Efesios 2

Even you, being dead to offenses and sins,

2 Che riꞌ are je xixnoꞌjinik jetaq ri karaj ri uwachulew are xibꞌan rech ri kataqan pa ri qꞌequꞌmal, jeꞌ jas ri uxlabꞌal ri kataqan pa kanimaꞌ ri winaq ri man keniman ta che ri Dios. (aiōn g165)

in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is actively at work in the sons of disobedience: (aiōn g165)

3 Qonojel je xujnoꞌjin kan nabꞌe, are xqabꞌan ri karaj ri qatyoꞌjal are xqabꞌan ri itzel taq qarayinik. Uj ralkꞌwaꞌl oyawal jetaq ri nikꞌaj winaq chik ri maj Dios kukꞌ.

among whom also we all formerly lived in the desires of our flesh, doing the will of the flesh and of the feelings, and were by nature children of wrath, even as others:

4 Ri Dios kꞌut rumal ri jeꞌlalaj utoqꞌobꞌsan wach xuqujeꞌ ri uloqꞌanik chaqe,

but God, being rich in mercy, on account of his great love with which he loved us,

5 pune uj kaminaq pa ri qamak xuya qakꞌaslemal are kaminaq junam rukꞌ ri Cristo, xa rumal ri toqꞌobꞌ xixkolotajik.

made alive with Christ even us, being dead to our offenses, (by grace you are saved, )

6 Xujukꞌastajisaj xuqujeꞌ rukꞌ Areꞌ, kꞌa te riꞌ xujutꞌuyubꞌa pa ri chikajil kꞌolibꞌal pa Cristo Jesús,

and raised us up, and made us sit together in heavenly places, in Christ Jesus;

7 rech pa ri qꞌotaj ri petinaq kukꞌut na ri ujeꞌlal ri unimal ri utoqꞌobꞌ ri xutixixej pa qawiꞌ pa Cristo Jesús. (aiōn g165)

that he might show, in the ages to come, the exceeding riches of his grace by his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. (aiōn g165)

8 Xaq pa toqꞌobꞌ xixkolotajik, rumal ri ikojobꞌal, man rukꞌ ta ichuqꞌabꞌ, xane xaq usipanik ri Dios.

For by grace you have been saved through the faith; and this matter is not of yourselves; it is the gift of God:

9 Man rumal ta chak rech maj jun kunaꞌ nimal.

not by works, lest any one should boast.

10 Rumal cher are ri Dios xujtikowik pa Cristo Jesús, rech kaqabꞌan utza taq chak, ri rajawam loq ri Dios ojer.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God before prepared, that we should walk in them.

11 Xaq jeriꞌ naꞌtaj chiꞌwe chi ri ix man ix aꞌj Israel taj, man kojtal ta iwetal, jeriꞌ kakibꞌij chiꞌwe ri winaq ri kojtal ketal are wa ri bꞌantal rukꞌ uqꞌabꞌ winaq.

For which reason, remember that you were formerly Gen tiles, by natural descent, and that you are called Uncircumcision by the Circumcision; so called, from a mark made in the flesh by hands;

12 Che ri qꞌotaj riꞌ naj ix kꞌo wi che ri Cristo, man ix aꞌj Israel taj, naj ix kꞌo wi che ri bꞌiꞌtal kanoq, maj ikuꞌlibꞌal kuꞌx xuqujeꞌ man kꞌo ta ri Dios iwukꞌ.

that you were at that time without Christ, being aliens from the community of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope, and having no God in the world:

13 Kamik kꞌut pa Cristo ix ri naj ix kꞌo wi kanoq xixkꞌam apanoq rumal ri ukikꞌel ri Cristo.

but now, in Christ Jesus, you, who were formerly far off, have become near, by the blood of the Christ.

14 Rumal cher are qajaꞌmaril ri Cristo, rumal xa jun xubꞌan chike ri e kebꞌ tinimit, xuwulij ri qꞌatebꞌal ri xaq kukoj chꞌoꞌj chikixoꞌl.

For he is our peace, who has made both parties one, and broken down the partition wall that separated us,

15 Xuchup ri qꞌatoj tzij ri kubꞌan ri taqanik xubꞌan jaꞌmaril chikixoꞌl ri kebꞌ tinimit, rumal xraj xubꞌan xa jun kꞌakꞌ tinimit chike, rech jeriꞌ xujeqebꞌa ri jaꞌmaril.

having abolished, in his flesh, the cause of enmity, the law of commandments in ordinances, that he might, by himself, form the two into one new man, thus making peace;

16 Rech kuꞌtzir rukꞌ ri Dios kikobꞌchal tinimit, pa jun tyoꞌjal cho ri ripbꞌal, jawjeꞌ ri xukamisaj wi ri bꞌanoj kꞌulel.

and that he might reconcile both, in one body, to God, through the cross, having by it put to death the cause of enmity;

17 Xpetik xulutzijoj jaꞌmaril chiꞌwe ri naj ix kꞌo wi, xuqujeꞌ chike ri naqaj e kꞌo wi.

and having come, he preached peace to you who were far off, and to those who were near:

18 Rumal cher rumal ri Cristo yaꞌtal bꞌe chaqe kujok rukꞌ ri Tataxel rukꞌ ri utobꞌanik ri Uxlabꞌixel.

for, through him, we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

19 Rumal riꞌ etaꞌmatal chi iwach, man naj ta chik kixpe wi, xane xa ix jun chi kukꞌ ri winaq ri e chaꞌtal rumal ri Dios, ix tyoxalaj taq winaq ix kachiꞌl ri uwinaq ri Dios.

Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God,

20 Chixkꞌol puꞌwiꞌ ri takꞌalibꞌal ri xkikoj ri e taqoꞌn xuqujeꞌ ri qꞌalajisal taq utzij ri Dios. We abꞌaj ri qas kꞌo kutayij are Jesús.

having been builded upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner-stone,

21 Ri ja ri takꞌal pa Cristo sibꞌalaj utz bꞌantal che uyakik, tajin kawaꞌjilik rech kux jun templo qꞌijilaꞌbꞌal rech ri Ajawxel.

in whom the whole building, compactly fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;

22 Ix xuqujeꞌ kixyak pa Cristo rech kixux rachoch ri Uxlabꞌixel rech ri Dios.

in whom you also are builded together, for a dwelling-place of God by his Spirit.
