< Marko 8 >

1 Mu naku ejo, lyaliga lilio liijo elindi enene, na bhaliga bhatali na bhilyo. Yesu nabhabhilikila abheigisibhwa bhae nabhabhwila,
Around this time there was another large crowd that had nothing to eat. Jesus called the disciples together and told them,
2 “Enilisasila liijo linu, abhagendelela okubha nanye kwa naku esatu na bhatali na bhilyo.
“I feel for the crowd because they have already stayed with me for three days and they have nothing to eat.
3 Nikabhanyalaganya bhasubhe mumisi jebhwe bhachali kulya abhatula okukabha munjila ku songa ya injala. Na bhandi bhebhwe bhasokele kula muno.”
If I send them home without food, they'll faint on the way. Some have come from a long way away.”
4 Abheigisibhwa bhae nibhamusubhya, “Echibhona aki emikate ejokwiya okulisha abhanu bhanu mwibhala linu lisigilwe?”
“Where could anybody find enough bread to feed them here in this wilderness?” answered his disciples.
5 Nabhabhusha, mulina bhibhala bhilinga ebhye mikate?” Nibhaika, “Musanju”.
“How many loaves do you have?” he asked. “Seven,” they replied.
6 Nalilagilila liijo bhenyanje ansi. Nagega mikate musanju, namusima Nyamuanga, no kujibhutula. Nabhayana abheigisibhwa bhae bhajite imbele yebhwe, na bhene nibhajita imbele ya liijo.
He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves of bread, and gave thanks. He broke the bread and handed the pieces to his disciples to give to the crowd.
7 One bhaliga bhali na jinswi notwela jitali nyafu, bhejile bhamala okusima, nabhalagilila abheigisibhwa bhae bhabhagabhile bhinu one.
They had a few fish as well, so having blessed them, he said, “Take these and share them too.”
8 Bhalie nibheguta. Nibhakofya ebhibhala bhinu bhyasagile, ebhikapo bhinene musanju.
They ate until they were full, and then collected up seven baskets of leftovers.
9 Bhaliga nibhalebhelela bhanu bhiumbi bhina. Mbe nabhasiga bhagende.
There were four thousand people there. After sending them on their way,
10 Okwiya nashabhala mubhwato na abheigisibhwa bhae, mbe nibhagenda mu mabhala ga Dalmanuta.
Jesus climbed into a boat with his disciples and went to the region of Dalmanutha.
11 Okumala Abhafarisayo nibhauluka anja na nibhamba okubhambashanya nage. Bhaliga nibhenda abhayane echibhalikisho okusoka mu lwile, kwo kumulegeja.
The Pharisees arrived and began to argue with him, wanting him to give them a miraculous sign from heaven, trying to get him to prove himself.
12 Neganilisha muno mu mwoyo gwae naika, “Kulwaki olwibhulo lunu oluyenja echibhalikisho? Enibhabhwila emwe chimali chitalio chibhalikisho chinu echisosibhwa ku lwibhulo lunu.”
Jesus sighed deeply, and asked, “Why do you people want a sign? I tell you the truth: I will not give you a sign.”
13 Okumala nabhasiga, nashabhala lindi mubhwato, nasokao naja ebhala lindi.
So he left them behind, climbed into the boat, and went back across the lake.
14 Mu mwanya ogwo abheisibhwa bhalabhiywe okugega emikate. Bhaliga bhatana mikate nolwo kabhala na kamwi kukila kanu kaliga mubhwato.
But the disciples had forgotten to bring bread with them. All they had in the boat was one loaf.
15 Nabhakomelesha no kwaika ati, “Mukabhuke na mwikenge ingulu ye chifwimbya cha bhafarisayo ne chifwimbya cha Herode.
“Watch out—beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and of Herod!” he warned them.
16 Abheigisibhwa nibhaika abhene kwa bhene, “Kusonga chitana mikate.”
“He's saying that because we don't have any bread,” they concluded.
17 Yesu alimenyele linu, nabhabhwila, “Kulwaki omwaikana okulubhana no okulema okubha ne mikate? Muchali kumenya? Muchali kusombokelwa? Emitima jemwe jabhee miyangu? (mikomee)?
Jesus knew what they were saying, and said, “Why are you talking about not having any bread? Are you still not thinking and not understanding? Have you closed your minds?
18 Muli na meso, mutakulola? Muna amatwi, mutakungwa? Mutakwichuka?
You've got eyes to see, haven't you? And ears to hear?
19 Anu najigabhanyishe emikate ku bhanu bhiumbi bhitanu, mwagegele bhikapo bhiliga bhinu bhyaliga bhijue bhibhala bhye mikate?” Nibhamusubhya ati, “Ekumi na bhibhili.”
Don't you remember when I shared five loaves among five thousand? How many basketfuls of leftovers did you pick up?” “Twelve,” they replied.
20 Na nejile najigabhanyishe mikate musanju ku bhanu bhiumbi bhina, mwagegele bhikapo bhilinga?”
“And the seven loaves divided among four thousand. How many basketfuls of leftovers did you pick up?” “Seven,” they answered.
21 Nibhaika ati, “Musanju.” Muchali kusombokelwa?”
“Do you still not understand?” he asked them.
22 Nibhaja Bethsaida. Abhanu abho nibhamuleta ku Yesu omunu muofu na nibhamulembelesha Yesu amukunieko.
They went to Bethsaida where some people brought a blind man to Jesus. They begged Jesus to touch him and heal him.
23 Yesu namugwata no kubhoko omuofu ulya, no kumutangasha anja yo musi. Namufubhulila amachwanta ku meso gae nokugolola amabhoko gae ingulu ya meso gae, namubhusha ati, “Oulola chona chona?”
Jesus took the blind man by the hand and took him outside the village. Jesus spat on the man's eyes and touched him with his hands. Then Jesus asked him, “Can you see anything?”
24 Alalamie ingulu no kwaika, “Enilola abhanu na bhene abhabhonekana uti mati agalibhata.”
The man looked around, and said, “I can see people, but they look like trees walking.”
25 Nio nagolola lindi amabhoko gae ingulu ya meso gae, omunu ulya neguka ameso gae, nalola lindi, mbe nalola bhuli chinu kisi.
So Jesus touched the man's eyes again. He could see properly—he was cured and his sight was clear.
26 Yesu namusiga agende ika na namubhwila, “Wasiga kwingila mu musi.”
Jesus sent the man home, and told him, “Don't go back through the village.”
27 Yesu nagenda na bheigisibhwa bhae naja mu misi eja Kaiseria ya Filipi. Anu bhaliga bhali munjila nabhabhusha abheigisibhwa, Abhanu abhanyaika ati anye nanyega?”
Jesus and his disciples left to go to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked his disciples, “Who do people say I am?”
28 Nibhamusubhya nibhaika ati, Yohana omubhatijaji. Abhandi abhaika ati, 'Eliya' na abhandi, ni umwi wa Abhalagi.”
“Some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, others say one of the prophets,” they replied.
29 Nabhabhusha, “Nawe emwe omwaika ati anye nanyega? “Petro namubhwila, “Awe uli Kristo.” (Masihi).”
“But who do you say I am?” he asked them. “You are the Messiah!” Peter answered.
30 Yesu nabhakomelesha bhasiga kubhwila munu wona wona ejo kulubhana no mwene.
Jesus warned them not to tell anybody about him.
31 Namba okubheigisha ati Omwana wo munu kumwiile anyake kwe misango miyafu, na kajo okulemwa na bhatangasha na abhagabhisi abhakulu, na abhandiki, na kajo kwitwa, na kulunaku lwa kasatu kasuluka.
Then Jesus began to explain to them that the Son of man would suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and religious teachers. He would be killed, but three days later would rise again.
32 Aikile ganu abhwelu. Niwo Petro namugega namusubhya kumbali namba okumugonya.
Jesus explained this to them very clearly. But Peter took Jesus aside and started to reprimand him for what he said.
33 Mbe nawe Yesu ekebhukie no kubhalola abheigisibhwa bhae no okumugonya Petro no kwaika, “Subha inyuma yani Shetani! Utakukukwa emisango ja Nyamuanga, atali emisango eja abhanu.”
Jesus turned around and looking at his disciples, reprimanded Peter. “Get away from me, Satan,” he said. “You're not thinking as God thinks, but as human beings do.”
34 Okumala nabhilikila liijo amwi na abheigisibhwa bhae, no kubhabhwila, “Alabha alio omunu unu Kenda okundubha eganye omwene-la, agege omusalabha gwae, na andubhe.
Jesus called the crowd and his disciples over to him, and told them, “If you want to follow me, you must give up on yourselves, pick up your cross and follow me.
35 Kulwo kubha wona wona unu Kenda okukisha obhulame bhae, kabhubhusha, na wona wona unu kenda okubhusha ubhulame ingulu yani na ingulu yo omusango gwo bhwana, kabhukisha.
If you want to save your life you will lose it, but if you lose your life because of me and the good news you will save it.
36 Omunu ejimusakila-ki, akabhona Echalo chona, no kumala nafwilwamo obhulame bhwae?
What use is it for you to gain everything in the whole world, and lose your life?
37 Omunu katula okusosha-ki chinu chitambene no bhulame bhwae?
What would you give in exchange for your life?
38 Wona wona unu kandolela jinswalo ne misango Jani mu lwibhulo lunu olwo bhulomesi no lwibhulo lwa abhebhibhi, Omwana wo munu one alimulolela nswalo alibha aja mu bhukama obhwa esemwene amwi na Bhamalaika abhelu.
If you're ashamed to acknowledge me and what I say among this unfaithful and sinful people, then the Son of man will be ashamed to acknowledge you when he comes with his Father's glory with the holy angels.”
