ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 8

1 ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕನಿಗಾಗಿರುವ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಗಿತ್ತೀ ರಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು. ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ವೈಭವವುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ! ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

For the Chief Musician; set to the Gittith. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth, Who hast set thy glory upon the heavens!

2 ಸಣ್ಣ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮತ್ತು ಹಾಲುಣ್ಣುವ ಕೂಸುಗಳ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರದ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಭದ್ರಕೋಟೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವವರನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ಸುಮ್ಮಗಿರಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established strength, Because of thine adversaries, That thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

3 ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೆರಳಿನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲವನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ ಚಂದ್ರನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ,

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

4 ನೀವು ಮಾನವರನ್ನು ನೆನಸಲು ಅವರು ಎಷ್ಟರವರು? ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಿಡಲು ಅವನು ಯಾರು?

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?

5 ನೀವು ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾನವನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಿರೀಟವಾಗಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

For thou hast made him but little lower than God, And crownest him with glory and honor.

6 ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಕೃತಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ಸಮಸ್ತವನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಪಾದಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೀರಿ:

Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet:

7 ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಡವಿಯ ಮೃಗಗಳನ್ನೂ

All sheep and oxen, Yea, and the beasts of the field,

8 ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೀನುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಹಾದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿಧವಾದ ಜೀವಜಂತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಪಾದಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, Whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

9 ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಮಹಿಮೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ!

O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth!
