ಪರಮಗೀತೆ 3
1 ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದೆನು; ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಪ್ರಿಯನನ್ನು ಹುಡಕಿದೆನು. ಅವನನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ಅವನು ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
On my bed at night I sought the one I love; I sought him, but did not find him.
2 ನಾನು ಎದ್ದು, ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ, ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಪ್ರಿಯನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಾಡಿದೆನು. ಅವನನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ಅವನು ಸಿಗಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
I will arise now and go about the city, through the streets and squares. I will seek the one I love. So I sought him but did not find him.
3 ನಾನು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದಾಗ, “ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಪ್ರಿಯನನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕಂಡಿರಾ?” ಎಂದು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದೆ.
I encountered the watchmen on their rounds of the city: “Have you seen the one I love?”
4 ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ದೂರ ಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ, ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಪ್ರಿಯನನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡೆನು. ನಾನು ಅವನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಮನೆಗೆ, ಹೌದು, ನನ್ನ ಹೆತ್ತವಳ ಕೋಣೆಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಡದೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದೆನು.
I had just passed them when I found the one I love. I held him and would not let go until I had brought him to my mother’s house, to the chamber of the one who conceived me.
5 ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಪುತ್ರಿಯರೇ, ಮೆಚ್ಚುವ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ನೀವು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಲೂ ಬೇಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಅಡವಿಯ ಹುಲ್ಲೆ ಹರಿಣಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
O daughters of Jerusalem, I adjure you by the gazelles and does of the field: Do not arouse or awaken love until the time is right.
6 ರಕ್ತಬೋಳ, ಸಾಂಬ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ವರ್ತಕರು ಮಾರುವ ಸಕಲ ಸುಗಂಧ ದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಧೂಮಸ್ತಂಭಗಳಂತೆ ಅಡವಿಯಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಈ ಮೆರವಣೆಗೆ ಯಾರದು?
Who is this coming up from the wilderness like a column of smoke, scented with myrrh and frankincense from all the spices of the merchant?
7 ನೋಡಿರಿ! ಇದು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ರಥ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅರವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಅದರ ಸುತ್ತಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Behold, it is Solomon’s carriage, escorted by sixty of the mightiest men of Israel.
8 ಯುದ್ಧ ನಿಪುಣರಾದ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಖಡ್ಗ ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಅಪಾಯದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸೊಂಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
All are skilled with the sword, experienced in warfare. Each has his sword at his side prepared for the terror of the night.
9 ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ಮರದಿಂದ ಒಂದು ರಥವನ್ನು ತನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು.
King Solomon has made his carriage out of the timber of Lebanon.
10 ಅವನು ಅದರ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಅದರ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಬಂಗಾರದಿಂದಲೂ ಅದರ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಧೂಮ್ರವರ್ಣದ ವಸ್ತ್ರದಿಂದಲೂ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ್ದನು. ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಪುತ್ರಿಯರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
He has made its posts of silver, its base of gold, its seat of purple fabric. Its interior is inlaid with love by the daughters of Jerusalem.
11 ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಪುತ್ರಿಯರೇ, ನೀವು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ. ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿರಿ. ಅವನ ಮದುವೆಯ ದಿನದಂದು, ಅವನ ಹೃದಯ ಸಂತೋಷಗೊಂಡ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ತೊಡಿಸಿದ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ಅವನು ಧರಿಸಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಬಂದು ನೋಡಿರಿ.
Come out, O daughters of Zion, and gaze at King Solomon, wearing the crown his mother bestowed on the day of his wedding— the day of his heart’s rejoicing.
