Ebhikolwa bhya Jintumwa 22
1 “Abhasu na Bhalata bhani, muntegeleshe obhwililisi bhwani bhunu nilakola kwemwe woli.”
Ye men, brethren and Fathers, heare my defence nowe towards you.
2 Amekofyanyisho Bhejile bhongwa Paulo naika nabho mu chieburaia, nibhajibhila. Naika,
(And when they heard that he spake in the Hebrewe tongue to them, they kept the more silence, and he sayd)
3 Anye nili Muyaudi, nibhuliwe mu musi gwa Tarso olubhala lwa kilikia, nawe nabhene obhengeso mu musi gunu mu magulu ga Gamalieli. Neigisibhwe okulubhana na jinjila jinu jimile je bhilagilo ja Bhalata bheswe. Anye enikomesha ku Nyamuanga, kutyo emwe mili lelo.
I am verely a man, which am a Iew, borne in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought vp in this citie at the feete of Gamaliel, and instructed according to the perfect maner of the Lawe of the Fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.
4 Nabhanyasishe ku njila inu kukingila okufwa; Nimbabhoya abhalume na abhagasi no kubhesa mwibhoyelo.
And I persecuted this way vnto the death, binding and deliuering into prison both men and women.
5 Nolwo Omugabhisi omukulu na abhakaluka bhona abhatula okusosha obhubhambasi ati nalamie inyalubha okusoka kubhene ingulu ya abhasu bhanu bhali Dameski, Kwanye anye okuja mu lugendo eyo. Yaliga ilyati nibhalete abhanu Yerusalemu abha injila iliya koleleki bhabhoywe no kunyasibhwa.
As also ye chiefe Priest doeth beare me witnes, and al the company of the Elders: of whom also I receiued letters vnto the brethren, and went to Damascus to bring them which were there, bound vnto Hierusalem, that they might be punished.
6 Yabhonekene ati anu naliga nili mulugendo ninfogela Dameski, omwanya gwa mu mwisi ao nao obhwelu bhwafu nibhusoka mu lwile nibhwamba okumulika.
And so it was, as I iourneyed and was come neere vnto Damascus about noone, that suddenly there shone from heauen a great light round about me.
7 Ningwa ansi no kungwa ubhulaka nibhumbwila, “Sauli, Sauli kubhaki ounyasha?”
So I fell vnto the earth, and heard a voyce, saying vnto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou mee?
8 Nisubhya, awe nawega Latabhugenyi?” Nambwila, anye nanye Yesu omunazareti, unu awe ounyasha.”
Then I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said to me, I am Iesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.

Moreouer they that were with me, sawe in deede a light and were afraide: but they heard not the voyce of him that spake vnto me.
10 Ninaika, nikole kutiki, Latabhugenyi?” Latabhugenyi Nambwila, “imelegulu wingile Damesiki; Eyo oubhwilwa bhuli chinu chinu chikwiile okukola;
Then I sayd, What shall I doe, Lord? And the Lord sayde vnto me, Arise, and goe into Damascus: and there it shall be tolde thee of all things, which are appointed for thee to doe.
11 Nitatulile kulola kunsonga yo kusekanilwa kwo bhwelu bhuliya niwo ningenda Damesiki kwo kutangasibhwa na mabhoko ga bhaliya bhaliga bhali nanye.
So when I could not see for the glory of that light, I was led by the hand of them that were with me, and came into Damascus.
12 Eyo nimbonana no munu unu katogwa Anania, aliga ali munu unu aliga agwatile ebhilagilo no we chibhalo imbhele ya bhayaudi bhona bhanu bhekae eyo.
And one Ananias a godly man, as perteining to the Lawe, hauing good report of all the Iewes which dwelt there,
13 Naja kwanye nemelegulu imbhele yani, no kwaika, “mwana wasu Sauli, ubhone Okulola. “kwo mwanya gulya gulya nimulola.
Came vnto me, and stoode, and sayd vnto me, Brother Saul, receiue thy sight: and that same houre I looked vpon him.
14 Naika, 'Nyamuanga wa bhalata bheswe akusolele awe umenye elyenda lyae, okumulola uliya omulengelesi, no kungwa Obhulaka bhwae bhunu obhusoka mukanwa kae.
And he sayd, The God of our fathers hath appointed thee, that thou shouldest knowe his wil, and shouldest see that Iust one, and shouldest heare the voyce of his mouth.
15 Ku songa oubha mubhambhasi kumwene ku bhanu bhona ingulu ya ganu walolele nokungwa.
For thou shalt be his witnes vnto all men, of the things which thou hast seene and heard.
16 Mbe oli ku bhaki otegelela? Imuka, ubhatijibhwe, woshe ebhikayo bhyao, ukalibhikila lisina lyae.'
Now therefore why tariest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sinnes, in calling on the Name of the Lord.
17 Nejile nasubha Yerusalemu, anu naliga nisabhwa mu yekalu, nibhonekana ati niyanwa ebhilollo.
And it came to passe, that when I was come againe to Hierusalem, and prayed in the Temple, I was in a traunce,
18 Nimulola nabhwila, yangua bhwangu usoke mu Yerusalemu, ku songa bhatakwikilisha obhubhambasi bhwao okulubhana nanye.'
And saw him saying vnto me, Make haste, and get thee quickly out of Hierusalem: for they will not receiue thy witnes concerning me.
19 Ninaika, Latabhugenyi, bhenene abho bhamenyele nabhabhoyele mwibhoyelo nokubhabhuma bhalia bhanu bhamwikilisishe mu bhuli likofyanyisho.
Then I sayd, Lord, they know that I prisoned, and beat in euery Synagogue them that beleeued in thee.
20 Na manyinga ga Stefano unu aliga na kubhambalila yejile iketika, anye one naliga nimeleguyu ayei no kwikilisha naliga nindida jingubho jabhalya bhanu bhamwitile.'
And when the blood of thy martyr Steuen was shed, I also stood by, and consented vnto his death, and kept the clothes of them that slew him.
21 Mbe nawe abhwilie, 'Genda, ku songa anye enija okukutuma ugende kula ku bhanu bha maanga.'”
Then he sayd vnto me, Depart: for I will send thee farre hence vnto the Gentiles.
22 Abhanu nibhamwikilisisha aike ingulu yo musango gunu. Nawe nibhasekana kwa ingulu no kwaika mumusoshemo omunu unu mu nsi: KU songa ateile okulama
And they heard him vnto this worde, but then they lift vp their voyces, and sayd, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not meete that he should liue.
23 Bhejile bhakaika kwo bhulaka bhwa ingulu, nokwesa emyenda jebhwe no kututumulila oluteli ingulu,
And as they cried and cast off their clothes, and threw dust into the aire,
24 Omutangasha omukulu nalagilila Paulo aletwe mulugo. Nalagilila abhusibhwe enu nabhumwa jinyabhakola, koleleki omwene amenye ku bhaki bhaliga nibhamusekanila kutyo.
The chiefe captaine commanded him to be led into the castle, and bade that he should be scourged, and examined, that he might knowe wherefore they cryed so on him.
25 Ao bhalinga nibhamubhoya jingoe, Paulo namubhwila akinda ulya unu emeleguyu ayei nange, “Mbe ni bhwekisi kwemwe okumubhuma omunu unu ali Murumi kenu achali kulamulwa?”
And as they bound him with thongs, Paul sayd vnto the Centurion that stood by, Is it lawfull for you to scourge one that is a Romane, and not condemned?
26 Omutangasha ulya ejile ongwa emisango jinu, nagenda omutagasha mukulu no kumubhwila, naika, “Owenda kukolaki? Kwo kubha omunu unu ni mrumi.”
Nowe when the Centurion heard it, hee went, and tolde the chiefe captaine, saying, Take heede what thou doest: for this man is a Romane.
27 Omutangasha mukulu naja no kumubhwila, “nuumbwile, angu awe uli mwenengo walumi? Paulo naika, “Yee.”
Then the chiefe captaine came, and sayd to him, Tel me, art thou a Romane? And he said, Yea.
28 Omutangasha omukulu na musubhya, “Ni tulile bhungusi bhwafu bhwa jimpilya nio nimbona obhwenengo.”Nawe Paulo namubhwila, “Anye nili mwibhulywa we chirumi.”
And the chiefe captaine answered, With a great summe obtained I this freedome. Then Paul sayd, But I was so borne.
29 Mbe bhanu bhalinga nibhenda okumubhusha nibhasokao nibhakiga omwanya ogwo ogwo. No mutangasha omukulu one no bhaya, ejile amenya ati Paulo ni murumi niyo insonga namubhoya.
Then straightway they departed from him, which should haue examined him: and the chiefe captaine also was afrayd, after he knewe that hee was a Romane, and that he had bound him.
30 Olunaku lunu lwalubhie, omutangasha mukulu aliga nenda okumenya echimali okulubhana no bhusitaki bhwa bhayaudi ingulu ya Paulo. Kwibhyo namusulumula ebhibhoyelo bhyae nalagilila abhagabhisi abhakulu na libhalaja lyona bhabhugagane. Namuleta Paulo emwalo, no kumutula agati-gati yebhwe.
On the next day, because hee would haue knowen the certaintie wherefore he was accused of the Iewes, he loosed him from his bonds, and commanded the hie Priests and all their Councill to come together: and he brought Paul, and set him before them.
