< 1 Juan 5 >

1 Ri winaq ri kukojo chi ri Jesús are Cristo che ri Dios kꞌiyinaq wi, xuqujeꞌ ri kuloqꞌaj ri Tataxel Dios kuꞌloqꞌaj xuqujeꞌ ri e ralkꞌwaꞌl ri Dios.
Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Whoever loves the Father also loves the child who is born of him.
2 Are kaqaloqꞌaj ri Dios xuqujeꞌ kaqanimaj ri utaqanik, qetaꞌm chi tajin keꞌqaloqꞌaj ri e ralkꞌwaꞌl ri Dios.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commandments.
3 Ri uloqꞌanik ri Dios are chi kaqanimaj ri utaqanik. Man kꞌax ta kꞌut unimaxik.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.
4 Ri alaxinaq pa Dios kachꞌeken puꞌwiꞌ ri jastaq rech uwachulew. Ri qakojobꞌal kachꞌeken puꞌwiꞌ ri jastaq rech uwachulew. Are waꞌ ri qachꞌekoj.
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.
5 Ri winaq ri kukojo chi ri Jesús are uKꞌojol ri Dios kachꞌeken na puꞌwiꞌ ri jastaq rech uwachulew.
Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 Ri Jesucristo xpe cho ri uwachulew, rumal ri jaꞌ xuqujeꞌ kikꞌ; man xaq xwi taj rumal ri jaꞌ xane rukꞌ kikꞌ xuqujeꞌ jaꞌ. Are ri Uxlabꞌixel kaqꞌalajisan we jastaq riꞌ, rumal chi ri Uxlabꞌixel are qas tzij.
This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
7 Oxibꞌ ri keqꞌalajisanik pa ri kaj.
For there are three who testify:
8 Koxchal junam kechomanik: ri Uxlabꞌixel, ri jaꞌ xuqujeꞌ ri kikꞌ.
the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and the three agree as one.
9 We kaqakoj ri kakibꞌij ri achyabꞌ, la are kꞌu mat kaqakoj ri uqꞌalajisanik ri Dios ri sibꞌalaj nim, jeriꞌ rumal chi are ri Dios kuya qꞌalajisanik chirij ri uKꞌojol.
If we accept human testimony, the witness of God is greater; for this is God's testimony that he has testified concerning his Son.
10 Ri winaq ri kakojon che ri ukꞌojol ri Dios kukꞌamawaꞌj we qꞌalajisanik riꞌ. Ri man kukoj ta ri Dios, tajin kubꞌij chi ri Dios xaq bꞌanal tzij, rumal cher man kukoj taj ri qꞌalajisanik ri xuya ri Dios chirij ri uKꞌojol Jesús.
He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son.
11 Ri qꞌalajisanik ri xubꞌan ri Dios are chi ri Dios xuya jun alik qakꞌaslemal, ri kꞌaslemal riꞌ kꞌo pa ri ukꞌojol Jesús. (aiōnios g166)
The testimony is this, that God gave to us everlasting life, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)
12 Ri winaq ri xkojon che ri Kꞌojolaxel Jesús kꞌo ukꞌaslemal. Ri man kojoninaq ta che ri Kꞌojolaxel, maj ukꞌaslemal.
He who has the Son has the life. He who does not have God's Son does not have the life.
13 Kintzꞌibꞌaj we jastaq riꞌ chiꞌwe, ri ixkojoninaq che ri uKꞌojol ri Dios. Rech xa jeriꞌ kiwetaꞌmaj chi kꞌo jun alik ikꞌaslemal. (aiōnios g166)
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
14 We kujqebꞌ rukꞌ ri Dios chutayik jun jastaq ri are urayibꞌal ukꞌuꞌx, areꞌ kujuto. Are waꞌ ri kꞌulibꞌal qakꞌuꞌx ri kꞌolik.
This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.
15 We qetaꞌm chi ri Dios kuta ri qachꞌawem, rajawaxik kakubꞌiꞌ qakꞌuꞌx chi kꞌo chi qukꞌ ri kaqata che.
And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
16 We kꞌo jun karil ri rachalal kubꞌan jun makaj ri man rech ta kamikal, chubꞌana chꞌawem puꞌwiꞌ rech kaya na ukꞌaslemal rumal ri Dios. Are tajin kinbꞌij jun ri kubꞌan mak ri man kakꞌaman ta bꞌik pa kamikal. Kꞌo jun makaj ri kakꞌaman bꞌik pa kamikal, man kinbꞌij ta in chi utz kabꞌan chꞌawem puꞌwiꞌ ri winaq ri kubꞌan we mak riꞌ.
If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he should ask, and he will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death. I do not say that he should make a request concerning this.
17 Ronojel uwach etzelal makaj, pune jeriꞌ, kꞌo kꞌut makaj ri kakꞌaman bꞌik pa kamikal.
All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.
18 Qetaꞌm chi ri winaq ri xkojon che ri Cristo man kꞌo ta chik pa mak, xane katoꞌik rumal ri Jesucristo uKꞌojol ri Dios xuqujeꞌ man kachap ta chik rumal ri Itzel.
We know that whoever is born of God does not sin, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.
19 Ri uj qetaꞌm chi uj ralkꞌwaꞌl ri Dios, are kꞌu ri winaq ri man e kojonelabꞌ taj e kꞌo chuxeꞌ raqan uqꞌabꞌ ri Itzel.
We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
20 Qetaꞌm kꞌut chi ri uKꞌojol ri Dios xpetik chuyaꞌik qetaꞌmabꞌal rech jeriꞌ kaqetaꞌmaj uwach ri kꞌaslik Dios. Qas uj kꞌo wi rukꞌ ri uKꞌojol Jesucristo. Are waꞌ ri kꞌaslik Dios, xuqujeꞌ are jun alik kꞌaslemal. (aiōnios g166)
We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
21 Loqꞌalaj taq walkꞌwaꞌl, man kiqꞌijilaꞌj taj ri e bꞌanom taq tyox.
Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
