2 Corintios 4
1 Rumal waꞌ, man kujqꞌiꞌtaj taj chubꞌanik we chak we yaꞌtal chaqe rumal xtoqꞌobꞌax qawach.
THEREFORE having this ministry, as we have obtained mercy, we faint not;
2 Xane qatzaqom kanoq ri kꞌixibꞌal ubꞌanik ri xaq chaꞌwal kabꞌanik. Man kaqasubꞌ ta winaq xuqujeꞌ man kaqakꞌex ta ri kubꞌij ri utzij ri Dios. Xane are kaqatzijoj ri qas tzij chike ri winaq, retaꞌm ri Dios.
but have renounced all shameful secret practices, not conducting ourselves with artifice, nor deceitfully disguising the word of God, but by clear manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man’s conscience as in the presence of God.
3 We ri utz laj taq tzij ri kaqatzijoj awatalik, awatal riꞌ chikiwach ri winaq ri kasach kiwach.
And if now our gospel be hid, it is hid from those who are lost:
4 Ri dios rech we uwachulew riꞌ utzꞌapim ri kichomabꞌal ri man e kojonelabꞌ taj rech jeriꞌ man kakil taj ri tunal ri katunanik rech ri utz laj tzij rech ri Cristo are waꞌ ri ukaꞌyibꞌal ri Dios. (aiōn g165)
among whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dart its bright beams upon them. (aiōn g165)
5 Man are ta kaqatzijoj qibꞌ uj xane are kaqatzijoj ri Jesucristo ri Ajawxel. Ri uj xaq uj patanil taq iwe rumal rech ri Jesús.
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6 Rumal cher ri Dios ri xutaq ri tunal ri katunanik xtunan pa ri qꞌequꞌmal, Areꞌ xtunan ri tunal pa taq qanimaꞌ rech jeriꞌ xqetaꞌmaj ri ujuluwem ri Dios ri karepqꞌunik pa ri Cristo.
For the God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, he hath shined into our hearts, to give illumination of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 We qꞌinomal riꞌ kꞌo pa taq kꞌolibꞌal bꞌantal che ulew rech jeriꞌ kilitajik chi ri ujeꞌlal ri kwinem man qukꞌ ta uj kape wi, xane rukꞌ ri Dios.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the transcendent excellence of the power might be of God, and not of us.
8 Kꞌax kaqarik pa ronojel ri kaqabꞌano, pune jeriꞌ, man kujbꞌison taj, xane kujmayijanik xuqujeꞌ man kakꞌis taj ta kꞌu qakꞌuꞌx.
We are afflicted on every side, yet not reduced to extremities; under difficulties, yet not in despair;
9 Kujtzukuxik rech kabꞌan kꞌax chaqe, man uj tzaqsatal ta kꞌu kanoq, pune ujtzaqinaq pa ri ulew xa kꞌu man kꞌistal ta tzij pa qawiꞌ.
persecuted, yet not abandoned; cast down, but not destroyed;
10 Xapawjeꞌ kujeꞌ wi, qakꞌamom bꞌik ri ukamikal ri Jesús pa ri qatyoꞌjal rech jeriꞌ ri ukꞌaslemal kukꞌut ribꞌ pa ri qatyoꞌjal.
always bearing about in the body the death pangs of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body.
11 Ri uj ri uj kꞌaslik, uj jachtal wi pa ri kamikal xa rumal rech ri Jesús, rech jeriꞌ ri ukꞌaslemal kukꞌut na ribꞌ pa ri qatyoꞌjal.
For we who are yet alive are continually delivered up to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus may be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
12 Xaq jeriꞌ are kachakun ri kamikal chaqe uj chiꞌwe ix kꞌut are kachakun ri jun alik kꞌaslemal.
Wherefore death indeed is working in us, but life in you.
13 Ri Tzꞌibꞌatalik kubꞌij: Xinkoj pa wanimaꞌ rumal riꞌ xinbꞌij rukꞌ ri nuchiꞌ. Rukꞌ ri uxlabꞌal rech ri kojobꞌal riꞌ kujkojonik, rumal riꞌ jeriꞌ xuqujeꞌ kaqabꞌij.
Having then the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore I have spoken, we also believe, and therefore speak;
14 Qetaꞌm chi ri xukꞌastajisaj uwach ri Ajawxel Jesús, kujukꞌastajisaj xuqujeꞌ na uj rukꞌ Areꞌ xuqujeꞌ kujukꞌam bꞌik rukꞌ.
knowing that he who raised up our Lord Jesus Christ, will raise up us also through Jesus, and present us together with you.
15 Kaqarik we kꞌax riꞌ, xa rumal iwe, rech ri loqꞌanik ri tajin kuꞌkꞌam apanoq sibꞌalaj e kꞌi winaq, kanimar ri utyoxinik rech kuya uqꞌij riꞌ Dios.
For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace, through the thanksgiving of more persons, may more abound to the glory of God.
16 Xaq jeriꞌ, mujqꞌitaj bꞌa pune tajin kariꞌjobꞌ ri qatyoꞌjal, ri qanimaꞌ tajin kukꞌam uchuqꞌabꞌ qꞌij chi qꞌij.
Therefore we never faint; for though our outward man decay, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17 Rumal cher ri kꞌaxkꞌolal ri kaqarik kamik xaq kikꞌowik xuqujeꞌ kukꞌam loq jun juluwem ri man kꞌo taj ukꞌisik ri nim na uqꞌij cho ri kꞌaxkꞌolal. (aiōnios g166)
For our momentary light affliction worketh for us a transcendently far more exceeding eternal weight of glory; (aiōnios g166)
18 Rumal cher man are ta kajeqiꞌ qakꞌuꞌx chirij ri kilitaj uwach, xane jeqel qakꞌuꞌx chirij ri man kilitaj ta uwach, ri kilitaj uwach xaq ikꞌowel are kꞌu ri man kilitaj ta uwach kajeqiꞌ chibꞌe qꞌij saq. (aiōnios g166)
whilst we direct our aim not to the things which are seen, but to the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporary, but the things that are not seen are eternal. (aiōnios g166)
