1 Utekilisha omutima gwao okunyaka. Omumwikilisha Nyamuanga nyikilisha nanye.
Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God; believe also in me.
2 Munyumba ya Lata yani bhulimo obwikalo bhafu bho kwiyanja; alibha itali kutyo, nakakubwila, enigenda okubhachumila obhwikalo kulwawe.
In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 Alabha nikagenda okubhachumila obwikalo, enija lindi okubhakalibhisha kwanye, anu nili nemwe ona mubheo.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you with myself, that where I am, you may be also.
4 Omumenya injila enuenigenda.”
And whither I go you know, and the way you know.
5 Tomaso namubwila Yesu ati,”Lata bhugenyi, chitakumenya eyo ouja; Mbe! Echitulatiki okuimenya injila?
Thomas said to him: Lord, we know not whither thou goest, and how can we know the way?
6 Yesu namubwila ati,”Nanye injila, nechimali no bhuanga; atalio unu katula okuja ku Lata atalabhile kwanye.
Jesus said to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through me.
7 Alabha mumenyele anye, mwakamumenyele na Lata wani ona; Okusoka woli nokugendelela mumenyele na mwamulolele mwene.”
If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. And from this time you know him, and have seen him.
8 Philipo namubwila Yesu ati.”Latabhugenyi, choleleshe Lata na kutyo ebhichimala.”
Philip said to him: Lord, show us the Father, and we shall be content.
9 Yesu namubwila ati,” muli amwi anye mwanya bhafu, kutya utakumenya anye, Philipo? wona oyo alolele anye amulolele Lata Niki chinu owaika ati,' choleshe Lata'?
Jesus said to him: Have I been so long with you, and have you not known me, Philip? He that has seen me, has seen the Father; and how say you, Show us the Father?
10 Mtakwikilisha kubha anye ndi mu Lata, na Lata ali mwanye? Emisango jinu enibhabwila kwemwe nitakwaika kwo bhutulo bhanila; nawe ni Lata unu ekaye mwanye oyokakola emilimu jaye.
Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself. The Father who dwells in me, he does the works.
11 Nyikilisha anye, ati nili mu Lata, na Lata ali amwi nanye; Nyikilisha anye kwe emilimu jani.
Believe me, that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me. If not, believe me on account of the works themselves.
12 Nichimali, chimali, nabhabwila ati, oyo kanyikilisha, anye nimilimu, ejoenikola, kajikola emilimu jinu ona; na kakola nolwo emilimu minene kwo kubha enilagenda ku Lata.
Verily, verily I say to you, he that believes on me, the works that I do he also shall do. Even greater works than these shall he do, because I go to my Father;
13 Chona chona mulisabwa kwa lisina lyani, enikola koleleki Lata akusibwe ku mwana.
and whatever you ask in my name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 Alabha mukasabwa echinu chonachona kwisina lyani elyo enikola.
If you ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 Alabha mukanyenda, mulagwataga ebhilagilo byani.
If you love me, keep my commandments;
and I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Paraclete, that he may dwell with you forever; (aiōn g165)
17 Omwoyo we chimali. unu isi inu itakutula kumwikilisha omwene kwo kubha itakumulola, itakumumenya omwene. nolwo kutyo emwe, mumumenyele omwene, kubha ekaye amwi nemwe na alibhaga amwi nemwe.
the Spirit of the truth, whom the world can not receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, because he dwells with you, and shall be in you.
18 Nitalibhasiga bhene; enisubha kwemwe.
I will not leave you orphans; I am coming to you.
19 Ku mwanya mutoto, isi itakundola lindi, nawe emwe omundola. Okubha anye ndi muanga, nemwe mulibha bhaanga ona.
Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; but you shall see me. Because I live, you also shall live.
20 Ku lusiku olwo mulimenya ati anye ndi mu Lata, nemwe muli mwanye, nanye nili mwemwe
In that clay you shall know that I am in my Father, arid you in me, and I in you.
21 Wona wona oyokagwata ebhilagilo byani no kujikola, niwe umwi unu kanyenda anye; oyo kanyenda anye kendwa na Lata wani, enimwenda eniyelesha anye kumwene kwaye.”
He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me; and he that loves me shall be loved by my Father; and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Yuda (atali Iskariyote) namubwila Yesu ati,”Lata bhugenyi, Mbe! nanye echisokelela ati owiyolesha omwene kweswe na atali kusi?
Judas, not Iscariot, said to him: Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself to us, and not to the world?
23 Yesu nasubya naika ati,”Alabha wona wona akanyenda, aligwata omisango gwani. Lata wani alimwenda, nechija kweye na chilikola obwikalo bweswe amwi nage.
Jesus answered and said to him: If any one loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him.
24 Wona wona unu atakunyenda anye, atakugwata misango jani. Omusango gunu ogwomwogwa gutali gwani nawe Lata unu antumile.
He that loves me not, keeps not my words; and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
25 Nagaika ganu kwemwe, omwanya guchali nikaye kwemwe.
These things have I spoken to you, while I am yet with you.
26 Nolwo kutyo omusilisha, Omwoyo mwelu, onu Lata antumile kwa lisina lyaye, alibheigisha emisango jona na alibhakola na alibhechusha jona ejo naikile kwemwe.
But the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I have spoken to you.
27 Omulembe nabhayana omulembe gwani anye. Nitakubhana lwa isi kutyo eibhayana. Mutakola emitima jemwe kulumwalumwa no kubhaya.
Peace I leave to you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, and let it not be afraid.
28 Mwoguwe ganu nabhabwiliye ati,'Enigenda jani, nenisubha kwemwe.'alabha muchisanga munyendele anye, bhakabheye na likondelelwa okubha enigenda ku Lata, okubha ni mukulu kukila amwe.
You have heard that I said to you, I am going away, and am coming again to you. If you loved me, you would rejoice, because I go to the Father; for my Father is greater than I.
29 Woli namalile okubhabwila ati alibha chabhao koleleki, chibheo mwikilishe.
And now I have told you before it comes to pass, that when it does come to pass, you may believe.
30 Nitachaika nemwe emisango mwafu, okubha omukulu wa isi inu kaja. Omwene atali na managa ingulu yani,
I will not talk much more with you; for the prince of this world is coming, and has nothing in me.
31 Nawe koleleki isi ibhone okumenya ati namwendele Lata, enikola chinu Lata andagiliye anye, kutyo anaye ebhilagilo. Mwimuke na chisoke anu.
But this takes place that the world may know that I love the Father, and even as he gave me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
