< Hebreos 3 >
1 Xaq jeriꞌ qachalal, ix ri ix tyoxirisatal chik xuqujeꞌ kꞌo iwe che ri sikꞌinik rech chilaꞌ chikaj, chiwilaꞌ ri Jesús, areꞌ are qꞌalajisal tzij xuqujeꞌ kinimaꞌqil ri chꞌawenelabꞌ cho ri Dios, are kꞌamowinaq qabꞌe pa ri qakojobꞌal.
Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, set your focus on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess.
2 Ri Cristo Jesús sibꞌalaj sukꞌ, rumal cher xubꞌano ri xbꞌix che, jetaq ri Moisés xnimanik che ri xbꞌix che rumal ri Dios kubꞌano.
He was faithful to the One who appointed Him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house.
3 Qas tzij wi, ri Jesús nim na uqꞌij cho ri Moisés, jacha ta ne ri yakal rech ri jun ja, are nim uqꞌij cho ri ja.
For Jesus has been counted worthy of greater glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself.
4 Jeriꞌ rumal cher ronojel ja kꞌo jun yakal rech, are kꞌu ri tikowinaq ronojel ri jastaq are ri Dios.
And every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
5 Ri Moisés qas xunimaj wi ri Dios che ronojel ri xtaq wi, rech jeriꞌ kakoj na che jun kꞌutbꞌal rumal ri kakꞌulmataj na.
Now Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house, testifying to what would be spoken later.
6 Are kꞌu ri Cristo, ukꞌojol ri Dios are kabꞌan rech puꞌwiꞌ ri ja, uj riꞌ ri ja riꞌ, rech jeriꞌ kajeqiꞌk xuqujeꞌ kakubꞌiꞌ qakꞌuꞌx chirij ri kubꞌan chaqe kaqanaꞌ nimal.
But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are His house, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope of which we boast.
7 Rumal riꞌ jetaq ri kubꞌij ri Tyoxalaj Uxlabꞌixel: We kita ri uchꞌabꞌal,
Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you hear His voice,
8 mikowirisaj ri iwanimaꞌ jetaq ri xkꞌulmatajik are man xeniman taj ri nikꞌaj winaq aꞌj Israel, pa ri ulew ri katzꞌinowik.
do not harden your hearts, as you did in the rebellion, in the day of testing in the wilderness,
9 Ri itat inan xinkikꞌululaj xuqujeꞌ are xkaj xinbꞌan jastaq chikiwach pune kawinaq junabꞌ xkil ri nuchak.
where your fathers tested and tried Me, and for forty years saw My works.
10 Rumal riꞌ xinyojtajik kukꞌ ri winaq riꞌ, xinbꞌij: “Man qas ta jeqel ri kanimaꞌ chwij xuqujeꞌ xketzelaj ri xinbꞌij chike.”
Therefore I was angry with that generation, and I said, ‘Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known My ways.’
11 Rumal riꞌ xinbꞌij rukꞌ woyawal chi man koꞌk ta wi pa ri wuxlanem.
So I swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’”
12 Qachalal, chichajij iwibꞌ, rech man kꞌo ta jun chiꞌwe kanoj ri ranimaꞌ che mak xuqujeꞌ xaq kakabꞌalaj ukꞌuꞌx rech man kel ta kanoq chirij ri kꞌaslik Dios.
See to it, brothers, that none of you has a wicked heart of unbelief that turns away from the living God.
13 Xane rumal che ri kꞌo na ri qꞌotaj chitaqchiꞌla iwibꞌ ronojel qꞌij rech man kꞌo ta jun chiꞌwe kakowir kanoq rumal ri subꞌunik ri kubꞌan ri makaj.
But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
14 Xyaꞌtaj kꞌu ri qechabꞌal junam rukꞌ ri Cristo, rech jeriꞌ kakubꞌiꞌ na qakꞌuꞌx chirij Areꞌ kꞌa pa ri kꞌisbꞌal rech jacha ri xqamajij loq.
We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly to the end the assurance we had at first.
15 Jetaq ri xbꞌiꞌtaj chiꞌwe: We kitatabꞌej ri uchꞌabꞌal kamik, makikowirisaj ta ri iwanimaꞌ jetaq ri xkꞌulmatajik are man xeniman taj ri nikꞌaj winaq aꞌj Israel.
As it has been said: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as you did in the rebellion.”
16 Kamik kꞌut ¿jachin kꞌu riꞌ ri winaq ri xkito kꞌa te riꞌ man xeniman taj? ¿La man kꞌu are ri nikꞌaj winaq aꞌj Israel ri xeꞌl loq je laꞌ pa Egipto ri xkꞌam kꞌibꞌe rumal ri Moisés?
For who were the ones who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt?
17 ¿Jachin kꞌu kukꞌ riꞌ ri xyojtaj wi ri Dios kawinaq junabꞌ? ¿La man kꞌu kukꞌ ri winaq ri xemakunik, ri xekam pa ri ulew ri katzꞌinowik?
And with whom was God angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
18 ¿La man kꞌu chike we winaq riꞌ xbꞌix wi chi koꞌk pa ri uxlanem, xa kꞌu man xeniman taj?
And to whom did He swear that they would never enter His rest? Was it not to those who disobeyed?
19 Kaqilo chi man xekwin taj xoꞌkik pa ri uxlanem pa ri tinimit Canaán rumal cher man xkikoj ta ri xbꞌix chike.
So we see that it was because of their unbelief that they were unable to enter.
