Ebhikolwa bhya Jintumwa 27
1 Yejile yalamulwa ati kuchiile chigende mu lugendo lwa maji okuja Italia, nibhamuyana Paulo nabhabhoywa abhandi KU mukulu umwi wa abhasilikale abhe chirumi unu abhilikilwaga Julio, owe chise cha Agustani.
And when our sailing to Italy was determined, they were delivering up both Paul and certain others, prisoners, to a centurion, by name Julius, of the band of Sebastus,
2 Nichilinya mu meli okusoka Adramitamu, inu yaliga niyenda okulabha mu mbhalama ya injejekela ya Asia. Kwibhyo nichingila mu nyanja. Aristaka okusoka Thesalonike eya Makedonia nagenda amwi neswe.
and having embarked in a ship of Adramyttium, we, being about to sail by the coasts of Asia, did set sail, there being with us Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica,
3 Olunaku olwo lwalubhie nichilasa inanga mu musi gwa Sidoni, kenu Julio amukolee Paulo kwo bhwila no kumwikilisisha okuja ku bhasani bhae kwo kulamila obhwila bhwebhe.
on the next [day] also we touched at Sidon, and Julius, courteously treating Paul, did permit [him], having gone on unto friends, to receive [their] care.
4 Okusoka ao nichigenda nichilabha mu nyanja no kwiinda kwisinga lya Kipro linu ligukingilisishe omuyaga, kwa insonga omuyaga gwaliga niguchisoka imbele.
And thence, having set sail, we sailed under Cyprus, because of the winds being contrary,
5 Chejile chikaja mu lugendo nichilabha mu maji ganu galiga gali ayei na Kilikia na Pamfilia, nichija mila, Omusi gwa Lisia.
and having sailed over the sea over-against Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myria of Lycia,
6 Alia omukulu ulya owa abhasilikale bhe chiloma, naisanga Imeli okusoka Alexandria eyo yaliga niyenda okugenda Italia. Nachinyisha munda yayo.
and there the centurion having found a ship of Alexandria, sailing to Italy, did put us into it,
7 Chejile chikea nichigenda mulugendo malamala kwa naku nyafu kubhutelo nichikinga kwa jinyako ayei na kinidas, omuyaga gwa chiganyishe lindi okugendelela injila eyo, kutyo nichigenda mulugendo katoto ya lilengesi cha Krete nichigukilisha omuyanga, nichilolelela na salmone.
and having sailed slowly many days, and with difficulty coming over-against Cnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed under Crete, over-against Salmone,
8 Nichija mulugendo nichibhalama kujejekela ya inyanja kwo bhukomee, Nio nichikinga Anu aliga natogwa Fari Haveni enyo ili ayei no musi gwa Lasi.
and hardly passing it, we came to a certain place called 'Fair Havens,' nigh to which was the city [of] Lasaea.
9 Chaliga chagegere mwanya mwafu muno, no mwanya gwe chisibho gwe chiyaudi gwliga gwatulile one, na oli yaliga ili nyako okugendelela mulugendo. Kwibhyo Paulo nachigonya,
And much time being spent, and the sailing being now dangerous — because of the fast also being already past — Paul was admonishing,
10 No kwaika, “Bhalume, enilola olugendo olwo echenda okulugega echitula okufyilwamo no bhuuta bhwafu, bhutalila bhe mijingo na imeli, nawe one no bhulame bhweswe.”
saying to them, 'Men, I perceive that with hurt, and much damage, not only of the lading and of the ship, but also of our lives — the voyage is about to be;'
11 Mbe nawe omukulu wa bhasilikale bhe chiloma nibhamutegelesha muno esebhugenyi wae kanya meli, okusiga emisango jilya ejo jaikilwe na Paulo.
but the centurion to the pilot and to the shipowner gave credence more than to the things spoken by Paul;
12 KU songa echigobho chaliga chitakondele okwikala omwanya gwa imbeo, abhafugi bhafu nibhaika chigende chisokeo aliya, koleleki kwa njila yona yona chikatula okugukingila Omusi gwa Foinike, chiyanje eyo omwanya gwa imbeo. Foinike Ni chigobho eyo Krete, na eilola mubhuanga ebhutulika esubha na mumalimbe ge bhutuluka esubha.
and the haven being incommodious to winter in, the more part gave counsel to sail thence also, if by any means they might be able, having attained to Phenice, [there] to winter, [which is] a haven of Crete, looking to the south-west and north-west,
13 Omuyaga gwa malimbe gwejile gwamba okuyebha malamala, abhafugi nibheganilisha bhabhona chinu bhaliga bhakenele. Nibhakola inanga no kulabha kumbali ya Krete ayei na kunjejekela.
and a south wind blowing softly, having thought they had obtained [their] purpose, having lifted anchor, they sailed close by Crete,
14 Mbe nawe mwanya mufui niguyemba omuyaga, mwafu ogwe chiule, gunu gwaliga nigubhilikilwa gwa ikomaji, nigwamba okuchibhuma nigusoka ku mbali ya lisinga.
and not long after there arose against it a tempestuous wind, that is called Euroclydon,
15 Wejile imeli yatabhwa no kuigwa okulosha mu bhutwe, Mbe nichikilishanya nejo nichigenda nabho.
and the ship being caught, and not being able to bear up against the wind, having given [her] up, we were borne on,
16 Nichilukila kwo kulabha kumbhali anu chaliga nichikinga omuyaga gwa lisinga linu lyatogwaga Kauda; na kulwa Jinyako muno nichisakilwa okubhukisha obhwato.
and having run under a certain little isle, called Clauda, we were hardly able to become masters of the boat,
17 Wejile bhamala okuikulula, bhagegele jingoye ejokuibhoyela imeli. Bhobhaile ati bhasiga kuja kwi bhala lyo musenyi mwafu ogwa inoto, kwibho nibhesa inanga nibhasilwa kunjejekela.
which having taken up, they were using helps, undergirding the ship, and fearing lest they may fall on the quicksand, having let down the mast — so were borne on.
18 Chabhumilwe muno no muyaga gwe chiule, kwibho olunaku olwo lwalubhie abhafugisha nibhamba okwesa ebhinu bhinu bhaliga bhaikile mu meli.
And we, being exceedingly tempest-tossed, the succeeding [day] they were making a clearing,
19 Olunaku lwa kasatu, abhafugisha bha mu meli nibhamba okusabhula amaji kwa amabhoko gebhwe abhene.
and on the third [day] with our own hands the tackling of the ship we cast out,
20 Mu mwanya ogwo lisubha na jinyota bhitachisekanie kwa naku nyafu, no muyaga gwe chiule nigugendelela-la okuchibhuma, okwiikanya ati echija okukisibhwa nikuwao.
and neither sun nor stars appearing for more days, and not a little tempest lying upon us, thenceforth all hope was taken away of our being saved.
21 Wejile gwagendelela mwanya mulela obhutalya bhilyo, ao Paulo nemelegulu agati- gati ya abhafugisha bhalya naika, “Bhalume, sanga munyiile muntegeleshe, na chitakasokele krete, koleleki chitakabhwene mauta ganu no kufwilwamo kunu.
And there having been long fasting, then Paul having stood in the midst of them, said, 'It behoved [you], indeed, O men — having hearkened to me — not to set sail from Crete, and to save this hurt and damage;
22 Wolyanu enibhasilisha musimbagilile emyoyo, kwa insonga atalio unu alabhusha bhulame mwime, atali okufwilwamo-ela imeli.
and now I exhort you to be of good cheer, for there shall be no loss of life among you — but of the ship;
23 Kunsonga mungeta inu yatulile Malaika wa Nyamuanga, unu Ali Nyamuanga anye nili wae, na unu enimulamya one - Malaika wae emeleguyu kumbali yanye
for there stood by me this night a messenger of God — whose I am, and whom I serve —
24 no kwaika, “Wasiga kubhayana Paulo. Nibhusi-bhusi wimelegulu imbhele ya Kaisari, na Lola, Nyamuanga mu bhwekisi bhae akuyanile bhanu bhona bhanu oulibhata amwi nabho mulugendo.
saying, Be not afraid Paul; before Caesar it behoveth thee to stand; and, lo, God hath granted to thee all those sailing with thee;
25 Kwibhyo, bhalume, mukomele, kunsonga enimwikilisha Nyamuanga, ati ejijokubha lwa kutyo nabhwilwa.
wherefore be of good cheer, men! for I believe God, that so it shall be, even as it hath been spoken to me,
26 Mbe nawe Ni bhusi-bhusi muutasibhwe kwo kubhumwa mu bhisiga ebhindi.”
and on a certain island it behoveth us to be cast.'
27 Yejile yakinga ingeta ye kumi na kana, anu chaliga nichisilwa eyo neyo munyanja ya Adratik, kuti mugeta agati bhwile bukulu kutya, abhafugisha bha mu meli bhalya nibhelisha ati bhalebhelee ku chalo.
And when the fourteenth night came — we being borne up and down in the Adria — toward the middle of the night the sailors were supposing that some country drew nigh to them;
28 Nibhalenga obhulela ebhita bhya maji nibhabhona bhita ekumi na munana, okumala mwanya mufui nibhalenga lindi nibhabhona bhita munana na inusu.
and having sounded they found twenty fathoms, and having gone a little farther, and again having sounded, they found fifteen fathoms,
29 Bhobhaile okwamba ati echitula okuyalila ku mabhui, kwibhyo nibhesha amasikyo gana okusoka mu mabhala go kutelako amasikyo na nibhasabhwa ati nibhuche bhwangu.
and fearing lest on rough places we may fall, out of the stern having cast four anchors, they were wishing day to come.
30 Abhafugisha bhalya bhaliga nibhaiga lwa kutyo bhalaisiga imeli ilya nibhesha ebhyato bhitoto-toto ebhyo kwelulilamo obhulame, na nibhekola uti abhenda kwisha amasikyo okusoka mu mabhala ga imbele yo bhwato.
And the sailors seeking to flee out of the ship, and having let down the boat to the sea, in pretence as [if] out of the foreship they are about to cast anchors,
31 Mbe nawe Paulo namubhwila omukulu ulya wa bhasilikale bhe chiloma na abhasilikale bhalya, “Mutakutula kukila atali abhanu bhanu bhalasigala ku meli.”
Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, 'If these do not remain in the ship — ye are not able to be saved;'
32 Okumala abhasilikale bhalya nibhagenga jingoye jiliya ejo bhwato na ngasigwa koleleki gagegwe na maji.
then the soldiers did cut off the ropes of the boat, and suffered it to fall off.
33 Omwanya gwo bhwelu bhwa katondo gwjile gwamba okubhonekana, Paulo nabhelembeleja bhona nolwo ati bhalyeko kutoto. Naika, Lelo Ni lunaku lwe kumi na kana lunu mwaliga nimulindilila obhutalya, muchali kulya chinu.
And till the day was about to be, Paul was calling upon all to partake of nourishment, saying, 'Fourteen days to-day, waiting, ye continue fasting, having taken nothing,
34 Kwibhyo enibhelembeleja mugege ebhilyo bhitoto, kunsonga inu kubheile okulama kwemwe; na lutalio Nolwo lufwili lumwi ku mitwe jemwe lunu olutula okubhula.
wherefore I call upon you to take nourishment, for this is for your safety, for of not one of you shall a hair from the head fall;'
35 Ejile amala okwaika ago, nagega omukate namusima Nyamuanga imbhele ya meso ga bhuli munu. Okumala nagumonyolako omukate namba okulya.
and having said these things, and having taken bread, he gave thanks to God before all, and having broken [it], he began to eat;
36 Okumala bhona nibhasimbagilila emyoyo na bhene nibhagega ebhilyo.
and all having become of good cheer, themselves also took food,
37 Chaliga bhanu magana gabhili na makumi musanju na mukaga bhanu chaliga mu meli.
(and we were — all the souls in the ship — two hundred, seventy and six),
38 Bhejile bhamala okulya ebhyokubheya, nibhaikola imeli kubha nyangu kwokwesa intanda ya ingano mu nyanja.
and having eaten sufficient nourishment, they were lightening the ship, casting forth the wheat into the sea.
39 Bhwejile bhwacha, bhatachimenyele echalo echo, nawe nibhalola libhala lye chalo linu lyaliga lili ekonda lingie mu maji linu lyaliga lyo musenyi mwafu. Nibhaikana ati alabha abhatula okuisila imeli awo.
And when the day came, they were not discerning the land, but a certain creek were perceiving having a beach, into which they took counsel, if possible, to thrust forward the ship,
40 Kwibhyo nibhagasulumula amasikyo nibhagasiga mu nyanja. Mu mwanya ogwo ogwo nibhatatilila jingoe eja litanga na nibhenamusha libhala elya imbhele okulolelesha mu muyaga, kwibhyo nibhagenda mwi bhala elyo musenyi mwafu.
and the anchors having taken up, they were committing [it] to the sea, at the same time — having loosed the bands of the rudders, and having hoisted up the mainsail to the wind — they were making for the shore,
41 Mbe nawe nibhaja mu lubhala lwa jingeji ebhili eja maji Anu ejibhonanila, imeli nija Kunsenyi. Na lilya libhala lya imbele elya imeli niyalila alya na itatulile kusokao, nawe libhala elya imbele ya imeli nilyamba okubhutuka kunsonga yo bhwafu bwa amakonjo.
and having fallen into a place of two seas, they ran the ship aground, and the fore-part, indeed, having stuck fast, did remain immoveable, but the hinder-part was broken by the violence of the waves.
42 Abhasilikale bhalya nibhalwaja lwa kutyo bhalabheta abhabhoywa, koleleki ati atalio unu akatulile okuuga no kwiluka.
And the soldiers' counsel was that they should kill the prisoners, lest any one having swam out should escape,
43 Mbe nawe ulya omukulu wa abhasilikale bhe chiloma aliga nenda okumukisha Paulo, kwibhyo nabhaganya; No kubhalagilila bhalya bhanu abhatula okuuga, bhejunge okusoka mu meli okwamba na bhaje ku chalo.
but the centurion, wishing to save Paul, hindered them from the counsel, and did command those able to swim, having cast themselves out first — to get unto the land,
44 Okumala abhalume abhandi abhabhalubha, abhandi ingulu ye ebhibhalala bhya jimbau na abhandi ingulu ye bhinu ebhindi okusoka mu meli. Ku njila inu nijibhonekana ati bhona echijokukinga ku chalo kwo bhwana bhwana.
and the rest, some indeed upon boards, and some upon certain things of the ship; and thus it came to pass that all came safe unto the land.
