< Mathayo 22 >

1 Yesu aikile nabho lindi mubhwijejekanyo, naika,
Once again Jesus spoke to them in parables, saying,
2 Obhukama bhwa mulwile obhususana nobhukama oyo akolele obhwenga obhwo omwana waye.
“The kingdom of heaven can be compared to a king who prepared a wedding feast for his son.
3 Nabhatuma abhakosi bhaye okubhalubha abhobhaliga bhabhilikiwe okuja mubhukondelwa, bho bhwenga tali bhatejile.
He sent his servants to call those who had been invited to the wedding feast, but they would not come.
4 Omukama atumile abhakosi abhandi, naika. mubhabhwile bhone bhanu bhakokelwe mulole natekele ebhilyo. Jinumi najinana jani jinu jimemele jabhagilwe na amagambo gone gali ayeyi, muje mubhukondelwa bhwo bhwenga.
Again he sent other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and the fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.”’
5 Mbe nawe abhanu abho bhatagendele mubhwenga obhwo bhaliga bhakokelwe. Abhandi bhagendele mumashamba gebhwe, abhandi bhasubhile mubhyasala bhyebhwe.
But they paid no attention and went away, one to his own field and another to his business.
6 abhandi nibhabhemukila abhakosi abhomukama nibhabha swasha nokubheta.
The rest seized his servants, mistreated them, and killed them.
7 Nawe omukama abhiliiywe natuma abhalwani bhaye, nabheta bhaliya abheti nokubhasingalisha omusi gwebhwe kwo mulilo.
When the king heard about it, he was furious. So he sent his armies, who destroyed those murderers and burned down their city.
8 Okumala nabhabhwila abhakosi bhaye, “Obhwenga bhulyayeyi, nawe abhakokwa bhatajila chibhalo,
Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
9 mbe mugende munjila jinkulu, mubhakoke abhanu bhanfu kutyo mulatula bhaje mubhulegesi obhobhwenga.
Go therefore to where the roads exit the city and invite to the wedding feast anyone you find.’
10 Abhakosi bhagendele munjila jinkulu nokubhakoka abhanu bhamumbaga jone abho bhabhalolaga, abhakisi na bhabhibhi. niwo olubhuga lwobhwenga nulwijula abhagenyi.
So the servants went out to the roads and gathered together all whom they found, both evil and good, and the wedding feast was filled with guests.
11 Nawe omukama ejile akengila okubhalola abhagenyi, amulolele munu umwi oyo aliga atafwaye ingubho yo mubhwenga!
“But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who was not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Omukama namubhusha, omusani, wengila kutiki munu munyumba utali na ngubho yamubhwenga? Omunu uyo ataikile chonachona.
So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did yoʋ get in here without a wedding garment?’ But the man was speechless.
13 Mbe niwo omukama nabhabhwila abhakosi bhae ati, “Mumubhoye Omunu unu amabhoko na amagulu na mumwese muchisute, eyo niyo kulibha okulila no kuguguna ameno.
Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind his feet and hands, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
14 Kulwo kubha abhanu bhanfu abhabhilikilwa, nawe abhasolwa ni bhatilu.
For many are called, but few are chosen.”
15 Niwo abhafarisayo bhagendele no kwiloma koleleki bhamugwate Yesu mu misango jaye mwenekili.
Then the Pharisees went and took counsel as to how they might ensnare Jesus in what he said.
They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, who said to him, “Teacher, we know that yoʋ are true and teach the way of God in truth and defer to no one, for yoʋ do not show partiality.
17 Kulwejo chibhwile, owiganilishaki? Angu ni jakisi muchimile okutobha likodi ku Kaisari amwi uli?”
Tell us then, what do yoʋ think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not?”
18 Yesu amenyele obhulangilangi bhwebhwe naika ati, “Ni kulwaki omundegeja, abholulimi?
But Jesus knew their evil intent and said, “Why are you testing me, you hypocrites?
19 Munyeleshe iyela inu omutobhela likodi.” Niwo nibhamuletela idinari.
Show me the coin for the tax.” So they brought him a denarius.
20 Yesu nabhabhusha ati, “Olususo na lisina linu nibyaga?”
Then he said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?”
21 Nibhamusubhya ati, “Ni bhya Kaisari.” Niwo Yesu nabhabhwila ati, “Muyanega Kaisari ebhinu bhinu bhili bhyaye ne bhya Nyamuanga mumuyane Nyamuanga.”
They said to him, “Caesar's.” So he said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.”
22 Bhejile bhongwa kutiyo bhalugulile. Niwo nibhamusiga nibhagenda jebhwe.
When they heard this, they were amazed. Then they left him and went away.
23 Kulusiku olwo abhandi abha Bhasadukayo bhejile ku Yesu, bhanu abhaika ati kutalio kusuluka kwa bhafuye. Nibhamubhusha,
On that day some Sadducees (who say there is no resurrection) came to Jesus and asked him,
24 “Nibhaika ati, Mwiigisha, Musa aikile ati, jakabhee omunu afuye atebhuye bhana, omwana wabho atwale omugasi wae amubhoneleko omwana omumula wabho.
“Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for him.’
25 Bhaliga bhaliwo abhaili musanju. Owo kwamuba atwae no kumala nafwa achali kwibhula nage abhana. Neya namusigila omuili wabho omugasi.
Now there were seven brothers among us. The first married and died, and having no offspring, he left his wife to his brother.
26 Okumala omuili owakabhili ona nakola kutyo kutyo, okumala owa kasatu, ona nabha kutyo okukinga ulya owa wamusanju.
The same thing happened to the second and to the third, down to the seventh.
27 Kubhutelo bhokukola ejo bhone omugasi uliya one fuye.
Last of all, the woman also died.
28 Mbe kusuko omuga Oyo kabha mugasi waga kubhamula abho musanju? okubha bhone bhaswilile okumutwala.”
In the resurrection, therefore, which of the seven will she be the wife of? For they all had her.”
29 Nawe Yesu abhasubhishe na bhabhila,” Muyabhile, kulyokulema okumenya jinu jandikilwe nolwo amanaga ga Nyamuanga.
Jesus answered them, “You are in error because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Okubha mubhusuluko abhanu bhatalitwala amwi kutwalibhwa nawe bhali lwa bhaalaika mulwile.
For in the resurrection people neither marry nor are they given in marriage. Instead, they are like angels of God in heaven.
31 Nawe ebhyokusuka kwa bhafuye, muchaliga kwilabha okusoma chilia echo Nyamuanga aikile kwemwe, naikati,
But as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what God said to you:
32 Nanye Nyamuanga wa Ibulaimu, Nyamuanga wa Isaka naNyamunga wa Yakobho? Nyamuanga atali Nyamuanga wabhafue ni Nyamuanga wa bhaanga.”
‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
33 Akatungu elikofyanya bhejile bhwongwa linu, bhalungulile ameigisho Gaye.
And when the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.
34 Nawe Abhafarisayo bhejile bhongwa ati Yesu ajibhisha Abhasadukayo, nibhwekofyanya awo amwene amwi.
Now when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.
35 Omwi webhwe ali nyabhilagilo, amubhusishe libhusho kwo kumulegeja.
And one of them, a lawyer, asked Jesus a question to test him:
36 “Omwiingisha ni chilagilo ki echikulu okukila jona mubhilangilo?”
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”
37 Yesu namusubhya ati jikwiile umwende Latabhugenyi kwo mwoyo gwao gwone no bhwenge bhwao bhone
Jesus said to him, “‘Yoʋ shall love the Lord yoʋr God with all yoʋr heart, with all yoʋr soul, and with all yoʋr mind.’
38 Chinu ncho echilagilo echikulu ne chokwamba.
This is the most important and greatest commandment.
39 Nechakabhili echisusana -necho jikwiile okumwenda omwikashanya wao lwakutyo owiyenda awe omwene.
And a second is like it: ‘Yoʋ shall love yoʋr neighbor as yoʋrself.’
40 Ebhwilangilo bhyona na Bhalangi ebhiikanya ebhilagilo bhinu bhibhili.”
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
41 Na Bhafalisayo ao bhaliga anu bhachalindiliye kwikofyanya amwi, Yesu abhabhwiliye libhusho.
While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
42 Naika ati,” mbe, omwiganilisha ingulu ya kiristo? Omwene ni mwana waga?” Abhwene nibhamubhwila ni mwana Wadaudi
“What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “David's.”
43 Yesu nabhasubhya ati,” Nkwasongaki chinu echikola Daudi mu mwoyo na mutoga Latabhugenyi naika ati,
He said to them, “How is it then that David, in the Spirit, calls him ‘Lord,’ saying,
44 'Latabhugenyi amubhwiliye Latabhugenyi wani at, “Inyanja mukubhoko kwani okwebhulyo, okukinga anu nilibhakola abhabhibhi bhao bhatulwe emwalo yammagulu gao.'”?”
‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand until I make yoʋr enemies a footstool for yoʋr feet”’?
45 Labha Daudi kamubhikila” Kristo Latabhugenyi,” Ni kujunoki abhe mwana wae.
If David calls him ‘Lord,’ how is he his son?”
46 Atabheyeo unu atulile kumusubhya! musango lindi, na tabheyeo unu alegejishe libdi okumubhusha amabhusho mafu okwambila olusiku olwo no kugendelela.
No one was able to say anything in reply, nor did anyone dare to ask him questions anymore from that day forward.
