ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆ 9
1 ಐದನೆಯ ದೇವದೂತನು ತನ್ನ ತುತೂರಿಯನ್ನು ಊದಲು; ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಒಂದು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರವು ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತಾಳ ಸುರಂಗದ ಬೀಗದ ಕೈ ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. (Abyssos g12)
AND the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven to the earth; and to him was given the key of the pit of the abyss of hell. (Abyssos g12)
2 ಆತನು ಆ ಪಾತಾಳವನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯಲು, ಅದರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊಗೆಯು ಮಹಾ ಕುಲುಮೆಯಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಹೊಗೆಯಂತೆ ಏರಿತು. ಪಾತಾಳದ ಆ ಹೊಗೆಯಿಂದ ಸೂರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕತ್ತಲು ಕವಿಯಿತು. (Abyssos g12)
And he opened the pit of the abyss; and a smoke ascended out of the pit like the smoke of a vast furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit. (Abyssos g12)
3 ಆ ಹೊಗೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂದವು. ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಚೇಳುಗಳಿಗೆ ಇರುವಂತೆ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
And out of the smoke came forth locusts upon the earth; and power was given to them, such power as the scorpions of the earth possess.
4 ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಣೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರ ಮುದ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಹುಲ್ಲು ಅಥವಾ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪಲ್ಯ ಅಥವಾ ಮರ, ಈ ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ತೊಂದರೆ ಕೊಡಬಾರದೆಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಯಿತು.
And it was told them, Hurt not the grass of the earth, nor any herb, nor any tree, but only those men who have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
5 ಅವುಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲದೆ, ಐದು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಯಾತನೆಪಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಅವರ ಯಾತನೆಯು, ಚೇಳು ತನ್ನ ಕೊಂಡಿಯಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕುಟುಕಿಹಾಕಿದಾಗ ಆಗುವ ನೋವಿನಂತಿತ್ತು.
And it was given them in charge that they should not kill these men outright, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment is as the torment of a scorpion when he striketh a man.
6 ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ಮರಣವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವರು, ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕಾಣರು; ಅವರು ಸಾಯಲು ಹಾರೈಸುವರು, ಆದರೆ ಮರಣವು ಅವರಿಂದ ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗುವುದು.
And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall earnestly desire to die, and death shall fly from them.
7 ಆ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸನ್ನದ್ಧವಾದ ಕುದುರೆಗಳಂತಿದ್ದವು. ಅವುಗಳ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಿನ್ನದಂತಿರುವ ಕಿರೀಟಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಅವುಗಳ ಮುಖವು ಮಾನವರ ಮುಖಗಳಂತೆ ಇದ್ದವು.
And the figures of the locusts were like horses equipped for war; and upon their heads there were as crowns, like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
8 ಅವುಗಳ ಕೂದಲು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರ ಕೂದಲಿನಂತಿದ್ದು, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಂಹಗಳಿಗಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳಿದ್ದವು.
And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions.
9 ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಕವಚದಂಥ ಕವಚಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಅವುಗಳ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳ ಶಬ್ದವು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡುವ ಅನೇಕ ರಥಾಶ್ವಗಳಂತಿತ್ತು.
And they had breastplates, as breastplates of iron: and the sound of their wings was as the rumbling of chariots of many horses rushing to battle.
10 ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಚೇಳಿನಂತೆ ಬಾಲವೂ ಕೊಂಡಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದವು. ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಐದು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳ ಕಾಲ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಲಗಳಿಂದ ಬಾಧಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವಿತ್ತು.
And they had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and they had power to hurt men five months.
11 ಹೀಬ್ರೂ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಬದ್ದೋನ್ ಎಂದೂ ಗ್ರೀಕ್ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಪೊಲ್ಲುವೋನ್ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಪಾತಾಳ ಲೋಕದ ದೂತನು ಅವರ ಅರಸನು. (Abyssos g12)
And they had over them a king, the angel of the abyss of hell, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he is called Appollyon. (Abyssos g12)
12 ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ವಿಪತ್ತು ಕಳೆದುಹೋಯಿತು; ಇಗೋ, ಇವುಗಳ ನಂತರ ಇನ್ನೂ ಎರಡು ವಿಪತ್ತುಗಳು ಬರಲಿವೆ.
One woe is past; and, behold, there are coming yet two woes after these.
13 ಆರನೆಯ ದೇವದೂತನು ತನ್ನ ತುತೂರಿಯನ್ನು ಊದಲು, ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಇರುವ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕೊಂಬುಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಟ ಒಂದು ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದೆನು.
And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a great voice from the four horns of the altar of gold which is before God,
14 ಅದು ತುತೂರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಆರನೆಯ ದೇವದೂತನಿಗೆ, “ಯೂಫ್ರೇಟೀಸ್ ಮಹಾನದಿಯ ಬಳಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿರುವ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದೇವದೂತರನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಬಿಡು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿತು.
saying to the sixth angel who held the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound at the great river Euphrates.
15 ಮಾನವಕುಲದ ಮೂರರಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆ ಗಳಿಗೆ, ದಿನ, ತಿಂಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದೇವದೂತರನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.
And the four angels were loosed, who were ready at the hour, and day, and month, and year, to kill the third part of mankind.
16 ಕುದುರೆ ಸೈನಿಕರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಕೋಟಿ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಕೇಳಿಸಿತು.
And the number of the armies of cavalry was two myriads of myriads and I heard the number of them.
17 ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸವಾರರನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡೆನು. ಅವರ ಕವಚಗಳು ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಕೆಂಪು, ನೀಲಮಣಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಳದಿ ಬಣ್ಣದಂತೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದವು. ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ತಲೆಗಳು ಸಿಂಹದ ತಲೆಗಳಂತಿದ್ದವು. ಅವುಗಳ ಬಾಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬೆಂಕಿ, ಹೊಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗಂಧಕ ಹೊರಬಂದವು.
And in this manner saw I the horses in the vision, and those who were mounted upon them, having breastplates of the colour of fire, and jacinth, and sulphur; and the horses’ heads were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths proceeded fire and smoke and brimstone.
18 ಅವುಗಳ ಬಾಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹೊಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗಂಧಕಗಳೆಂಬ ಮೂರು ಉಪದ್ರವಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನವಕುಲದ ಮೂರರಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಭಾಗದ ಜನರು ಹತರಾದರು.
By these three were slain the third part of mankind, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the sulphur, which proceeded out of their mouths.
19 ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಅವುಗಳ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇತ್ತು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವುಗಳ ಬಾಲಗಳು ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಸರ್ಪಗಳಂತಿದ್ದವು. ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವು ಕೇಡನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ.
For their powers are in their mouth, and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents, having heads, and with them they do hurt.
20 ಈ ಉಪದ್ರವಗಳಿಂದ ಸಾಯದೆ ಉಳಿದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಇನ್ನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಟಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪ ಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನೂ, ನೋಡಲು, ಕೇಳಲು, ನಡೆಯಲು ಆಗದ ಚಿನ್ನ, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ, ತಾಮ್ರ, ಕಲ್ಲು ಮತ್ತು ಮರಗಳ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವುದನ್ನೂ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And the residue of mankind, who were not slain by these plagues, repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of wood, and of stone: which can neither see nor hear, nor walk:
21 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಕೊಲೆ, ಮಾಟ, ಜಾರತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಕಳ್ಳತನಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪ ಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
and they repented not of their murders, nor of their magical arts, nor of their whoredom, nor of their thefts.
