌa chꞌawenel riꞌ cho ri Dios jeriꞌ rumal e kꞌo chi chꞌawenelabꞌ cho ri Dios ri kakitzuj ri sipanik jetaq ri kubꞌij ri utaqanik ri Moisés.

For if he were on earth, he would not be a priest, there being priests who offer gifts according to the law;

5 We chꞌawenelabꞌ cho ri Dios ri kepatanijik pa ri Tyoxalaj kꞌolibꞌal xaq esal uwach ri kape na, jacha ri xubꞌij loq ri Moisés are jubꞌiqꞌ karaj kuyak ri qꞌijilaꞌbꞌal Dios ri utz kukꞌaꞌx kumal achyabꞌ, ri Dios xubꞌij che ri Moisés: Qas naꞌtaj chawe je kabꞌan che jetaq ri xinkꞌut chawach puꞌwiꞌ le juyubꞌ.

who perform the service after the figure and shadow of things in the heavens, as Moses was divinely instructed, when he was about to finish the tabernacle. “For see,” saith God, “that thou make all things according to the model shewed thee on the mount.”

6 Are kꞌu ri chak ri xuya ri Dios che ri Jesucristo rumal Areꞌ kinimaꞌqil ri e chꞌawenelabꞌ cho ri Dios, sibꞌalaj kꞌo na chikiwach nikꞌaj chik, rumal rech areꞌ kꞌo jun chꞌekom tzij ri jeꞌl na cho ronojel rumal cher pa Dios yaꞌtal chaqe jun jeꞌl laj chiꞌnik.

But now hath Christ obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as he is the mediator of a better covenant, which hath been established on better promises.

7 Qas tzij wi, we ta ri nabꞌe chꞌekom tzij tzꞌaqat, mat xya chi riꞌ jun ukabꞌ chꞌekom tzij.

For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no place sought for a second.

8 Are kꞌu ri Dios, are xrilo chi man kaniman ta ri tinimit jetaq ri karaj Areꞌ xubꞌij: Kape na ri qꞌij are kinbꞌan na jun kꞌakꞌ chꞌekom tzij rukꞌ ri tinimit Israel xuqujeꞌ rukꞌ ri tinimit Judá.

For finding fault with them, he saith, “Behold, the days are coming, saith the Lord; and I will accomplish for the house of Israel and for the house of Judah a new covenant:

9 Man kajunumataj taj rukꞌ ri chꞌekom tzij ri xinbꞌan kukꞌ ri itat inan ojer, are xeꞌnwesaj loq pa Egipto xeꞌntzuyej loq, rumal kꞌu che ri man xejeqiꞌ taj pa ri chꞌekom tzij, man xel ta chi na kꞌuꞌx chike.

not according to that covenant which I made with their fathers, in the day when I laid hold upon their hand to lead them up out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I took no longer care of them, saith the Lord.

10 Rumal kꞌu riꞌ kinbꞌan chi na jun chꞌekom tzij kukꞌ ri tinimit Israel: “Kinya na ri nutaqanik pa ri kichomabꞌal xuqujeꞌ kintzꞌibꞌaj na pa ri kanimaꞌ. In kinux na kiDios xuqujeꞌ aꞌreꞌ kuꞌx na e nutinimit.”

For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; giving my laws to their understanding, even on their hearts will I inscribe them: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.

11 Pa ri qꞌij riꞌ man choqꞌaqꞌ ta chik chi jun kuya kꞌutuꞌn che ri ukꞌulja xuqujeꞌ man kꞌo ta jun ri kubꞌij che ri rachalal: “Chawetaꞌmaj uwach ri Ajawxel, rumal cher konojel kaketaꞌmaj na nuwach kachapleꞌtaj la rukꞌ ri nitzꞌ akꞌal kꞌa rukꞌ ri nim winaq.

And they shall no more teach every man his neighbour, and every one his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me from the mean man of them unto the great among them.

12 Kinkuy na ri ketzelal xuqujeꞌ man kanaꞌtaj ta chi wi chwe ri kimak”.

For I will be placable to their unrighteousnesses and their sins, and their iniquities I will never more remember.”

13 Ri Dios are xubꞌij kꞌakꞌ che we chꞌekom tzij riꞌ, xubꞌij chi man kꞌo ta chi kutayij ri jun ri xikꞌow kanoq rumal qꞌeꞌl chik xuqujeꞌ jubꞌiqꞌ karaj kasach uwach.

In calling it a new covenant, he hath made the first antiquated. Now what is antiquated and grown aged, is near evanescence.
