< Marko 1 >

1 Bunu ni bwambilo bhwe misango jo bhwana eja Yesu Kristo, omwana wa Nyamuanga.
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
2 Lwa kutyo jandikilwe no mulagi Isaya, “Lola, enimutuma omukosi wani imbele yao, oumwi unu kajo okuchuma-chuma injila yao.
As it is written in the Prophets, “Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of yoʋ, who will prepare yoʋr way before yoʋ,
3 Obhulaka bhwo munu unu kabhilikila ibhala, “Ichumwe kisi injila ya Lata bhugenyi; Jigololwe kisi jinjila jae”.
the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord; make his paths straight,’”
4 Yohana ejile, nabhatija ibhala no kusimula obhubhatijo bhwo kuta no kwiswalililwa ebhikayo.
John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
5 Echalo chona echa Yudea na abhanu bhona abha Yerusalemu bhagendele ewae. Bhaliga nibhabhatija nage mu mugela gwa Yordani, nibhegamba ebhibhibhi bhyebhwe.
The whole Judean countryside was going out to him, and so were the people of Jerusalem. They were all being baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.
6 Yohana aliga nafwala echifwalo bhwo bhufufi bhwa Ingamia na lifwata lyo lwai muchibhunu chae, na aliga nalya jinsige no bhuki bhwe mwila.
Now John was clothed with camel's hair and wore a leather belt around his waist; he ate locusts and wild honey.
7 Asimuye no kwaika, “Alio umwi unu kajokuja inyuma yani unu ankilile kula amanaga anye, nitana chibhalo nolwo okwinama emwalo no kusulumula jingoye je bhilato byae.
He proclaimed, “After me comes one who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.
8 Anye nabhabhatijishe mu maji, mbe nawe omwene kabhabhatija emwe mu Mwoyo Mwelu.”
I have baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
9 Munaku ejo jabhonekene ati Yesu ejile okusoka Nazareti ya Galilaya, mbe nabhatijibhwa na Yohana mu mugela gwa Yordani.
In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
10 Mu mwanya Yesu ejile enamuka okusoka mu maji, alolele olwile nilugabhanyika nabha abhwelu na Mwoyo namwikila namujako ali uti njibha.
Immediately as he was coming up from the water, he saw the heavens being split apart and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
11 No bhulaka nibhusoka mu lwile, “Awe uli mwana wani omwendwa. Enikondelelwa muno nawe.”
Then a voice came from heaven: “Yoʋ are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
12 Okumala ao nao Mwoyo namusinyilisha okuja ibhala.
Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness,
13 Abheeyo ibhala naku makumi gana, nasakwa na Shetani. Aliga ali na jityanyi je mwila jindulu, na Bhamalaika nibhamufulubhendela.
and he was there in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild beasts, and the angels ministered to him.
14 Oli ejile Yohana agwatibhwa, Yesu ejile Galilaya nalasha omusango gwo bhwana ogwa Nyamuanga,
After John was put in prison, Jesus went to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God
15 Naika,”Omwanya gwakumila, no bhukama bhwa Nyamuanga bhwelila ayei. Mute no kwikilisha mu musango gwo bhwana.”
and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has drawn near. Repent and believe in the gospel.”
16 Anu aliga nalabha kunjejekela ya Galilaya, amulolele Simoni na Andrea owabho Simoni nibhatega emitego jebhwe mu nyanja, kwo kubha bhaliga bhategi.
As Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother (that is, Simon's brother) casting a net in the sea, for they were fishermen.
17 Yesu abhabhwiliye, “Muje, mundubhe, ne enibhakola kubha bhategi bha bhanu.”
Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
18 Ao nao nibhajisiga emitego nibhamulibha.
So they immediately left their nets and followed him.
19 Mu mwanya Yesu ejile alibhatao kula kutoto, amulolele Yakobho omwana wa Jebhedayo na Yohana omumula wabho; bhaliga mu bhwato nibhasobhola emitego.
Going on a little farther from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother as they were in the boat mending their nets.
20 Okwiya nabhabhilikila na bhene nibhamusiga esemwene webhwe Jebhedayo mu bhwato na bhakosi bhanu bhaliga bhaliga bho kuliywa, nibhamulubha.
Immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.
21 Mbe bhejile bhakinga Kaperinaumu, mu lunaku olwa isabhato, Yesu engie mulikofyanyisho no kwiigisha.
They went to Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath Jesus went into the synagogue and began teaching.
22 Eliigisho lyae lyabhatang'ang'anyishe, lwa kutyo aliga nabheigisha lwo munu unu ali no bhutulo na atali lwa abhandiki.
The people were astonished at his teaching, because he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes.
23 Mu mwanya ogwo ogwo aliga alio omunu mulikofyanyisho lyebhwe unu aliga no musambhwa mujabhi, aliga nakunga,
Now in their synagogue there was a man possessed by an unclean spirit. He cried out,
24 naika, “Chili na chinuki echokukola nawe, Yesu owa Nanjareti? Wijile okuchisimagisha? Enikumenya awe nawega. Awe nu Mulengelesi enyele owa Nyamuanga!”
“Leave us alone! What do yoʋ have to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have yoʋ come to destroy us? I know who yoʋ are—the Holy One of God.”
25 Yesu naligonya lisambwa elyo no kwaika, “Jibila na umusokemo!”
But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!”
26 Mbe lisambwa lijabhi elyo nilimugwisha ansi mu mwanya ogwo namusokako nalila kwo bhulaka bhwa ingulu.
So the unclean spirit convulsed the man and came out of him, crying out with a loud voice.
27 Mbe abhanu bhone nibhatang'ang'ala, kwibhyo nibhabhushanya bhuli umwi, “Chinu Niki? Eliigisho eyaya elyo bhutulo? Kalagilila amasambwa amajabhi ona agamuyana echibhalo!”
All the people were amazed so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new teaching is this that with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him?”
28 Emisango jo kulubhana no mwene nijitalala bhuli ebhala mu musi gwona ogwa Galilaya.
And the news about him immediately spread throughout all the surrounding region of Galilee.
29 Na bhwangu wejile auluka mulikofyanyisho, bhengie mu nyumba ya Simoni na Andrea bhali Yakobho na Yohana.
After leaving the synagogue, they immediately went to the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30 Mbe woli nyabhuko Simoni aliga amamile ali mulwae wo muswija, bhwangu nibhamubhwila Yesu emisango jae.
Now Simon's mother-in-law lay sick with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her.
31 Kwibhyo ejile, amugwatile no kubhoko, no kumwinamusha ingulu; Omuswija nigumusokako na namba okubhafulubhendela.
So he went over to her and raised her up, taking hold of her hand. Immediately the fever left her, and she began to serve them.
32 Kegolo eyo omwanya gwa lisubha lyalagae, bhamuletee ewae bhona bhanu bhaliga bhalwae, amwi na bhanu bhaliga bhaungilwe amasambwa.
When evening came, after the sun had set, they brought to Jesus all who were sick and those who were possessed by demons.
33 Omusi gwona bhekofyanyishe amwi mu mulyango.
The whole city was gathered together at the door,
34 Abheulisishe bhwafu bhanu bhaliga bhalwae abha malwala ga bhuli mbaga no kusoshako amasambwa mafu, nawe atekilisishe amasambwa okwaika ku nsonga bhamumenyele.
and he healed many who were sick with various diseases. He also cast out many demons, but he would not allow the demons to speak, because they knew who he was.
35 Emukile katondo mumachelelesha, chichali chisute; asokeleo no kuja ebhala lyo bhiibhise no kusabhwa eyo.
Early the next morning, while it was still very dark, Jesus rose and departed. He went off to a desolate place and prayed there.
36 Simoni na bhona bhanu bhaliga bhali amwi nage nibhamulubha.
Simon and his companions searched diligently for him,
37 Nibhamubhona mbe nibamubhwila, “Bhuli umwi kakuiga”.
and when they found him, they said to him, “Everyone is looking for yoʋ.”
38 Abhabhwiliye, “Chigende ebhala lindi, anja mu misi jinu jiindile, koleleki eyo one nitule okusimula. Niyo insonga nijile anu.”
Jesus said to them, “Let us go into the neighboring towns so that I may preach there also, for that is why I have come.”
39 Agendelee nalabha mu Galilaya Yona, nasimula mu mekofyanyisho gebhwe no kugonya amasambwa.
So he was preaching in their synagogues in all of Galilee and casting out demons.
40 Omugege umwi namujako ku mwene. aliga namwilembeleja; Nafukama no kumubhwila, “Alabha owenda, outula okukola nibhe muanga.”
Then a leper came up and knelt before him, begging him, “If yoʋ are willing, yoʋ can make me clean.”
41 Nasindikwa ne chigogo, Yesu nagolola okubhoko kwae no kumukunyako,”Namubhwila, “Enenda. ubhe muanga.”
Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out his hand, touched the man, and said to him, “I am willing; be made clean.”
42 Ao nao ebhigege nibhimusokako, na eulisibhwe nabha muanga.
When he said this, the leprosy immediately departed from the man, and he was made clean.
43 Yesu namukomelesha muno namubhwila agende bwangu,
Then Jesus sternly warned him and immediately sent him away,
44 Amubhwilie, “komelesha ati utakutula kwaika musango ku wona wona, mbe nawe genda, uje okwiyelesha ku mugabhisi, na usoshe echogo kulwo kwela ku bhinu Musa alagilie, kuti bhubhambasi ku bhene.”
saying to him, “Be sure not to say anything to anyone, but go show yoʋrself to the priest and offer for yoʋr cleansing what Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
45 Mbe nawe agendele no kwamba okumubhwila Bhuli umwi no kulasha muno omusango nolwo Yesu atatulile lindi okwingila mu musi gwo abhwelu bhwelu. Kwibyo enyanjile enyelela na bhanu nibhamujako ku mwene okusoka bhuli ebhala.
But the man went out and began to proclaim it widely and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places. Yet people were coming to him from everywhere.
