< Ebhikolwa bhya Jintumwa 26 >
1 Kwibhyo, Agripa namubhwila Paulo, 'Owikilisibhwa okwililila.' Niwo Paulo nagolola okubhoko kwae nelilila kutya.
Then Agrippa said to Paul: Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretching forth his hand, began to make his answer.
2 “Enilola no bhukondeleywe, Omukama Agripa, koleleki ikoleke ikesi yani imbele yao lelo ku masitaka gone aga bhayaudi.
I think myself happy, O king Agrippa, that I am to answer for myself this day before thee, touching all the things whereof I am accused by the Jews.
3 Kulwo kubha, awe uli mumenyi wa jintungwa ja bhayaudi na masubhyo. Kulwejo enisabhwa untegeleshe kwo kwikomesha
Especially as thou knowest all, both customs and questions that are among the Jews: Wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
4 Ni chimali, abhayaudi bhona abhamenya lwakutyo naliga nikae kusoka mu bhusigaji bhwani mwi Yanga lwani eyo Yerusalemu.
And my life indeed from my youth, which was from the beginning among my own nation in Jerusalem, all the Jews do know:
5 Bhamenyele kusoka mu bwambilo kulwejo kubheile okwikilisha ati nekae kuti mufarisayo, lijeebhu elyo bhwima bhululu mu dini yeswe.
Having known me from the beginning (if they will give testimony) that according to the most sure sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
6 Woli nimeleguyu anu nilamulwe kulwo kubha anye enilola omulago gunu Nyamuanga akolele na bhalata bheswe.
And now for the hope of the promise that was made by God to the fathers, do I stand subject to judgment:
7 Gunu ni mulago gunu jiganda jeswe ekumi ne bhili jili no kwiikanya okulamila labha bhakamulamya Nyamuanga kwa managa mugeta na mu mwisi. Ni ingulu ye liikanya linu, Omukama Agripa, ati abhayaudi abhansitaka.
Unto which, our twelve tribes, serving night and day, hope to come. For which hope, O king, I am accused by the Jews.
8 Kulwaki wona wona agati yemwe keganilisha ebhilugusho ati Nyamuanga kasulula abhafue?
Why should it be thought a thing incredible, that God should raise the dead?
9 Omwanya gumwi neganilisishe omwene ati nakakolele misango myafu ingulu ya lisina lya Yesu owa nanjaleti.
And I indeed did formerly think, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
10 Nakolele ganu mu Yerusalemu; Nabhabhoyele abhekilisha bhafu mwibhoyelo, naliga no bhutulo okusoka kubhagabhisi Abhakulu okukola kutyo; omwanya ogwo nibhetwa, nabhumile nibhetogya ingulu yebhe
Which also I did at Jerusalem, and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority of the chief priests: and when they were put to death, I brought the sentence.
11 Omwanya mwafu nabhabhumile mu likofyanyisho lyona na legejishe okubhakola bhasige elikilisha lyebhwe. Naliga ne bhinyiga muno ingulu yebhwe nibabhilimya nolyo mu misi Jo bhugenyi.
And oftentimes punishing them, in every synagogue, I compelled them to blaspheme: and being yet more mad against them, I persecuted them even unto foreign cities.
12 Omwanya ogwo naliga Nikola ganu, Nagendele Damesiki, na liga no bhutulo na malagililo okusoka KU bhagabhisi Abhakulu; Ao naliga nili mu njila omwanya gwa mu
Whereupon when I was going to Damascus with authority and permission of the chief priest,
13 mwisi, Omukama, nalolele obhwelu okusoka mulwile gunu gwaliga gusekanile kukila lisubha nigulabhangilya nigusingila anye na bhanu bhanu haliga nibhalibhata amwi nanye.
At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me, and them that were in company with me.
14 Eswe bhona chejile chikagwa ansi, no nguwe Obhulaka Ni bhaika nanye nibhwaika mu lulimi lwe chiebulania: -Sauli, Sauli KU bhanki ounysha? chikomee kwawe okubhala omugele kwi chumu.
And when we were all fallen down on the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me in the Hebrew tongue: Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? It is hard for thee to kick against the goad.
15 Nio ninaika,'awe nawega, Latabhugenyi?' Latabhugenyi nasubya, 'Anye Ni Yesu unu ounyasha.
And I said: Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord answered: I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
16 Oli imuka wimelegulu kwa magulu gao; Ku songa inu anye nabhonekana kwawe, nakusola okubha mukosi no mubhambhasi ingulu ye misango ejo oumenya kulubhana nanye oli ne misango ejo nilakwelesha imbele;
But rise up, and stand upon thy feet: for to this end have I appeared to thee, that I may make thee a minister, and a witness of those things which thou hast seen, and of those things wherein I will appear to thee,
17 Enikukisha okusoka KU bhanu na bhanu bha maanga kwabho enikutuma,
Delivering thee from the people, and from the nations, unto which now I send thee:
18 Oufundukula ameso gebhwe no kubhasosha mu chisute no kuja mu bhwelu no kusoka mu managa ga nyakusheta bhamulubhe Nyamuanga; Koleleki bhabhone okulamila okusoka ku Nyamuanga okusasilwa kwe bhikayo no kulya omwandu kunu nibhayanile bhalya bhanu nauye ku likilisha linu Lili kwanye.
To open their eyes, that they may be converted from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and a lot among the saints, by the faith that is in me.
19 Kwibhyo, Omukama Agripa, nitatulile kulema ebhilolo bhya mulwile,
Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not incredulous to the heavenly vision:
20 nawe, kubhalya bhanu bhali mu Dameski okwamba, no kumala Yerusalemu na muchalo chona echa Yudea, one na KU bhanu bha maanga agandi, nasimuye ati bhate no kumuindukila Nyamuanga, bhakole ebhikolwa bhinu bhiile okuta.
But to them first that are at Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and unto all the country of Judea, and to the Gentiles did I preach, that they should do penance, and turn to God, doing works worthy of penance.
21 kwa insonga eyo abhayaudi bhangwatile mwiyekalu, nibhalegeja okunyita.
For this cause the Jews, when I was in the temple, having apprehended me, went about to kill me.
22 Nyamuanga ansakie kukinga woli, kwibhyo enimelegulu no kubhabhambalila abhanu bhanu bhenganilie na kubhalya bhakulu ingulu ya galya ganu abhalagi na Musa bhaikile ati galibhonekana Nolwo gatali gandi;
But being aided by the help of God, I stand unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other thing than those which the prophets, and Moses did say should come to pass:
23 Ati Kristo Ni bhusi bhusi anyasibhwe na kabha wo kwamba okusuluka okusoka mu bhafue no kwelesha obhwelu ku bhayaudi na KU bhanu bha maanga.
That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light to the people, and to the Gentiles.
24 Paulo ejile amala okwililila, Festo aikile kwo bhulaka bhunene, 'Paulo, awe uli musasii! lisoma lwao lyakukolele kubha musasi.
As he spoke these things, and made his answer, Festus said with a loud voice: Paul, thou art beside thyself: much learning doth make thee mad.
25 Mbe nawe Paulo naika ati, anye nitali musasi, mukulu we chibhalo Festo; nawe kwo bhubhasi naika emisango je chimali chenyele.
And Paul said: I am not mad, most excellent Festus, but I speak words of truth and soberness.
26 Kulwo kubha Omukama kamenya okulubhana ne misango jinu; Kwibho, enaika kwo kwiyagala KU mwene, kulwejo nili ne chimali ati gutalio gwona gwona gunu gwiselekele ku mwene, kulwo kubha gunu guchali kukolwa ku mbali.
For the king knoweth of these things, to whom also I speak with confidence. For I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him. For neither was any of these things done in a corner.
27 Angu, owikilisha abhalagi, Omukama Agripa? Enimenya ati owikilisha.
Believest thou the prophets, O king Agrippa? I know that thou believest.
28 'Agripa namubhwila Paulo, 'kwo mwanya mufui outula okunkongya anye no kunkola kubha mukristo?
And Agrippa said to Paul: In a little thou persuadest me to become a Christian.
29 Paulo naika ati, '“Enimusabhwa Nyamuanga ati kwo mwanya mufui amwi mulela, atali awe-la, nawe bhone bhanu abhanyungwa lelo, bhabhe Kanye nawe atali jiboelo ja mwibhoyelo.”
And Paul said: I would to God, that both in a little and in much, not only thou, but also all that hear me, this day, should become such as I also am, except these bands.
30 Niwo Omukama nemelegulu, no mutwale, na Bernike one, na bhalya bhanu bhaliga bhenyanjile amwi nabho,
And the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them.
31 Bhejile bhasokao mwigalagalilo, nibhelomela abhene kwa bhene no kwaika, 'omunu unu ateile kufwa Nolwo kubhoywa.'
And when they were gone aside, they spoke among themselves, saying: This man hath done nothing worthy of death or of bands.
32 Agripa namubhwila Festo, “Omunu unu chakamusigilela eyagale achilema okugendelela imbele KU Kaisari.”
And Agrippa said to Festus: This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed to Caesar.
