Efesios 6
1 Alkꞌwaꞌlaxelabꞌ, chiꞌnimaj ri itat inan, pa ri Ajawxel, are waꞌ ri sukꞌ ubꞌanik.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Chaꞌnimaj ri atat anan, are waꞌ ri nabꞌe taqanik ri kꞌo tewechibꞌal chiꞌtal loq rukꞌ,
Honor thy father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise)
3 rech utz katelik, xuqujeꞌ kakiꞌkotebꞌej naj kꞌaslemal cho ri uwachulew.
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4 Xuqujeꞌ ri ix, tat nan, man xaq ta kiyak koyawal ri iꞌwalkꞌwaꞌl, xane chiꞌkꞌiyisaj xuqujeꞌ chiꞌpixabꞌaj pa ri utzij ri Ajawxel.
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5 Ri ix, ajchakibꞌ, chiꞌnimaj ri ajchoqꞌe chak rech uwachulew rukꞌ mochꞌochꞌem, rukꞌ sukꞌal rech ri iwanimaꞌ jacha kibꞌan che ri Cristo.
Servants, be obedient to them that are [your] masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ;
6 Man xwi ta kiꞌnimaj are tajin kixkikaꞌyej kixchakunik, jacha ri kakibꞌan ri winaq ri xwi kakaj keqaj chikiwach ri winaq, xane je chixnoꞌjinoq ajchakibꞌ rech ri Cristo, chibꞌana ronojel ri jastaq ri karaj ri Dios.
Not with eye-service, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7 Chixpatanijoq rukꞌ ronojel iwanimaꞌ, iwetaꞌm chi are kipatanij ri Dios man are ta ri winaq.
With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8 Iwetaꞌm chi ri Dios kutoj na ukꞌaxelal chiꞌwe pa ijujunal rumal ri utzilal ri kibꞌano we ix ajchakibꞌ o wine ix patrón.
Knowing that whatever good thing any man doeth, the same will he receive from the Lord, whether [he be] bond or free.
9 Ri ix xuqujeꞌ, ri ix patrón, utz chibꞌana chike ri iwajchakibꞌ, man xaq ta kꞌax kibꞌan chike. Naꞌtaj chiꞌwe, xa jun iwajaw kꞌo pa ri kaj, ri Areꞌ man xaq ta kꞌyaqal ri kuꞌchao.
And, ye masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
10 Kꞌisbꞌal rech kinbꞌij chiꞌwe, chikꞌamawaꞌj ichuqꞌabꞌ pa ri ukwinem ri Ajawxel.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Chikojo ri chꞌoꞌjibꞌal ri uyaꞌom ri Dios rech man kixchꞌeketaj ta rumal ri Itzel.
Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 Rumal man kukꞌ ta ri winaq kujchꞌoꞌjin wi, xane kukꞌ ri itzel taq uxlabꞌal aꞌjuwo kaj ri kebꞌin pa ri sutzꞌ, ri kꞌo taqanik pa kiqꞌabꞌ, e qꞌatal taq tzij, ri nimaq taq taqanelabꞌ, itzel taq uxlabꞌal ri ketaqan pa ri qꞌequꞌmal cho ri uwachulew. (aiōn g165)
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. (aiōn g165)
13 Rumal kꞌu riꞌ, chiwatzꞌyaqibꞌej ronojel ri chꞌoꞌjibꞌal ri xuya ri Dios, rech are kuriq ri itzel taq qꞌij, kixkwinik kitoꞌ iwibꞌ, kꞌa pa ri kꞌisbꞌal rech ri chꞌoꞌj.
Wherefore take to you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Ko bꞌa chixtakꞌaloq, chijatꞌij ri ipam rukꞌ ri qas tzij, chichꞌuqu ri uwach ikꞌuꞌx rukꞌ ri sukꞌal.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breast-plate of righteousness;
15 Chikojo che ixajabꞌ ri jaꞌmaril rech kixkwinik kitzijoj ri utz laj tzij.
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Xuqujeꞌ chiwukꞌaj ri toꞌbꞌal iwibꞌ rech kojonik, rech kixkwinik kichup ronojel ri kꞌyaqabꞌal rech qꞌaqꞌ ri kubꞌan ri Itzel.
Above all, taking the shield of faith, with which ye will be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 Chikojo ri tobꞌal ijolom rech ri kolotajem, xuqujeꞌ chiwukꞌaj ri sakꞌibꞌal rech ri Uxlabꞌixel, are ri utzij ri Dios.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Chibꞌana chꞌawem pa ri Uxlabꞌixel, chita che ri Dios ri kajawatajik xuqujeꞌ chichilibꞌej iwibꞌ che. Chixkꞌasloq xuqujeꞌ amaqꞌel chiwilij chꞌawem pa kiwiꞌ konojel ri Tyoxalaj taq winaq.
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching for this purpose with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 Chibꞌana xuqujeꞌ chꞌawem pa nuwiꞌ, rech are kinbꞌij ri utzij ri Dios, kinya ukꞌutik ri man etaꞌmatal taj chrij ri utz laj taq tzij
And for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 Rumal waꞌ we tzij ri in jatꞌital rukꞌ chꞌichꞌ, xaq jeriꞌ chibꞌana chꞌawem pa nuwiꞌ rech rukꞌ chuqꞌabꞌ qas jeꞌ kinbꞌan che uqꞌalajisaxik ri utz laj tzij jetaq ri karaj ri Dios.
For which I am an embassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
21 Ri loqꞌalaj qachachal Tíquico, sukꞌ ranimaꞌ patanil rech ri Ajawxel, kutzijoj waꞌ chiꞌwe ronojel ri tajin kakꞌulmataj wukꞌ, rech kiwetaꞌmaj, jas jeꞌ nubꞌanom.
But that ye also may know my affairs, [and] how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make known to you all things:
22 Kintaq bꞌi iwukꞌ rech kiwetaꞌmaj jas kujriqitajik xuqujeꞌ rech kayaꞌtaj ichuqꞌabꞌ are kiwil uwach.
Whom I have sent to you for the same purpose, that ye may know our affairs, and [that] he may comfort your hearts.
23 Are bꞌa ri Dios Tataxel xuqujeꞌ ri Ajawxel Jesucristo kuya jaꞌmaril, loqꞌanik xuqujeꞌ kojobꞌal chike ri e qachalal.
Peace [be] to the brethren, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Are bꞌa ri utoqꞌobꞌ ri Dios, ri man kakꞌis taj, kakanaj kukꞌ konojel ri kakiloqꞌaj ri Ajawxel Jesucristo.
Grace [be] with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
