Luka 22
1 Mbe, omwanya gwe mikate jinu jitali na chifwibhya gwaliga nigufogela, inu yaliga nitogwa Ipasaka.
Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the passover, was drawing near;
2 Abhagabhisi bhakulu na bhandiki nibhayenja injila yo kumwita Yesu, kulwokubha bhaliga nibhobhaya abhanu.
and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might kill him; for they feared the people.
3 Shetani nengila munda ya Yuda Isikaliyote, unu ona aliga ali umwi wa bheeigisibhwa ekumi na bhabhili.
And Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve.
4 Yuda nagenda naloma na bhakulu bha bhagabhisi kutyo alamutula Yesu mumabhoko gebhwe.
And he went away, and consulted with the chief priests and captains, how he might deliver him up to them.
5 Bhakondelewe, nibhalagana okumuyana jimpilya.
And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
6 Omwene ekilisishe, nayenja omwanya gwo kubhagwasha Yesu bhatabhao bhanu bhamfu.
And he agreed with them, and sought a good opportunity to deliver him up to them in the absence of the multitude.
7 Olusiku lwe mikate jinu jitalimo chifwibhya nilukinga, nibhusibhusi inama ya Pasaka isosibhwe.
Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed;
8 Yesu nabhatuma Petelo na Yowana, naikati,”Mugende mujochiyenjela ebhilyo bhya Ipasaka koleleki chije chilye.”
and he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and make ready for us the passover, that we may eat it.
9 Nibhamubhusha ati, “Naki anu owenda chikufulubhendele?”
And they said to him, Where wilt thou that we make it ready?
10 Nabhasubhya naikati,”Mutegeleshe, mbe mukengila mumusi, omuja obhonana no mulume etwikile echitumo echamanji kaja obhonana nemwe. Mumulubhe munyumba inu alengilamo.
And he said to them, Lo! when ye have entered the city, there will meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he goeth in;
11 Mukamala mumubhwila ati kanya nyumba,”Omwiigisha kakubhwila ati,”Chilyaki echumba cha bhagenyi, anu ndalila Ipasaka na bheigisibhwa bhanu?”
and ye shall say to the master of the house, The Teacher saith to thee, Where is the guest-chamber, where I may eat the passover with my disciples?
12 Kabholesha olusika lunu luli mwigolofa lunu lutegekele. Mukole amatayalisho omwo.”
And he will show you a large upper room furnished; there make ready.
13 Kulwejo nibhagenda, nibhasanga bhuli chinu lwa kutyo abhabhwilie. Nibhakalakanja ebhilyo bhya Ipasaka.
And they went and found as he had said to them; and they made ready the passover.
14 Omwanya gwejile gweya neyanja amwi na jintumwa jae.
And when the hour had come, he placed himself at table, and the apostles with him.
15 Neya nabhabhwila ati, “Nali nendele muno okulya Ipasaka inu amwi nemwe nichali kunyansibhwa.
And he said to them, Earnestly have I desired to eat this passover with you, before I suffer.
16 Kulwokubha enibhabhwila ati, nitalilya nemwe nakatyali okukingila lunu ilikumila mu bhukama bha Nyamuanga.”
For I say to you, that I shall eat it no more, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
17 Neya Yesu nagega echikombe, ejile amala okusima, naikati,”Mugege chinu, na mugabhane emwe kwe mwe.
And he took a cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves.
18 Kulwokubha enibhabhwila ati, nitalinywa lindi amatwasho go mujabhibhu, okukingilanu obhukama bhwa Nyamuanga bhulija.”
For I say to you, that I shall not drink henceforth of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall have come.
19 Neya nagega omukate, ejile amala okusima, nagubhega, nabhayana, naikati, “Gunu ni mubhili gwani gunu gusosibhwe ingulu yemwe. Mukolega kutyo nimunyichuka anye.”
And he took a loaf, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body, which is given for you; this do in remembrance of me.
20 Nagega echikombe kutyo kutyo okumala okulya ebhilyo bhya mungeta naikati,”Echikombe chinu niyo indagano inyaya mumanyinga gani, ganu agetika kulwemwe.
And in like manner he took the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is about to be shed for you.
21 Nawe mwiyangalile. Unu kandila iniku alyamwi nanye ku meja.
But lo! the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.
22 Kulwokubha Omwana wa Adamu kagenda lwa kutyo alagiliwe. Nawe jilimubhona omunu oyo okutula kumwene Omwana wa Adamu kamulomela iniku!
For the Son of man indeed goeth away, as it hath been determined; but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed.
23 Nibhamba okubhushanya abhene kwa bhene niga mubhumwi bhwebhwe unu katula okola omusango ogwo.
And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that was about to do this.
24 Nigeya nijisokamo jimamba agati yebhwe niga unu keganilisibhwa kubha mukulu okukila bhona.
And there arose also a contention among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.
25 Nabhabhwila ati,”Abhakama bha bhanu bha maanga abhatungwa na bhanu bhali no bhuinga ingulu yebhwe, abhatungwa na bhalende na bhatungi.
And he said to them, The kings of the nations rule as lords over them, and they who exercise authority over them are called benefactors.
26 Nawe kwemwe jiteile kubha kutyo. Mbe, unu kenda obhukulu mwimwe abhe lwo mutoto. Na unu katangasha abhe lwa unu kafulubhendela abhejabho.
But it is not to be so with you; but let the greatest among you be as the youngest; and he that is chief, as he that serveth.
27 Kulwejo omukulu niga unu enyanjile kumeja tele unu kafulubhenda? Angu atali unu enyanjile kumeja? Nawe anye nili agati yemwe lwa unu kafulubhenda.
For which is greater? he who reclineth at the table, or he who serveth? Is not he that reclineth at the table? But I am in the midst of you as he who serveth.
28 Nawe emwe nimwe mwikomesishe okugendelela okubha nanye mumalegejo gani.
Ye however are they who have continued steadfastly with me in my trials.
29 Enibhayana emwe obhukama, lwa kutyo Lata ananile anye obhukama,
And I appoint to you a kingdom, as my Father appointed to me;
30 Koleleki mubhone okulya no kunywa kunenda yani mubhukama bhwani. Na mulinyanja kubhitebhe bhye chibhalo na mulamula nganda ekumi nebhili eja Isilaeli.
that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and ye shall sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
31 Simoni, Simoni, menyanti Shetani asabhilwe abhabhone koleleki abhasungule lwo bhulo.
Simon, Simon, lo! Satan hath asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.
32 Nawe nakusabhiwe, okwikilisha kwao kusige kusingwa. Nalibha wasubha lindi ubhakomeshe abhana bhanyu.”
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not. And do thou, when thou hast returned to me, strengthen thy brethren.
33 Petero namubhwila ati, “Lata Bhugenyi, nimaliliye okuja nawe mwibhoelo nolo kufwa ona.”
And he said to him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee both to prison and to death.
34 Yesu nasubhya naikati,”Enikubhwila Petelo, inkokolomi ichali kukokolima ounyigana kwiya kasatu ati utakumenya.”
And he said, I tell thee, Peter, a cock will not crow this day, till thou hast thrice denied that thou knowest me.
35 Yesu nabhabhwila ati, “Anu nabhatumile mutali na yela amwi chikapo che bhilyo amwi bhikwilya mwalebhelwe chinu chona chona?” Nibhamusubhyati ati, “uli.”
And he said to them, When I sent you without purse, or bag, or sandals, were ye in need of anything? And they said, Of nothing. Then he said to them,
36 Mbe nabhabhwila ati, “Woli anu unu ali na jiela agege, owechikakapo che bhilyo nagege. Na unu atali na chigwato nagushe echifwalo chaye agule echigwato chimwi.
But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a bag; and he that hath not, let him sell his garment, and buy a sword.
37 Okubha enibhabhwila ati, gona ganu gandikilwe ingulu Yani ni bhusibhusi gakumile, Na agegibhwe lwo munu unu ali munyamusi we bhilagilo.'Kubha jinu jilagilwe ingulu yani echikumila.”
For I say to you, that this which is written must be accomplished in me: “And he was reckoned among transgressors.” For that which concerneth me also hath an end.
38 Mbe nibhaikati, Latabhugenyi Lola galiwanu mapanga gabhili.”Nabhabhwila “geile”.
And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said to him, It is enough!
39 Bhejile bhamala ebhilyo bhya mungeta, Yes nauluka, nagenda kutyo aliga nakola Bhuli katungu nagenda kuchima cha Mujeituni, na bheigisibhwa nibhamulubha.
And going out, he went, as he was wont, to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples followed him.
40 Bhejile bhakinga Nabhabhwila ati, “Musabhwe mutaja kwingila mumalegejo.”
And when he was at the place, he said to them, Pray that ye may not enter into temptation.
41 Omwene nagenda katafio lwa wokulasa libhui, nafukama nasabhwa.
And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw; and kneeling down he prayed,
42 naikati,”Lata ukenda, soshako echikombe chinu. Nawe tikwo kutyo anye enenda, Tali awe elyenda lyao likumile.”
saying, Father, if thou art willing to remove this cup from me—yet not my will, but thine be done!
43 Mbe malaika nasoka mulwile namusolomokela, namutamo amanaga.
And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him.
44 Omwene aliga ali no bhutaka bhamfu neyongesha okusabhwa, amoyilo gae nigabha lwa maguma ga manyinga nigatonyela ansi.
And being in an agony, he prayed more earnestly. And his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling to the ground.
45 Ejile akemuka anu amalile okusabhwa, naja kubheigisibhwa bhae, nasanga bhaongee kulwobhusulumbae.
And rising up from prayer, he came to the disciples, and found them sleeping for sorrow,
46 Nabhabhusha ati,”Kubhaki muongee? Mwimuke Musabhwe, mutaja kwingila mumalegejo.”
and said to them, Why sleep ye? Rise, and pray that ye may not enter into temptation.
47 Anu aliga achaika, mbe bhanu bhamfu nibhaja, na Yuda niwe umwi wa jintumwa ekumi ne bhili nabhatangatila. Nafugela ku Yesu okumunyunya,
While he was yet speaking, lo! a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, was at the head of them; and he drew near to Jesus to kiss him.
48 Nawe Yesu namubhwila ati,”Yuda oulomela iniku Omwana waAdamu kwo okumunyunya?”
But Jesus said to him, Judas, dost thou betray the Son of man with a kiss?
49 Na bhanu bhaliga bhali yeyi na Yesu bhejile bhalola jinu ejenda okubhao nibhaikati, “Latabhugenyi, chibhasane na mapanga?”
And they who were about him, seeing what would follow, said, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
50 Mbe oumwi kwabho nasana omugaya wo mugabhisi omukulu, namutemako okutwi kwae okwebhulyo.
And one of them smote the servant of the high-priest, and cut off his right ear.
51 Yesu naikati, “musige mbele. Nakunyako kukutwi kwae namuosha.
But Jesus answering said, Permit thus far; and touched his ear, and healed him.
52 Yesu nabhabhusha omugabhisi omukulu, na bhakulu bha muyekalu, na bhakaluka bhanu bhaliga bhatamuliko,”Mwanyijila kutyo omuja okulwana na musakusina mapanga na masimbo?
Then Jesus said to the chief priests and captains of the temple and elders who had come to him, Ye have come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs;
53 Anu nabhaga nemwe kunsiku jona mu yekalu mutagololaga mabhoko gemwe ingulu Yani. Nawe gunu nigwo omwanya gwemwe no bhuinga bhwe chisute”
when I was daily with you in the temple, ye did not put forth your hands against me; but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
54 Nibhamugwata, nibhamutangasha, nibhamugwata munyumba yo mugabhisi mukulu. Nawe Petelo namulubhaga echundileo.
And they seized him, and led him away, and brought him into the house of the high-priest. And Peter followed afar off.
55 Bhejile bhamala okukuma omulilo agati mulugo nibheyanja ansi Petelo nabheyanjamo agati yebhwe.
And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the court, and had sat down together, Peter sat down among them.
56 Omugaya umwi omugasi namulola Petelo eyanjile mubhwelu bhwo mulilo namulolelela kenekene namubhwila ati,”Unu ona ali alinage”.
But a certain maid-servant saw him sitting at the fire, and steadily looking at him said, This man also was with him.
57 Nawe Petero negana naikati,”mugasi awe anye nitakumumenya.”
And he denied him, saying, Woman, I do not know him.
58 Kwisinja etoto, omunu oundi namulola naikati,”Awona uli wejabho”. Nawe Petero namusubhya ati,”Mulume, anye uli.”
And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou also art one of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
59 Gwejile gwalabhao omwanya kuti esaa limwi, Mulume umwi namukomelesha naikati,”Ni chimali unu ona ali amwi nage Okubha ni Mugalilaya.”
And in about one hour's time, another confidently affirmed, saying, In truth this man also was with him; for he is a Galilaean.
60 Nawe Petelo naikati,”Mulume, nitakumenya chinu owaika.”Awo nawo, achaloma ingo'kolome nikokolima.
And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he was yet speaking, a cock crew.
61 Mbe Latabhugenyi nainduka, nalola Petelo. Petelo nechuka omusango gwa Latabhugenyi, gunu aliga amubhwiliye ati, ingo'kolome ichali kukokolima lelo ounyigana anye kwiya kasatu.
And the Lord turned and looked upon Peter; and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, that he had said to him, Before a cock crows this day, thou wilt thrice deny me.
62 “Nauluka Anja nalila kwa lisungu masiga mogomogo.
And he went out, and wept bitterly.
63 Mbe abhalume bhanu bhaliga nibhamugwata Yesu, nibhamugwata nibhamubhuma.
And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and beat him;
64 Nibhamugwata ameso, nibhamubhuma nibhaikati,”Yaika niga unu akubhuma?”.
and having blindfolded him, they asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that struck thee?
65 Nibhaikati misango myamfu ejokumufuma no kumujimya omwene.
And many other things did they scoffingly say against him.
66 Mbe bhejile bhwacha, abhakaluka bha bhanu nibhekofyanya amwi, abhakulu bhwa bhagabhisi na bhandiki. Nibhamugwata mwi gombolojo,
And when it was day, the elders of the people, both chief priests and scribes, came together, and brought him before their council, saying,
67 nibhaikati,”Alabha nawe Kristo, chibhwile.”Nawe omwene Nabhabhwila ati, nolo Nabhabhwila mutakwikilisha,
If thou art the Christ, tell us. And he said to them, If I tell you, ye will not believe;
68 nolo nkabhabhusha mutakunsubhya”.
and if I ask, ye will not answer.
69 Nawe okwambila Woli no kugendelela, Omwana wa Adamu kaja okwiyanja mukubhoko kwe bhulyo kwa manage ga Nyamuanga.
But from this time the Son of man will sit on the right hand of the power of God.
70 “Bhona nibhaikati, “Nawe Omwana wa Nyamuanga?”Mbe Yesu Nabhabhwila ati,”Lwakutyo mwaika nanye.”
Then they all said, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said to them, Ye say what is true; for I am.
71 Nibhaikati,”Chichendaki obhubhambasi bhundi? Okubha eswe abhene chonguwe mukanwa kae omwene.”
And they said, What further need have we of testimony? For we have ourselves heard from his own mouth.
