2 Corintios 2

1 Rumal riꞌ xinchomaj chi man kixeꞌnsolij ta chik junmul rukꞌ bꞌis.

Besides, I determined this with myself, not to come again to you with sorrow.

2 Rumal chi we in kinyakow ibꞌis, ¿jachin kꞌu riꞌ ri kayoꞌw kiꞌkotemal chwe we man are ri winaq ri xinyak kibꞌis?

For if I should make you sorry, who then is he that could make me glad, unless the same who is made sorry by me?

3 Xintzꞌibꞌaj we riꞌ chiꞌwe, rech are kinopanik man kayak ta nubꞌis kumal ri keyakow nukiꞌkotemal. Kuꞌl na kꞌuꞌx chi are nukiꞌkotemal ri ikiꞌkotemal.

Wherefore, I wrote to you this very thing, that, coming, I might not have sorrow from them in whom I ought to rejoice; being firmly persuaded concerning you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.

4 Xintzꞌibꞌaj we riꞌ chiꞌwe rukꞌ bꞌis xuqujeꞌ rukꞌ kꞌaxkꞌolal pa ri wanimaꞌ, xuqujeꞌ rukꞌ oqꞌej, man xa ta kinyak ibꞌis, xane are kinkꞌut chiꞌwach ri unimal ri loqꞌanik.

For out of much affliction and distress of heart, I wrote to you with many tears; not that you might be made sorry, but that you might know the love which I have most abundantly toward you.

5 We kꞌo jun uyakom nubꞌis, man xwi ta xuyak nubꞌis in, xane xuyak ibꞌis iwonojel rumal ri ubꞌanom (qas man xa ta kinya uwiꞌ).

Now, if a certain person has grieved me, he has not grieved me except by a part of you, that I may not lay a load on you all.

6 Ri winaq ri jewaꞌ kubꞌano, xtaqiꞌ che ri qꞌatoj tzij ri xkibꞌan qonojel ri winaq puꞌwiꞌ.

Sufficient for such a one is the punishment, which was inflicted by the majority.

7 Ri ix kꞌut chikuyu umak xuqujeꞌ chikubꞌisaj ukꞌuꞌx rech man kukamisaj ta ribꞌ pa ri bꞌis.

So that, on the other hand, you ought more willingly to forgive and comfort him, lest such a one should be swallowed up by excessive grief.

8 Rumal riꞌ kinta chiꞌwe qas chikꞌutu cho we winaq riꞌ chi qas kiloqꞌaj.

Wherefore, I beseech you to confirm your love to him.

9 Are waꞌ uta we wuj xintzꞌibꞌaj chiꞌwe, rech jeriꞌ kinwilo we qas kixnimanik che ronojel ri kinbꞌij chiꞌwe.

For to this end, also, I wrote, that I might know the proof of you, whether you be obedient in all things.

10 Ri kikuy ix umak, kinkuy xuqujeꞌ in. Qas tzij we kꞌo jun jastaq ri nukuyum in, jewaꞌ nubꞌanom rumal qas cho ri Dios, xintoqꞌobꞌisaj iwach.

Now, to whom you forgive anything, I also forgive: and even I, if I have now forgiven anything, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes I forgave it, in the person of Christ:

11 Rech ri Itzel man kachꞌeken taj piꞌwiꞌ. Rumal cher qetaꞌm jas ri kubꞌan che ri subꞌunik.

that we may not be overreached by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

12 Are xinopan chutzijoxik ri utz laj taq tzij pa ri tinimit Troas, xinwilo chi ri Dios xuya bꞌe chwe kintzijoj ri ubꞌiꞌ chike e kꞌi winaq.

Moreover, when I came to Troas, in order to declare the gospel of Christ, and a door was opened to me by the Lord;

13 Pune jeriꞌ, man utz taj xinnaꞌo rumal man xinriq ta ri wachalal Tito, rumal riꞌ xinel bꞌik chilaꞌ kꞌa te riꞌ xineꞌ pa Macedonia.

I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus, my brother: therefore, bidding them farewell, I went away into Macedonia.

14 Xa tyox che ri Dios ri kubꞌan chaqe chi uj chꞌekenelabꞌ, xuqujeꞌ xa rumal qe uj, kutukij bꞌik ri ukꞌokꞌal ri etaꞌmanik pa ronojel kꞌolibꞌal.

Now, thanks be to God, who at all times causes us to triumph in Christ; and who, by us, diffuses the odor of the knowledge of him in every place:

15 Rumal cher uj riꞌ ri uj kꞌokꞌ laj ruxlabꞌ ri Cristo ri uj kꞌo chikixoꞌl ri winaq ri kekolotajik xuqujeꞌ ri kasach kiwach.

for we are, through God, a fragrant odor of Christ, among the saved and among the destroyed.

16 Qas tzij uj ruxlabꞌ kamikal chike ri kekamik, xuqujeꞌ uj ruxlabꞌ kꞌaslemal chike ri kꞌo kikꞌaslemal ¿jachin qas kakwin chubꞌanik we jastaq riꞌ?

To these, indeed, we are the odor of death, ending in death; but to the others, the odor of life, ending in life: and who is competent to these things?

17 Ri uj man uj junam ta kukꞌ ri winaq ri kakikꞌayij ri utzij ri Dios. Xane kaqatzijoj utzij ri Dios qas rukꞌ ronojel qanimaꞌ xuqujeꞌ pa Dios xuqujeꞌ cho ri Dios rumal cher xa jun qaꞌnik rukꞌ ri Cristo.

However, we are not like many who adulterate the word of God: but really from sincerity, yes, really from God, in the sight of God, we speak in Christ.
