< Ebhikolwa bhya Jintumwa 13 >
1 Woli mwikanisa llya Antiokia, bhaliga bhalio abhalagi abhandi amwi na bheigisha. Bhaliga Barnaba, Simeoni (unu aliga natogwa Nigeri). Lukio awa Krene, Manaeni (omuili unu atali wa manyiga ga Herode omutangasha wa lijimbho) na Sauli.
Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 Anu bhaliga nibhamulamya Latabugenyi ne chisibho, Mwoyo Mwelu aikile, “munyaulile kumbhali Barnaba na Sauli, bhakole emilimu jinu nabhabhilikie.”
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
3 Likanisa lyejile lyamala echisibho, okusabhwa no kubhatelako amabhoko abhanu bhanu, mbe nibhabhasiga bhagende.
And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid [their] hands on them, they sent [them] away.
4 Kulwejo Barnaba na Sauli bhamwolobhee Mwoyo Mwelu nibhatelemuka okuja Seleukia; Okusokeyo mbhalabha KU nyanja okuja mwisinga elya Kipro.
So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
5 Anu bhaliga mu musi gwa Salami, bhalasishe omusango gwa Nyamuanga mu mekofyanyisho ga Abhayaudi. one nokubha bhaliga amwi na Yohana Marko kuti msakisi webhwe.
And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to [their] minister.
6 Bhejile bhagenda mwisiga lyona bhakiga Pafo, bhasangile munu mulebhe mulosi, Omuyaudi omulagi wo lubheyi, unu lisina lyae aliga ali Bar Yesu.
And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name [was] Bar-jesus:
7 Omulosi unu aliga ali amwi no Mtwale Sergio Paulus, unu aliga ali munu wo bhenge. Omunu unu abhakokele Barnaba na Sauli, kulwo kubha aganenda okungwa omusango gwa Nyamuanga.
Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.
8 Mbe nawe Elima “Omulosi ulya” (Nkokutyo lisina lyae lyagajuywe) abhaganyishe; alegejishe okumuindula omutwale ulya asoke mulikilisha.
But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
9 Mbe nawe Sauli unu aliga nabhilikilwa Paulo, aliga ejusibhwe na Mwoyo Mwelu, Mbe namulolelela neke-neke.
Then Saul, (who also [is called] Paul, ) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
10 Mbe naika “awe omwana wa nyakusheta unu wijusibhe no bhwijigi-jigi bha bhuli nyami no bhulenga. Awe uli musoko wa bhuli chinu che chimali. Utakusiga okujiindula jinjila ja Latabugenyi, angu outula?
And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, [thou] child of the devil, [thou] enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
11 Mbe Lola woli, okubhoko kwa Latabugenyi kuli ingulu yao, na ouja okuofula. Utakulilola lisubha ko mwanya” Ao nao oluwe ne chisute nibhimugwila Elimas; Nabha okwiinda-inda aliya-la no kusabhwa abhanu bhamutangashe kwo kumugwata okubhoko.
And now, behold, the hand of the Lord [is] upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
12 Omutwale ejile alola ganu gabhonekene, ekilisishe, kulwo kubha atang'ang'asibhwe kwo kulubhana na meigisho ga Latabugenyi.
Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.
13 Mbe woli Paulo na bhasani bhae nibhagenda mu lugendo lwa mumaji nibhasoka Pafo nibhakinga Perge mu Pamfilia. nawe Yohana abhasigile nasubha Yerusalemu.
Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.
14 Paulo no musani wae nibhagenda mulugendo lwo kusoka Perge nibhakinga Antiokia eya Pisidia. Eyo bhagendele mulikofyanyisho ku lusiku olwa isabhato nibhakinga nibhenyanja.
But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.
15 Bhejile bhamala okusoma ebhilagilo na bhalagi, abhatangasha bhe likofyanyisho abhasilie omusango nibhaika, “Bhaili, mkabha ne misango jo kubhatamo omwoyo abhanu anu, mwaike.”
And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, [Ye] men [and] brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
16 Kulwejo Paulo emeleguyu no kubhaungisha okubhoko; aikile, “Emwe abhalume bha Israel bhanu omumwolobhela Nyamuanga, Mbe mutegeleshe.
Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with [his] hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.
17 Nyamuanga wa bhanu bhanu abha Israeli bhanu asolele bha lata weswe no kubhakola bhanu bhafu anu bhaliga bhekae mu Chalo cha Misri, na kulwo kubhoko kwae nabhatangasha.
The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.
18 Mu miaka makumi gana nabhegumilisha mwibhala.
And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.
19 Wejile amala okugasingalisha amanga musanju mu Chalo cha Kanani, abhayanile abhanu bheswe echalo chebhwe okulya omwandu.
And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Chanaan, he divided their land to them by lot.
20 Ganu gone gabhonekene kwiya kafu mu myaka magana gana na makumi gatanu. Okumala ebhinu bhinu bhyona, Nyamuanga nabhayana abhalamusi kukinga ku Samweli Omulagi.
And after that he gave [unto them] judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.
21 Okumala ganu, abhanu mbhasabhwa Omukama, kwibhyo Nyamuanga nabhayana Sauli omwana wa Kisi, omunu wo luganda lwa Benjamini, kubha mukama kwa myaka makumi gana
And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
22 Eishe Nyamuanga namusoshako ku bhukama nabhatelako Daudi abhe mukama webhwe. Okulubhana ne bhya Daudi Nyamuanga aikile ati,”namubhene Daudi omwana wa Yese omunu unu kakondelesha omwoyo gwani; unu kajokola bhuli chinu chinu enenda.”
And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the [son] of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
23 Okusoka mu luganda Lwo munu unu Nyamuanga abhaletee abhaisraeli omwelusi, Yesu, lwa kutyo alagile okukola.
Of this man’s seed hath God according to [his] promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
24 Gunu gwambhile okubhonekana, anu Yesu aliga achali kuja, okwamba Yohana nalasha obhubhatijo bhwo kuta ku bhanu bhona abhaisraeli.
When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
25 Mbe omwene Yohana Anu aliga namalisha emilimu jae, aikile, “Omunyiganilisha ati anye nanye ga? Anye ntali ulya. Mbe mutegeleshe, unu kaja inyuma yani, niteile okugesha ebhilato bhya mu bhigele bhae.
And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not [he]. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of [his] feet I am not worthy to loose.
26 Bhana bhasu, abhana bho lwibhulo lwa Abraham, na bhalya mwimwe bhanu omumulamya Nyamuanga, ni ingulu yemwe ati omusango gunu gwo mwelulo gwatumilwe.
Men [and] brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
27 Mu bhalya bhanu bhekae Yerusalemu, na abhatungi bhebhwe, bhatamumenyele mu chimali, nolwo bhatagumenyele omusango gwa bhalagi bhanu abhasomwa bhuli sabhato; Kulwejo bhakumisishe omusango gwa bhalagi ogwo kumulamula Yesu kufwa.
For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled [them] in condemning [him].
28 Nolwo kutyo bhatabhwene nsonga yona yona ye kisi yo kufwa kwa Yesu, nawe bhamusabhile Pilato amwite.
And though they found no cause of death [in him], yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.
29 Bhejile bhamala bhyona bhinu bhyandikilwe okulubhana no mwene bhamwisishe okusoka kwiti no kumumamya munfwa.
And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took [him] down from the tree, and laid [him] in a sepulchre.
30 Mbe nawe Nyamuanga namusulula okusoka mu bhafuye.
But God raised him from the dead:
31 Abhonekene KU nsiku nyafu kubhalya bhanu bhalibhataga nage okusoka Galilaya no kuja Yerusalemu. Abhanu bhanu woli ni bhabhambhansi bha bhanu.
And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
32 Kwibyo echibhaletela emisango jo bhwana okulubhana ne milago jinu bhasaja bheswe bhayanilwe.
And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,
33 Nyamuanga ateyeo emilago jinu kwiswe, abhana bhebhwe kwijo amusuluye Yesu no kumkola kubha muanga lindi. Gunu gwone gwandikilwe mu jabhuli eya kabhili: “Awe uli mwana wani, lelo nabha esomwana”
God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
34 One ejibhonekana mu chimali na ati amusuluye okusoka mubhafue koleleki omubhili gwae gwasiga kunyamuka, kaika kutya: “Enijokuyana obhulengelesi na amabhando ge chimali mu Daudi.”
And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, [now] no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.
35 Inu niyo insonga kaika one mu jabhuli eindi, “utakwikilisha omwelu wao abhonekane no bhubhosi.”
Wherefore he saith also in another [psalm], Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
36 Wejile Daudi amala okukolela elyenda lya Nyamuanga mu lwibhulo lwae, amamile, amamibhwe amwi na bhesemwene, na abhubhwene obhunyamuke,
For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
37 Mbe nawe unu asuluywe na Nyamuanga atabhwene bhunyamke.
But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.
38 Kwibyo na jimenyekane kwimwe, Bhaili, okulabha ku munu unu okusasilwa kwe bhikayo kwasimuywe.
Be it known unto you therefore, men [and] brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39 Ku mwene bhuli unu kekilisha kabhalilwa echimali na masango gona age bhilagilo bhya Musa bhitakabhayanile chimali.
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
40 Kwibyo mubhega bhekengi ati chinu bhaikilie abhalagi chitabhonekana kwimwe:
Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;
41 Mbe Lola, emwe bhanu omugaya, mulugule no kusimagila; lwa kutyo enikola emilimu mu nsiku jemwe, omulimu gunu mtakutula kugwikilisha, nolwo omunu akabhelesha.”
Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.
42 Mumwanya ogwo Paulo na Barnaba Bhejile bhasokao, abhanu nibhabhasabhwa bhaike emisango jo lusiku lwa Isabhato Inu eija.
And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
43 Mu mwanya gwe likofyanyisho gwejile gwawa, Abhayaudi bhafu nabheikanyibhwa mu chimali bhabhalubhile Paulo na Barnaba, bhanu bhaikile nabho na nibhakomelesha bhagendelele mu chigongo cha Nyamuanga.
Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
44 Isabhato Inu yalubhie, kuti musi gwona gwekofanyishe okutegelesha omusango gwa Nyamuanga.
And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
45 Abhayaudi Bhejile bhalola elikofyanya, mbhejula lifuwa no kwaika amasango ago gagailwe ku bhinu bhinu bhyaikwaga na Paulo no kumufuma.
But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
46 Mbe nawe Paulo na Barnaba bhaikile kwo bhubhasi no kwaika, “kwaliga kuli kwa bhusi-bhusi ati omusango gwa Nyamuanga gwaikililwe kwimwe okwamba. kwo kubha mwangukuliye kula okusoka kwimwe no kwilola ati mwaliga muteile kubhona obhuwanga bha kajanende, mbe mulole echijobhaindukila abhanyamaanga. (aiōnios )
Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios )
47 Lwa kutyo Latabugenyi Achilagilie, naika ati, “nibhateyeo emwe kuti bhelu ku bhanu bha maanga, koleleki mulete omwelulo ku mabhala gone age chalo.”
For so hath the Lord commanded us, [saying], I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48 Amaanga gejile gogwa gunu, bhukondeleywe no kugukusha omusango gwa Latabugenyi. Bhafu bhanu bhasolelwe kwo bhuanga bha kajanende bhekilisishe. (aiōnios )
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. (aiōnios )
49 Omusango gwa Latabugenyi niguswila chalo chona.
And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.
50 Mbe nawe Abhayaudi bhabhelembelejishe bhanu bhesosishe na Abagasi abha insonga, amwi na abhatangasha bho musi. Ganu gasoelesishe Jinyako KU Paulo na Barnaba okwiya mbhabhesa anja yo lubibi lwo musi.
But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.
51 Mbe nawe Paulo na Barnaba nibhakukumula oluteli mu magulu gebhwe. Okumala nibhagenda mu musi gwa Ikonia.
But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.
52 Abheigisibhwa nibhejusibhwa no kukondelwa amwi na Mwoyo Mwelu.
And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.
