ಜೆಕರ್ಯನು 1
1 ಪರ್ಷಿಯಾದ ಅರಸ ದಾರ್ಯಾವೆಷನ ಎರಡನೆಯ ವರ್ಷ, ಎಂಟನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಇದ್ದೋನನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನೂ, ಬೆರಕ್ಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಜೆಕರ್ಯನೆಂಬ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿತು:
In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, hath a word of Jehovah been unto Zechariah, son of Berechiah, son of Iddo, the prophet, saying:
2 “ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಹು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
'Jehovah was wroth against your fathers — wrath!
3 ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳತಕ್ಕದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: ‘ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ,’ ಎಂದು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆಗ, ‘ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು,’ ಎಂದು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
And thou hast said unto them, Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, turn back unto Me, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, And I turn back unto you, said Jehovah of Hosts.
4 ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಹಾಗಿರಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪೂರ್ವದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳು ಕೂಗಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Ye shall not be as your fathers, To whom the former prophets called, saying: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, Turn back I pray you, From your evil ways and from your evil doings, And they did not hearken, Nor attend to Me — an affirmation of Jehovah.
5 ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳೋ, ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳು, ಅವರು ನಿತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಬದುಕುತ್ತಾರೋ?
Your fathers — where [are] they? And the prophets — to the age do they live?
6 ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳೂ, ನನ್ನ ನಿಯಮಗಳೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? “ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು, ‘ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಮಗೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಚಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.”
Only, My words, and My statutes, That I commanded My servants the prophets, Have they not overtaken your fathers, And they turn back and say: As Jehovah of Hosts designed to do to us, According to our ways, and according to our doings, So He hath done to us?'
7 ದಾರ್ಯಾವೆಷನ ಎರಡನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ, ಹನ್ನೊಂದನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಾದ ಶೇಬಾಟ್ ಎಂಬ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಇದ್ದೋನನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನೂ, ಬೆರಕ್ಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಜೆಕರ್ಯನೆಂಬ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿತು:
On the twenty and fourth day of the eleventh month, (it [is] the month of Sebat, ) in the second year of Darius, hath a word of Jehovah been unto Zechariah, son of Berechiah, son of Iddo, the prophet, saying:
8 ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ದರ್ಶನವಾಯಿತು. ಕೆಂಪು ಕುದುರೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸವಾರಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಒಬ್ಬನು, ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಗಂಧದ ಗಿಡಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕೆಂಪು, ಕಂದು ಬಣ್ಣದ ಹಾಗು ಬಿಳಿಯ ಕುದುರೆಗಳು ಇದ್ದವು.
I have seen by night, and lo, one riding on a red horse, and he is standing between the myrtles that [are] in the shade, and behind him [are] horses, red, bay, and white.
9 ಆಗ ನಾನು, “ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ಇವೇನು?” ಎಂದೆನು. ಆಗ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ದೇವದೂತನು, “ಇವೇನೆಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
And I say, 'What [are] these, my lord?' And the messenger who is speaking with me saith unto me, 'I — I do shew thee what these [are].'
10 ಆಗ ಗಂಧದ ಗಿಡಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ನಿಂತ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು, “ಇವರು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಡೆದಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾದವರು,” ಎಂದನು.
And the one who is standing between the myrtles doth answer and say, 'These [are] they whom Jehovah hath sent to walk up and down in the land.'
11 ಆಗ ಅವರು ಗಂಧದ ಗಿಡಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ನಿಂತ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೂತನಿಗೆ, “ಭೂಮಿಯ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಡೆದಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇಗೋ, ಭೂಮಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಶ್ಚಿಂತೆಯಿಂದ ಶಾಂತವಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದನು.
And they answer the messenger of Jehovah who is standing between the myrtles, and say, 'We have walked up and down in the land, and lo, all the land is sitting still, and at rest.'
12 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ದೂತನು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟು: “ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಎಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ಕನಿಕರಿಸದೆ ಇರುವಿರಿ? ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಈ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಸಿಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಲ್ಲವೋ?” ಎಂದನು.
And the messenger of Jehovah answereth and saith, 'Jehovah of Hosts! till when dost Thou not pity Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, that Thou hast abhorred these seventy years?'
13 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ದೂತನಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದಲೂ, ಆದರಣೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
And Jehovah answereth the messenger, who is speaking with me, good words, comfortable words.
14 ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ದೂತನು ನನಗೆ, “ಇದನ್ನು ಸಾರಿ ಹೇಳು: ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: ನಾನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ, ಚೀಯೋನಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಹಾ ರೋಷವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
And the messenger who is speaking with me, saith unto me, 'Call, saying: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: I have been zealous for Jerusalem, and for Zion [with] great zeal.
15 ನಿಶ್ಚಿಂತೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿರುವ ಇತರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಬಹಳ ಕೋಪವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಿಟ್ಟುಗೊಂಡಿರಲು, ಅವರು ಸಂಕಟಕ್ಕೆ ಇನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕೇಡು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದರು.
And [with] great wrath I am wroth against the nations who are at ease, For I was a little wroth, and they assisted — for evil.
16 “ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ: ‘ನಾನು ಕನಿಕರದಿಂದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಆಲಯವು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಲಾಗುವುದು. ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಳತೆಯ ನೂಲು ಚಾಚಲಾಗುವುದು,’ ಎಂದು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Therefore, thus said Jehovah: I have turned to Jerusalem with mercies, My house is built in it, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, And a line is stretched over Jerusalem.
17 “ಪುನಃ ನೀನು ಸಾರಿ, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: ನನ್ನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಇನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಹರಡುವುವು. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಚೀಯೋನನ್ನು ಆದರಿಸುವರು. ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು, ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.”
Again call, saying: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, Again do my cities overflow from good, And Jehovah hath again comforted Zion, And He hath fixed again on Jerusalem.'
18 ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿದಾಗ, ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕೊಂಬುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದೆನು.
And I lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, four horns.
19 ಆಗ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ದೂತನಿಗೆ ನಾನು, “ಇದೇನು?” ಎಂದೆನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟು, “ಇವು ಯೆಹೂದ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನೂ ಚದರಿಸಿದ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳು,” ಎಂದನು.
And I say unto the messenger who is speaking with me, 'What [are] these?' And he saith unto me, 'These [are] the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.'
20 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕಮ್ಮಾರರನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.
And Jehovah doth shew me four artisans.
21 ನಾನು, “ಇವರು ಏನು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ?” ಎಂದೆನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು, “ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ತಲೆಯೆತ್ತದಂತೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಚದರಿಸುವ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳು ಅವು. ಆದರೆ ಇವರು ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಚದರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ತಲೆಯೆತ್ತಿದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳನ್ನೇ ಚದರಿಸಿ, ಅದರ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿ ಹಾಕುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
And I say, 'What [are] these coming in to do?' And He speaketh, saying: 'These [are] the horns that have scattered Judah, so that no one hath lifted up his head, and these come in to trouble them, to cast down the horns of the nations who are lifting up a horn against the land of Judah — to scatter it.'
